How can one ascend to godhood?
This is a question that Charlotte has been contemplating ever since she became a demigod.
Over the years, she has consulted numerous resources and even directly sought advice from Sea King Oshen. The ultimate conclusion she reached is that she must forge her own divine path.
This divine path must resonate with her Divine Fire, which has already been ignited. It is the fire of her bloodline, kindled with the essence of a "Bloodline Ancestor."
In other words, the most suitable path for Charlotte is to fully master the six Bloodline Paths and become the true Blood True Ancestor.
In other words, when she fully masters the six Bloodline Paths, she will ascend to the Blood Throne and become a True God.
At that time, she will likely completely replace Lilith's position.
Clearly, this is a path that has been "designed" in advance. With the Blood Holy Scripture, as long as Charlotte follows the historical path, she will eventually return as a True Ancestor in another "future."
Charlotte does not resist this "design" because she senses no malice in it.
No, from a certain perspective, this "design" feels more like a transaction, a "transaction" between her and "Lilith."
In the crevices of time, Lilith's statement was clear. She wants Charlotte, the "transmigrator," to change everything, and to change everything, Charlotte needs to become the Blood True Ancestor first.
Up to this point, the entire plan seems flawless.
The problem lies in the fusion of Blood Divine Power and Holy Power during Charlotte's second First Embrace.
The problem is the feeling that came over her during the large-scale Creation Phenomenon, the instinct and impulse that if she continued to merge these two powers, she could naturally ascend to godhood.
The reason is simple.
If Charlotte's Divine Fire is kindled as a Bloodline Ancestor, then... how could she possibly ascend to godhood simply through the fusion of Blood Divine Power and Holy Power?
Or more accurately, how could she ascend to godhood using "Primordial Fog"?
In other words, if she had indeed followed that instinct at that time, if she had planned to seek more Holy Power and Blood Divine Power for fusion in the future, and if she ascended to mythology in this way...
At that time, would she still be the Blood True Ancestor?
Or more accurately, when the power of "Primordial Fog" overpowers the Blood Divine Power, would the ascended to mythology Charlotte still be "Charlotte"?
Charlotte almost immediately thought of the legends about the Sun God Helios.
The Elf Main God ultimately "fell" because he coveted Creation Power and was polluted by the "Evil of Creation," becoming a puppet of the will of "Primordial Evil."
So, if Charlotte fully accepted the "Primordial Fog," would she not walk a similar or even identical path?
Upon understanding this, Charlotte almost instantly broke out in a cold sweat.
But fortunately, she is much better and more composed than the once fanatically eager Helios.
"Until I have completely mastered the ability to control this 'Primordial Fog,' I cannot continue to merge the Blood Divine Power and Holy Power. Their fusion is not my divine path, at least not my path to becoming a True God."
"I am the bloodline pioneer of this era. To ascend to godhood as a True Ancestor, I must perfect the Blood Holy Scripture, and this can only be done in the future, as the Bloodline Paths are not yet perfect in this era."
"My bloodline power has almost reached the mythical limit, and what is missing is only the Bloodline Laws occupied by the six Bloodline Paths."
"It seems that it is indeed time for me to return to the future."
Charlotte thought to herself.
After figuring everything out, Charlotte suddenly felt enlightened.
Though curious about what state "Lilith" would exist in after leaving this era, considering the path she is on is designed by "Lilith," Charlotte trusts that there must be arrangements in place.
So, she only needs to do what she can.
"Your gaze seems more determined. It seems... you now have your own direction."
"Your Majesty Lilith, it's an honor to fight alongside you. We... shall meet again."
With a slight smile, the Moon God Artemis transformed into silver moonlight and disappeared into the night sky.
Charlotte paused, looking in the direction the Moon God had departed, and slightly bowed, murmuring:
"We... shall meet again."
"Eternal Night, it's over. I should go too. Hehe, next time you visit Moon God Island, don't forget to take me along."
With Artemis leaving, Oshen also had the intention to leave, but clearly, this guy's purposes were not so simple.
Charlotte glanced at Him and said with a smile:
"What, are you planning to follow?"
"Ahem... ahem, no, I just suddenly remembered I had something to take care of..."
Oshen's gaze wandered.
"Oh, there's one more thing."
Oshen cleared his throat, hurriedly changing the topic:
"This is something Artemis and I found at the Sun Divine Palace, probably materials used by the priests for sacrifices. It's of no use to us, but it might be of some help to you."
As he spoke, a flash of light in His hand revealed a large black egg the size of a wheel in front of him.
"This is..."
Charlotte's heart skipped a beat.
"A dragon egg, presumably a Black Dragon egg. Although the giant dragons declined in the war with the Mireya Gods thousands of years ago, their prowess is certainly worthy of acknowledgment."
Oshen said.
A black dragon egg?
Charlotte couldn't help but look at the black oval object.
The Blood Holy Scripture deep in her consciousness trembled slightly, and Charlotte faintly felt a familiar rhythm from the dragon egg.
"Is this... the aura of Primordial Power?"
Charlotte's gaze slightly narrowed.
"Yes, this dragon egg probably participated as a material in those sun believers' rituals, thus taking on a hint of primordial aura. I think... it might hatch an interesting little fellow."
Oshen said.
Saying this, he looked at Charlotte again:
"Although you've subdued those demigods, while you slumber, you might need other forces to help you suppress them."
"If it's an ordinary giant dragon, it might not work, but if it's one stained with primordial aura... that's a different matter."
To suppress the many Bloodline Princes with a black dragon?
Charlotte's expression was indescribable.
In the history she knew, there really was such a black dragon.
It was the mount and magic pet of the Blood True Ancestor, the Black Dragon—Odosia.
Thinking of this, Charlotte's gaze couldn't help but fall back on the dragon egg.
She stroked the complex black-gray patterns on the egg and couldn't resist asking:
"Oshen, do you think... when this egg hatches, will it be a male or a female dragon?"
Oshen seemed momentarily dumbfounded by Charlotte's unexpected question.
He paused, then examined the egg closely, touching the wriggling "beard" on his chin, and said:
"I don't know much about giant dragons, but I've heard that those with complex dragon patterns are usually males. I suppose... it should be a male dragon!"
"A male dragon, huh..."
Charlotte's expression was indescribable.
She withdrew her gaze and suddenly beamed brightly:
"Oshen, do you want to make a bet?"
"A bet?"
Oshen was stunned for a moment, then immediately perked up with interest:
"Bet on what?"
"Let's bet on the gender of the dragon egg. I guess... it's female. If you win, whenever I visit the Moon God, I'll take you with me, and if I win, you need to agree to do something for me."
"Really? What would you have me agree to?"
Oshen's eyes lit up.
"I haven't thought of it yet, but... it won't be something too difficult for you."
Charlotte said.
"Great! I'm in!"
Oshen agreed.
...
The bet about the dragon egg was just a small interlude.
After Charlotte took the dragon egg, Oshen soon left as well.
Thus, the war between the Free City State Alliance and the Old Gods Alliance officially ended with the fall of the Sun Divine Palace.
When the news of their victory reached the capital of the Alliance, the City of Freedom, the entire Alliance's cities of all sizes erupted with excitement.
People cheered, people rejoiced, people sang praises.
The entire City State Alliance was engulfed in a festive celebration.
It was indeed a reason to celebrate.
Since the Free City State Alliance's independence from the Elves' Tower Country, the Old Gods of the Northern Border, who eyed the new alliance, had been the Alliance's primary hidden threat.
And now, that threat was finally eliminated.
Though this didn't mean the total annihilation of all the Old Gods in the Northern Land, at least... those who harbored the greatest hostility and coveted the Alliance the most—those "Pseudo Gods"—had paid their due price.
People cheered for the victory of war, and sang the praises of the Blood Favored, and when Charlotte returned with the third generation Bloodlines and the demigods who submitted to her, the celebratory frenzy reached its peak.
Tens of thousands of residents almost blocked the city streets completely, streamers danced in the air, flowers carpeted the ground.
"Long live the Free City State! Long live the Blood True Ancestor!"
"Praise the great Savior! Praise the great Eternal Night King!"
Amidst the people's fervent cheers and worshipful gaze, Charlotte rode her warhorse, flanked by third generation Bloodlines standing tall and proud, and cautiously guarded by the "newborn" Princes, as she traversed the streets of the City of Freedom and returned to the True Ancestor's Tower.
"Long live the Free City State Alliance, long live the great Blood Oath!"
"We, the Descendants of Blood... salute the great Blood Ancestor and Savior, the great Master of Darkness, symbol of Darkness and Blood Moon, the supreme Eternal Night King..."
In the Tower, numerous Bloodlines knelt on one knee, fervently worshipping the young girl seated high on the throne.
