Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 43: Farewell Royena (2)

"Perhaps... I should further investigate the secrets of those 'Demigods' just now. Since they were involved in the Northern Border's war, there must be traces left behind, and there might be more similar 'Demigods' like them."

Charlotte muttered to herself.

With this thought, the Divine Power spread in Charlotte's hand, devouring two Divine Fragments.

Two 'Demigods' have been silenced.

However, the Divine Fragments they left behind are real.

Charlotte estimated that they might have created these 'Demigods' using the power of Creation and the Divine Fragments, although not true 'Demigods,' their Divine Power was genuine. Even after their Divine Fire was extinguished, their Divine Power remained within the Divine Fragments.

Charlotte sensed that although the Divine Power contained within was not as vast as that of true demigods, it was similar to the reserve she had during her God Ascension with the help of hacks. Thoroughly devouring them would not only replenish her recent expenditures but also leave her with a surplus.

These 'Demigods' were weak, so defeating them wasn't strenuous. If she could eliminate several more similar 'Demigods,' the accumulated Divine Power would be quite considerable.

Moreover, they even possessed Divine Fragments that true demigods don't have, which are valuable, helping Charlotte enhance the power of Laws, and can be used to forge Mythical-level Divine Artifacts.

Thinking this way, Charlotte suddenly looked forward to the upcoming war against the Old Gods even more.

"Speaking of which, Royena should have also awakened... huh, that should be Royena, right? She looks similar to the Divine Statue and silhouette of afterlife."

"When I saved her, I felt the aura of 'Creation,' but unfortunately, that Old God Priest died directly."

"However, that aura once lingered on Royena, it did not pollute her soul, but somehow dragged her into a certain Illusion Realm."

"Previously, I was in a hurry to hunt down the demigods and didn't have the time to investigate thoroughly. Going back this time... perhaps I can talk to her."

"And there's Haral; he's been staying at the border. Perhaps he knows something about these 'Demigods.' I should also find him and ask."

"Return to the fortress first, take some rest, and then wait for the Free City State Alliance army. Once ready... we can directly wage war against the Old Gods."

Charlotte muttered to herself.

With this thought, she put away her Divine Power, instantly transforming into a cloud of dark mist which dispersed amidst the forest.

...

In the northern part of the Northern Border, the northern fortress of the Free City State Alliance.

With the support of the third-generation Bloodline experiencing Second Awakening, the invading Old God army of the Alliance had been defeated. Alliance soldiers were busy restoring the city walls damaged by the Old God Priests in the war.

Suddenly, black silhouettes appeared within the fortress, constantly spinning and converging, eventually forming into a graceful figure.

Seeing the figure suddenly appearing in the fortress, the Alliance soldiers immediately grew excited, hurriedly setting down their tasks and greeting her respectfully:

"Lady Lilith!"

"Savior!"

"Long live the Sovereign of the favored clan! Long live the Blood Sovereign!"

Dispelling the Dark Power, Charlotte slightly nodded to the people, acknowledging them.

"Lady Lilith! You've returned! How was it? Did you catch up with those Old Gods?"

Upon learning of Charlotte's return, the fortress garrison leader, Legion Commander of the Alliance Second Legion, hurried over, excitedly asking.

Charlotte nodded and said:

"It's all been taken care of."

Seeing her calm demeanor, the soldiers' gaze grew increasingly revered, erupting with excited cheers:

"Long live Lady Lilith!"

"I knew it; even the Old Gods must fall when Lady Lilith acts!"

"The City State Alliance is invincible! Great Lady Lilith is invincible!"

Charlotte pressed down on the soldiers' cheers with her hand, then looked around and asked:

"Where's Haral?"

"Lord Haral led his troops to pursue the fleeing enemy, he hasn't returned yet."

The Legion Commander replied respectfully.

Hasn't returned yet...

Charlotte felt a bit regretful.

"And the girl I saved?"

She asked again.

"Are you referring to Royena? She's awakened, but her body is still weak, and her injuries haven't fully healed. Cosy is treating her."

The Legion Commander replied.

"Take me to see her."

Charlotte said.

...

Charlotte soon met the Royena she had rescued.

As the Legion Commander had said, Royena was receiving treatment from Cosy in the resting room.

Unlike other forces with faith in Gods, the Free City State Alliance lacked Divine Arts for healing injuries, relying entirely on the Elf inscriptions for treating the wounded.

The so-called Elf inscriptions are essentially portable, engraved on inscription bases, requiring specific activation, miniaturized texts. This text is ancient Elf Language, possessing peculiar strength, capable of affecting Magic Power and even invoking Magic.

Those capable of manipulating these inscriptions are called Elf Inscription Masters.

Cosy is an Elf Inscription Master, and as Charlotte knows, the profession of Elf Inscription Master is also the origin of Alchemists in the afterlife, and even Elf inscriptions are the ancestors of various Magic Arrays.

The Nais Clan is very skilled in Alchemy and Magic Array drawing, and Charlotte strongly suspects it's all inherited from Cosy.

"Lady Lilith."

Seeing Charlotte, Cosy immediately greeted her respectfully.
