Chapter 684: Heart-Bewitching Legacy_2

While Purple Moth and the little bat were discussing, Meiwa had already walked onto the air passage, calmly saying, "Let's go, it's time for the next trial."

"Aren't we going to take a break?" Siflin asked.

"What's there to rest for?" Freyja pouted and said sourly, "I don't have a man to play with anyway..."

Siflin glanced at Hanna, who sighed, went over to tug at Meiwa's hand, didn't manage to move her, so she leaned in and took her arm. "Are you still mad at me?"

"Not at all." Freyja immediately replied angrily, "I had nothing to do with you back then, nor with him, so what right do I have to be mad at you?"

Seeing Meiwa acting like a sulking little girl, Hanna found it both funny and exasperating. A few days ago, Ash finally updated his diary with the Nabistin plot, or more directly, the night he almost got eaten by Hanna.

Since then, Meiwa had been at odds with Hanna. Although they still explored the Eternal City together every night, it wasn't as close as before. If Hanna talked to her, Meiwa would respond indifferently.

Isn't it said that the Blood Moonians are all mature? Isn't it said that Meiwa is quite clever? Hanna thought Blood Moon Meiwa should be the Igula type, but Freyja taught her a lesson - in reality, she has to accompany the little girl Liss, and in the Void Realm, she has to humor the little girl Freyja!

"It's not like what was written in the diary," Hanna said, "You misunderstood!"

"Ash wrote it that way, so it must be true! You definitely used the Slave Contract to control Ash and forced him to kiss you!"

"Listen to my explanation."

"Fine, explain!"

"Actually, we did more than just kiss, but Ash didn't write about that part."

Meiwa was stunned for a moment, staring at her blankly.

Hanna slapped Meiwa on the butt. The sound was quite good, and Meiwa turned around covering her bottom, looking at her aggrievedly.

Purple Moth strode past her, heading towards the Tower, leisurely saying, "Didn't we say we're continuing the exploration? Hurry up and catch up."

When dealing with a childish girl like Freyja who hasn't even graduated from kindergarten, you can't just indulge her. The more you give in, the more arrogant she becomes. Occasionally, you need to assert dominance to take control.

Siflin patted her behind and caught up, while Freyja followed Hanna nervously asking, "You're definitely lying to me, right? Right, Hanna, you trickster!"

"Could be~"

"How far did you go? How did it feel? Is he, he, powerful?"

"Who knows~"

While talking, the three of them entered the interior of the Tower, only to find themselves in a grand and magnificent study—if not for the overly conspicuous desk, it could even be called a library.

"The trial is set in the study?" Siflin analyzed, "Then it's not a combat trial. The Time Heritage doesn't want us to damage a single blade of grass in the Eternal City."

"This isn't a test level."

Behind the desk, a golden phantom appeared on the throne. It had five silver Void Wings and a patched-on golden Void Wing. It had no pupils, yet the female mages felt they were being watched.

"This is your endpoint," it said, "Your adventure with the Time Heritage ends here."

Freyja immediately got into a combat stance, "Are you going to kill us!?"

"Idiot!"

Siflin harshly pinched Meiwa's cheek, "The King of Time means we've received the ultimate heritage—we can inherit all of the King of Time's legacy!"

"What?" Meiwa blinked, "Is it already over?"

The King of Time waved his hand gently, and three red leather chairs walked over to the female mages, "Please sit, inheritors."

The three of them looked at each other but understood that if the King of Time truly had ill intentions, they wouldn't be able to resist. So they obediently sat down, their round hips sinking into the soft cushions.

"This place was originally named 'Nexus Between,' the Eternal City Lord's office," the King of Time raised its head, looking at the splendid, embroidered Heavenly Curtain. "It's said to represent the world origin worshiped by ancient elves, although no one knows what this term means now. It was meant to urge the City Lord of the Eternal City to constantly walk the Path of Truth in pursuit of knowledge and mystery."

"After I became the City Lord, I renamed it 'Windmill Between.' Do you know why?"

Hanna and Siflin said nothing, but Freyja thought for a moment, "Windmill? I remember there's a huge windmill building beside the main city of the Garden—"

"That was supposed to be our elves' city!"

The King of Time suddenly exuded powerful waves that blew through the three's hair, making the entire Eternal City tremble slightly!

Even with the King of Time's emotions surging, Freyja dared to reply, "But now nobody knows it was your city, and even the Eternal City is unknown—if it weren't for the Time Heritage appearing, nobody would have known that ancient elves once lived on the Time Continent!"

Hanna widened her eyes at Siflin, who nodded solemnly—when offline, she'd storm Freyja's house and give this foolish Meiwa a good lesson, to let her know it's not always the time to pucker up.

If they ever get the chance to log off, that is...

However, upon hearing this, the King of Time wasn't angered but instead withdrew its aura, lowering its head in a dejected spirit, "Yes, we're already... history."
