Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 54: Charlotte's True God Friend

Northwest of the Mireya Continent, North Sea.

This is a sea region far from the continent, shrouded in mist all year round.

For the fishermen on the Northern Border coast and surrounding islands, this sea is both mysterious and sacred.

Since three years ago, an ancient legend has spread among the coastal fishermen, passed down by word of mouth...

In the legend, this is the domain where the Ocean God resides. Those favored by the Sea God will have smooth sailing, never losing their way at sea. However, those who anger the Sea God will receive the most severe punishment from the ocean, being devoured by storms and waves.

If one is fortunate enough to navigate through the disorienting sea into this region, they may even encounter the envoy of the Ocean God aboard a ghost ship.

Should one board the ghost ship and successfully pass the Ocean God's test, they might even get the chance to meet the Ocean God.

Once the Ocean God's favor is gained, endless wealth or immense power, whatever it may be desired, the Ocean God can fulfill it.

For this reason, despite the terrifying legends of mist and sea monsters in the North Sea, countless fishermen and adventurers have braved death to venture into it over the past three years, hoping to become the legendary "Divine Favored."

Of course, fewer than one in ten fishermen who venture into it return successfully, and becoming a "lucky one" is as rare as the legend itself.

But there are indeed "lucky ones"; over the past three years, there have been no fewer than three fishermen and adventurers who have confirmed receiving the Ocean God's gifts.

Moreover, rumors say that those fishermen and adventurers who did not return have not actually died but were protected by the Sea God and are living in another prosperous and peaceful paradise-like world created by the Sea God for them.

And these various rumors... have further pushed the adventurous activities towards the North Sea to a climax.

As the legend continues to spread, even the fishermen along the coast are now competing to worship the divine statue of the Ocean God, yearning for the Sea God's protection and favor.

The faith in the Ocean God... is subtly becoming like a wildfire along the North Sea coast.

Deep within the North Sea region.

The mist almost covers the entire sea surface, and the moon in the sky has become blurred.

Beneath the calm sea surface, huge shadows occasionally glide past, exuding an aura of terror that sends ripples across the water.

On the sea surface, an ancient Northern Border Dragon Head Sailboat drifts like a ghost.

It bears the typical features of a Dragon Head Warship from the afterlife, but its style is more ancient and rugged, with its tall masts and sails tattered and torn.

There are no crew members on the sailboat, only a skull captain with a horned hat, sitting at the bow fishing, while enormous shadows below the ship occasionally pass by, vying for the bait beneath the fishing rod.

Suddenly, crimson mist spreads over the sea, and the hazy moonlight is tinted with a layer of blood red.

A gentle breeze blows, gradually dispersing the mist on the sea, while the large shadows beneath the sea scatter quickly like a frightened school of fish.

The skull captain slightly twitches.

It slowly raises its head, and upon seeing the crimson mist around and the blood moon in the sky, the soul fire in its deep eye sockets trembles instantly.

It hurriedly puts down the fishing rod and stands up swiftly, bowing respectfully in the direction of the blood moon:

"Christopher, the Sea King's Favored, pays homage to the Eternal Night King, the incarnation of Darkness, Your Majesty, the Blood Ancestor."

The light of the blood moon spreads, countless bats gather from all directions, finally forming the figure of the mature Charlotte at the bow.

She nods slightly at the skull captain, then smiles and says:

"It seems... I have disturbed your fishing again?"

The skull captain quickly shakes his head:

"No, no, I'm just idly playing games with the sea beasts, uh, great Eternal Night King, you... are here to see the Sea King again?"

Charlotte nods, a flash of light appears in her hand, revealing a bottle of Elf Flower Brew:

"I brought some aged brew to meet with Him. Is He in the Sea King Hall?"

The skull captain hesitates slightly.

"Hmm?"

Charlotte raises an eyebrow.

Noticing her expression, the skull captain quickly replies:

"The Sea King is indeed here, but He is receiving guests and has instructed that no one is to disturb Him..."

"Oh? Receiving guests? Oshen has other guests besides me? This 'no one' allowed to disturb, does it also include me?"

Charlotte teases.

Christopher, the skull captain, suddenly feels overwhelmed, even the soul fire trembles:

"This... this..."

"Alright, I won't tease you. I'll call Him myself."

Charlotte shakes her head and says.

When she finished speaking, she took a deep breath and shouted out toward the distant sea:

"Oceanus! An old friend is visiting, won't you invite me in for a chat?"

Her voice was clear and powerful, carried far and wide with the help of her Divine Power.

Soon, the calm sea became turbulent.

Dark clouds quickly gathered, a fierce wind suddenly erupted, and in an instant, the North Sea changed dramatically.

Then, a bold and rugged voice resounded from the sea:

"Who dares to call my true name so brazenly?! ... Uh... Eternal Night...?"

Waves surged and splashed, gradually rising from the sea, eventually forming a vague face.

It was the face of a male with tentacle-like beard and a horned hat, tall and imposing, his presence deep and suffocating, with a terrifying pressure even more potent than when Charlotte fully unleashed her Divine Power.

At first, his expression was filled with anger, like a storm about to sweep across the sea, but when he clearly saw who the visitor was, the anger quickly subsided, replaced by astonishment, embarrassment, and a hint of... guilt.

Charlotte looked at the seawater-converged incarnation of the Sea King with a faint smile:

"What's the matter, Oceanus, it's only been two months, and you can't recognize the voice of this old friend of yours?"

"Hmm, when did I become old friends with you? We're merely acquaintances! If you want to be friends with me, wait until you become a True God!"

The blurry face grumbled.

"Oh? Is that so? I wonder who it was three years ago when a certain weakling was saved from the brink of life and death by a respectable True God who was almost caught off guard by a few mortals, hmm... I won't say who."

Charlotte said languidly.

The expression on the blurry face became even more embarrassed, he coughed repeatedly, glancing at the sea from time to time, while still throwing knowing looks at Charlotte:

"Ahem... alright! Alright! My... old friend, weren't you fighting with those fools from the Northern Border? What brought you here?"

"Something happened, related to those things I mentioned earlier. You've always been curious, so I came looking for you, and I brought your favorite Elf Flower Brew."

Charlotte lifted the brew in her hand and said.

In this three and a half years of pause, Charlotte hasn't always been fighting with the Old Gods.

On paper, the power of the Old Gods seemed immense, but initially, Charlotte didn't realize they were completely scattered and very weak.

Therefore, while resisting the Old Gods, Charlotte never forgot to seek allies to unite against the Old Gods, increasing her chances of victory.

As a transmigrator from the future, Charlotte had a corresponding goal from the beginning: Sea King Oceanus and Moon God Artemis.

The reason was simple, these two are real True Gods, and according to mythical records, they do not get along with the Mireya Old Gods.

It's not just the demigods of the Northern Borders; it even includes the ancient True Gods of Mireya who have not yet awakened. For Charlotte, these two were natural allies.

Moreover, mythological history also records this. As known to Charlotte, in the "real" history, "Lilith" formed an alliance with Sea King Oceanus and Moon God Artemeis, ultimately defeating the forces of the Old Gods completely.

It was because the three gods were allies, they were able to laugh in the end of the Mythical Era, becoming the strongest deities back then.

Of course, later, Artemis, who became disillusioned with the Elf Clan, chose to retire, and the church governed by the Sea King mysteriously declined, eventually leaving only the Bloodline dominant, leading Mireya into the Blood Moon Era.

But that's a story for another time.

As for now, for Charlotte, following history and seeking these two as allies was absolutely reliable and likely to succeed.

As for her being a demigod, and the fact that the two are True Gods... She had concerns initially and wasn't sure if they would disdain her for being a demigod and refuse to converse equally.

Charlotte could only pin her hopes on the intelligence she held, the ace of mastering "future knowledge", along with the "following history" buff.

But when she first met Sea King Oceanus, she knew she had overthought.

No other reason, although this deity is a True God, Charlotte realized when awakening him, according to Bloodline's historical records, that his condition was genuinely miserable.

It wasn't just because a god waking from slumber would have a period of weakness, but also because Oceanus' place of slumber had been discovered. When Charlotte arrived, she happened upon mortal adventurers trying to "Godslay" and seize the Divine Position.

Although by historical inertia, Sea King Oceanus would inevitably escape danger, Charlotte intervened and saved him, thus taking the opportunity to meet him and becoming acquaintances with a "life-saving grace".

And over the past three years, Charlotte taught him the method of faith that the future gods played thoroughly with, helping him regain strength while deepening their friendship.

Now, Sea King Oceanus's strength had recovered to nearly half, far exceeding the current Charlotte.

Of course, even if the power dynamics had reversed, Sea King Oceanus's attitude towards Charlotte hadn't changed much.

For three years, Charlotte often consulted him on the Method of Conferring Gods, and their three-year interaction was enough for Charlotte to discern Sea King Oceanus's character.

Contrary to his rugged and fearsome appearance, he was a deity with a fiery temper, robust body, simple mind, often having a sharp tongue but with a sense of honor, outgoing and slightly arrogant demeanor.

If at first, Charlotte approached him with the idea of holding onto a strong pillar and seeking allies, then now... she truly regarded him as her friend.

No other reason, that kind of personality is exactly her preferred type of friend. In her past life, almost all her close buddies had similar personalities.

And three years have passed, Sea King Oceanus has indeed become Charlotte's True God friend.
