Chapter 667: God Creation Begins (Part 2)

In order to ensure our player can smoothly inherit the legacy of the Ghost Prophet, the Divine Lord even dispatched someone to take over the ghost inheritance, extracting the soul of the trialist to repair the inheritance. Thinking carefully, only the Divine Lord could possibly control the inheritance left by the demigod.

Therefore, it is believable that this group does not kill indiscriminately, because every country has its own Holy Domain; they might inadvertently kill someone from their own Holy Domain. If Mercury admits he's from the Kingdom of Gospel, but if this group isn't backed by the All-knowing Weaver, he's certainly doomed.

Thus, Mercury sighed deeply and showed the reward he got from the ghost inheritance.

The man in black glanced at it, frowned, and asked, "Where's the main story? We know how much you took from the side stories and the main story; you must have at least one main story in your possession now."

Mercury: "What I got from the main story isn't a Technique Spirit or a Miracle, just a piece of information."

"What information is worth a main story?"

"About the God Creation Ritual for the 'Stationary God.'"

...

...

With a snap, Mercury fell backward, his body almost becoming transparent. A bewildered Four-winged Technique Spirit flew out from his body, looking around in confusion, but was swiftly caught by Sonia.

"This Miracle is already very stable." Igula lifted the black hood and pondered: "Neither a casting failure nor an incorrect Technique Spirit was stolen, so there's no need for modifications currently."

The people in black, of course, were Sonia, Diya, Weiser, and Igula.

Since Igula had to improve the technique, naturally, they couldn't hide the effect of Dreams Come True. After learning what they intended to do, Igula began improving the technique and made three suggestions.

First, everyone should disguise themselves in black clothing. If by chance they encounter a Holy Domain they've met before, whether to kill or not?

Second, they should disguise as subordinates of the Divine Lord, claiming they are repairing the ghost inheritance, while their companions were inheriting the ghost's overall legacy.

Lastly, they should rob parts of the ghost inheritance rewards from their victims.

"The rewards from the ghost inheritance are unexpected surprises for them and won't harm their existing Technique Spirit system, so losing the ghost rewards falls within their 'comfort loss zone.'"

"Comfort loss zone?" Diya expressed some confusion.

Igula: "People don't truly hate losses; sometimes they even rely on loss to gain a sense of security. For example, a lover might cater to their partner's kink, tolerate their unreasonable antics, waste time fulfilling their insignificant needs, all damaging their interests to gain 'security' in the relationship."

"Similarly, during a robbery, if the robber only asks for a little money, the victim might end up feeling grateful. This is because the actual loss contrasts with the anticipated massive loss and remains within an acceptable range, making the victim feel 'lucky' despite losing money, even willing to forgo pursuing it further."

"As long as you hit the 'comfort loss zone,' people will comply with your demands."

Besides Diya, Sonia and Weiser listened intently. Actually, they had already explored similar theories through life experiences; it just hadn't formed a system. Hearing Igula's advanced swindler secret suddenly enlightened them greatly.

As for the plan to trick trialists out of their Technique Spirits, not only Igula but Sonia's team were also in full agreement.

Killing might require some consideration on their part, but deceiving for Technique Spirits carried no mental burden—mages in the Void Realm are bound by competition, you should reflect on yourself if you're deceived!

Moreover, they racked their brains to save these people's lives; asking for a Technique Spirit as payment wasn't too much!

However, they hadn't expected things to go this smoothly.

Igula possessed the ghost main story "Soul Enchantment," which happened to synergize with the first half of the technique "Dreams Come True," increasing soul extraction rate while reducing soul damage, quickly creating a safe version of Dreams Come True.

The first five attempts either failed or couldn't obtain the specified Technique Spirit, but soon things were on the right track. Through several iterations of improvements, the new Dreams Come True had turned into a sustainable miracle for soul harvesting.

So much so that Sonia's team even started to feel restless—should they take the opportunity to steal a Four-winged Technique Spirit for themselves? Such a chance to reap from the Void Realm might only occur this once; anyway, Nightmare had given them fifty slots!

"Come over here."

Weiser suddenly called them over and said, "This God Creation Ritual for the Stationary God is unexpectedly simple."

Igula stood aside, not approaching. Diya glanced at him and read: "Integrate the 'quiet' concept into yourself, then carry the Four-winged Temple Lock, Four-winged Flow Cut, and Four-winged Gray Erosion Technique Spirit within your soul into the Static Domain and persist for one White Bull cycle to create the Stationary God."

"Simple is simple." Sonia remarked: "But not mentioning the quiet concept; who can persist for a White Bull cycle within the Static Domain? Or was there a miracle to act within the Static Domain previously?"

"The final step of the soul divine status flow is to endure the curse of the Void Realm." Weiser shook her head: "Even if there were a miracle, it's likely unusable, as the curse of the Static Domain is a necessary condition for the birth of the Stationary God."

"No wonder the soul divine status flow fell into oblivion." Sonia shrugged: "If the final step requires enduring the Void Realm's curse that mages can't withstand, it's no wonder it's fallen out of fashion today."

Yet, Weiser was thoughtfully watching Sonia, causing the latter to blink, "What's up?"

"Do you have any Technique Spirits you want?"

Weiser suddenly said, "Given this rare opportunity, it'd be a waste not to exploit it fully; let's steal a few Technique Spirits we need."

...

...

Igula slowly opened his eyes.

Outside Black Robe Town, it was still dark; he was still under the influence of the Mirror of Flowers. Inside his soul, not only did he not lack Technique Spirits, but gained several soul spirits.

The Technique Spirits stolen through Dreams Come True naturally went into the hands of Sonia's trio. Yet, since swindling Technique Spirits from Holy Sanctuary Mages was Igula's idea, plus his help in improving the Miracle Technique, they let Igula choose a few as rewards from the stolen Technique Spirits.

Igula left his room, twisted Ash's door handle but didn't open it, so he pulled out a spare key to enter directly.

He saw the red-haired girl lying quietly in bed, serene expression, lips slightly pursed, as if she were attending a sweet dream.

Igula walked to the bedside and stared for a long time, quietly saying, "It really is identical..."

"Is it beautiful?"

Black Crow's distorted voice came from the door, as if he suddenly appeared there. He always moved silently, making the wicked wonder cold sweat and chilling their spines.

But this didn't apply to Igula.

"Your tone, why does it sound like you're showing off?" Igula said: "Or have you seen it many times?"

"He's worth showing off."

Gotten by this weird guy, Igula rubbed his sore head, shook his head, and left the room. He said to the Black Crow as he passed, "Since you want to watch, keep an eye on him for these two days, don't leave his side."

After a moment's silence, Black Crow firmly asked, "Where does the danger come from?"

Igula glanced at him: "The danger comes from himself, from the Void Realm you cannot touch."

When Igula left, Black Crow sat beside Ash's bed, quietly watching the floor.

Like a dejected crow.

*

In the golden hall, Ash, who was resting with closed eyes, stood up and greeted his returning teammates with his gaze.

"All the Technique Spirits on the list have been gathered." Sonia shouted to Nightmare: "The extra Technique Spirits we got due to 'casting errors' should count as our personal gain, right?"

"As long as you don't take Technique Spirits from the Nightmare Inheritance, I won't intervene." Nightmare said.

It raised its hand, and the Technique Spirits flew towards the crystal walls on either side of the golden hall, flashing brightly as if detecting a miracle.

Seconds later, Nightmare said, "All materials are ready."

"God Creation, begin."
