Chapter 706: Harvey and Qikara

"Found it!"

On the tenth level of the Silent Spiral, mages are staging air combat amidst the blizzard. They flutter their golden and silver wings through countless hail and frost, dodging the frost miracles created by Oleva.

Oleva hadn't unleashed his Void Wings, but the frost would turn into icy floors, allowing him to leap through the air like a jumping spider, chasing Ash and these flying flies!

Gwen hid within Igula's Holy Domain, clinging to the Swindler, as starlight flickered continuously in her eyes.

Although the Silent Spiral can spawn infinite spaces, it's still within one layer of the Silent Spiral, meaning this grassland must have an entrance and exit!

But the grassland is too vast, and Oleva's Frost Cold Holy Domain creates a storm that covers the entire area, greatly reducing visibility. Coupled with Oleva's mad chase like a rabid dog, searching for the Fog Gate became extremely difficult.

The Starlight Technique Spirit can greatly extend vision range, but every flicker severely affects the retinas; five is the limit, each additional flicker reduces vision. On the ninth flicker, Gwen finally saw the Fog Gate leading to the next level in the extreme distance.

Yet at this moment, a hysterical roar sounded in the blizzard, as if someone was grinding their teeth to dust.

This is no metaphor; everyone felt a pain in their molars, as if their dental nerves were hammered!

Then, within a few breaths, frost covered everyone's bodies, rendering the Holy Domain meaningless at this moment. Moreover, as the frost spread, everyone's thinking speed slowed down—this was a frost miracle affecting the mind!

Buzz!

Suddenly, a fierce light pierced through the Holy Domain, melting the frost on everyone's bodies!

A three-winged Technique Spirit stood on Qikara's shoulder, emitting dazzling warm light, dissolving the white frost on everyone.

Fire Light Technique Spirit!

Qikara's hidden ace!

Most of his fire magic miracles require the Fire Light Technique Spirit to extend attack range and expand attack scope, but using just the Fire Light Technique Spirit can neutralize most water magic miracles!

Though they narrowly escaped disaster, Oleva's second attack had already come! The water in their Holy Domain quickly condensed, about to crystallize and explode, viciously tearing their skin!

They had witnessed this attack many times already, and under immense survival pressure, everyone rapidly gained experience in 'shrinking the Holy Domain' because the smaller the domain, the fewer ice crystals, and sticking closely to the skin could resist this assault. However, Igula had to protect Gwen, so the domain had to cover both of them; he could only hug Gwen tightly to barely shrink the domain to its smallest extent!

After the ice crystal explosion, everyone received only minor injuries, but due to damage chains, others' injuries accumulated on oneself, leaving everyone blood-soaked and wounded all over!

This is the terror of the damage chain.

If the damage chain can be weakened by the Holy Domain to just 60% effect, should each of the five suffer 10 points of damage, they'd endure an additional 6*4=24 points from the damage chain!

If they focus fire on Oleva, causing a total of 10 points of damage to him, they'd each suffer 6 points, and the total for all five would be 30 points!

Normally in battle, the many fighting the few have the advantage, but in the war trial, it's the opposite. If combat breaks out in the war trial, the side with more people suffers the greatest loss!

Of course, Oleva's attack on them was not without cost. While Ash and others were injured, he too was heavily impacted by the damage chain, yet his wounds quickly froze over as if unaffected.

Water magic is inherently adept at healing, and although Oleva primarily focuses on the Level 2 water magic of Frost Cold, how could a Legendary Mage not have healing methods?

Once the endpoint was determined, everyone scattered in the air, making it impossible for Oleva to launch a group attack, taking a long detour towards the Fog Gate of the next level. For some unknown reason, Harvey flew slightly slower, becoming the target of Oleva's pursuit.

Soon, the Fog Gate appeared on the horizon, and Qikara sighed in relief. The pressure from 'the Pope Slayer' Oleva was immense for the Beastman—he grew up hearing Oleva's legendary tales!

To be precise, the Tribulation Fire Temple and the War Holy Temple belonged to rival factions, and he grew up hearing about Oleva's explosive kills of the Tribulation Fire Mages. It could even be said that Oleva rose step by step stepping on the Tribulation Fire Temple; there used to be rumors that Oleva specialized in water magic to extinguish tribulation fire!

Even though Oleva is now mentally troubled, he's still a legendary figure with a mental disorder! It sounds dangerously intense! The Beastman felt all his cells roaring, urging him to flee!

However, at this moment, Qikara saw Ash and Igula stop before the Fog Gate. He was almost frantic, urging, "Run quickly!"

"Harvey!" Ash also shouted, "Why aren't you running!?"

Qikara turned back to see the Necromancer not approaching the Fog Gate but luring Oleva to another area. Harvey didn't respond to Ash's voice; instead, Oleva's head turned 180° to look at them.

At this time, a Ghost Claw slashed Oleva's neck, leaving corrosive marks on Ash and the others' necks!

Harvey didn't answer; this was the best answer.

"Oleva will chase us to the next level."
