Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 84: Lord Charlotte Are You Really the Saintess!?

Holy Power.

Charlotte felt an unprecedented Holy Power.

The dense Holy Power was like a vast ocean, enveloping the entire Holy Palace.

Such overwhelming Holy Power, even if a Legendary Bloodline arrived, it would likely be incinerated into ashes by the Holy Light the moment it entered the Holy Palace.

However, what Charlotte felt was a peculiarly complex emotion; the threat she sensed did not come from the vast Holy Power.

On the contrary, she not only sensed no threat from the immense Holy Power, instead she felt a touch of closeness and an inexplicable summons.

But Charlotte did not relax her vigilance.

Because she did indeed feel a threat.

It was a mythical spiritual sense; she felt the tremor of her Divine Fire, sensed the warning of her Divine Soul, and that tremor and warning grew stronger as she gradually approached the Holy Palace.

Obviously, the source of the threat lay deep within the Holy Palace shrouded by the vast Holy Power.

Charlotte did not know what it was.

Perhaps it was the "Sword of Truth Judgment" mentioned in the information, a Church Suppressing Divine Artifact of the Holy Royal Court capable of Godslayer, or perhaps it was other Divine Artifacts unknown to Charlotte, or even mythical-level prohibitions and barriers crafted by the Holy Court to combat deities.

Of course, perhaps... it was some means of "Helios."

"Saintess, we have arrived."

The respectful words of Cardinal Priest interrupted Charlotte's thoughts.

The carriage had stopped, the door opened, and Sebastian, who had stood alert, turned away from the priest, gazing at Charlotte with a hint of unease and concern.

Nisi likewise, became much more reserved than usual upon arrival at the Holy Palace, and its occasional glances towards the palace carried rare solemnity.

Clearly, the magnificent Holy Power enveloping the palace was distinctly sensed even by Charlotte's two followers.

Simultaneously, Charlotte felt gazes landing on her.

There were escorting Holy Hall Knights and Judgement Knights, as well as guiding priests and clergy, and even the hidden legends among the Church Knights all focused their eyes on Charlotte.

Charlotte also noticed that at some point the standing positions of Judgement Knights had changed; although still in escort positions, they also cut off the rear exit of the procession.

At this moment, Charlotte understood that the second trial after entering the Holy Capital had begun.

This wasn't a difficult thought to fathom.

The Holy Power shrouding the Holy Palace was so strong, that even if Albrecht followed over, he would likely be forced to reveal his true form and flee hastily.

To priests and ordinary people, Holy Power is God's gift, a gentle and sacred healing energy, but to those certified as "Cultists" by the Holy Royal Court, it is a tyrannical, terrifying sign of impending doom.

Clearly, the Holy Power enveloping the Holy Palace was the Holy Royal Court's second trial.

"Saintess, the Holy Palace is here, external carriages may not enter, please move into the Holy Palace along with the knights."

Cardinal Priest Filiberto repeated.

Silent.

Charlotte noticed that half a minute after she did not immediately respond, the surrounding atmosphere became subtly intense, and those "escorting" Judgement Knights could no longer resist holding the hilt of their swords.

Even the knights from the Falling Star faction noticed something amiss, they almost unanimously stepped forward, surrounding Charlotte's carriage in the center.

Charlotte glanced at Sebastian.

Sebastian immediately understood, turned towards the many knights, and frowned:

"Withdraw."

The knights hesitated.

They glanced at the Queen who did not stop them, paused for a few seconds, then retreated, while Charlotte slowly stood up, stepping off the carriage with Sebastian's gentle support.

She cheerfully gazed at the solemn Cardinal Priest:

"Lord Filiberto, the Church Authority Country's way of welcoming... is quite special."

Filiberto's expression was somewhat unnatural.

He lightly coughed, smiled warmly:

"It's all for the Saintess's safety, you know, it's the time of transition ceremonies for the Chief, a special period, the Church has too many enemies in the shadows, and you being a distinguished guest from afar, we must ensure your safety."

Charlotte neither agreed nor disagreed.

She did not expose the Holy Royal Court's intent, but instead took the lead towards the Holy Palace.

Cardinal Priest Filiberto signaled to the clergy and knights, and many clergy and knights followed, "protecting" the young lady on all sides.

Charlotte pretended not to see them.

Her gaze fell on the Holy Palace, surveying from top to bottom, finally resting on the grand Main God Statue before the Holy Palace.

This was a sculpture far more lifelike than the Main God Statues worshiped by local churches.

And when Charlotte looked at the sculpture's facial features, she momentarily felt a sense of wonder.

Though blurred in many ways, the high cheekbones and chiselled face bore a striking resemblance to Haral in her memory.

The only difference was that the statue of the Divine Lord had a thick beard, while her impression of Haral had only a slight stubble.

This was a middle-aged version of Haral.

And as Charlotte moved toward the Holy Palace, nearing the sculpture, the sense of tremor and impending threat in the depths of her consciousness intensified.

However, in Charlotte's perception, not only did tremors and danger increase, but closeness and summons did too.

An intriguing sensation arose within Charlotte.

Involuntarily, she stopped before the sculpture, gazing into its eyes.

The mystical sensing grew increasingly intense. In the depths of Charlotte's consciousness, the Blood Holy Scripture gradually emitted a faint glow, while the ring cross symbol floating above it flickered with a golden radiance.

Murmured prayers began to sound by Charlotte's ear, becoming more frequent and secretive.

These were the prayers of believers to the Divine Lord.

The ambiguous prayers grew stronger as the ring cross symbol in Charlotte's consciousness brightened.

At this moment, Charlotte finally realized what that hidden calling was.

It was the call of the faith network of the Holy Royal Court!

Charlotte hesitated briefly, then reached out to touch the Divine Lord's statue.

As she touched it, the ring cross symbol in her consciousness instantly erupted with dazzling golden light!

Charlotte felt her awareness suddenly elevate, her perception infinitely expanding.

Golden light filled her "vision," and at the end of this "vision," she again saw the throne and scepter in the "Creation Divine Country," and the holy door behind the scepter.

She "saw" the sacred golden gate slowly open, revealing something behind the gate, shrouded in radiant glory, embodying the myriad of faith.

It was a golden ring cross engraved with roses and thorns.

Although it differed from the description in the Holy Scripture of the Holy Royal Court, when Charlotte "saw" it, she instantly knew its name.

The Supreme Divine Artifact of the Holy Royal Court, the core within the core that connects to the faith network of the Creator God—

Creation Law Enforcement Cardinal.

...

"Lord Filiberto, is she... delaying her entry into the Holy Palace?"

Seeing Charlotte suddenly standing still before the Divine Lord statue, a Chief Priest couldn't help but lean over to Cardinal Priest Filiberto and ask.

The eyes of other priests and knights also unconsciously focused on the girl.

Filiberto furrowed his brows slightly.

He had no choice; the girl's state was indeed somewhat unusual.

She should have immediately entered the Holy Palace, yet she suddenly stood still before the Divine Lord statue, and not only that… she even closed her eyes.

Time… it's been two minutes now.

If it were a regular believer, closing their eyes in prayer before the Royal Court's most majestic and sacred Divine Statue, Filiberto would fully understand.

But he knew very well, the girl before him was no ordinary believer.

She was the focal point of suspicion within the Royal Court, the focal point of attention for the upper echelons of the Cardinal Priest Team.

Whether it be the various messages from the Falling Star Kingdom or the intelligence layered up by the Church, all evidence pointed to Charlotte de Castel being highly problematic!

She was suspected of impersonating the Saintess and deceiving everyone, and she was highly likely to have been collaborating with the Evil God, or even completely being the "heresy," the favored of the Evil God, or his incarnation on earth!

This… was the consensus among the Chief Priests, priests, and numerous Church Knights who came to "greet" the Falling Star Queen.

So… was this an attempt to delay time, or trying to pull a trick before entering the Holy Palace for "examination"?

Filiberto's eyes flashed.

After a brief hesitation, he prepared to speak again, but before he could do so, a change occurred.

Golden photons appeared all around, unknowingly at first, drifting like dancing snowflakes and flying elves.

Dreamlike and illusive light dragged golden trails as they elegantly danced, rising from the Holy Palace, pouring in from all directions.

Colorful radiance spread far and wide, and wherever the radiance touched, flora grew, life renewed; even the involved priests and knights felt their bodies as if deeply purified from within, filled with strength.

Everything… renewed thoroughly.

Feeling the magnificent holy power, the priests widened their eyes:

"Such… such a powerful holy energy! Such powerful purifying power!"

"Radiant Track… this… is this the holy light manifestation recorded in the Holy Scripture?!"

"By the Divine Lord! This is the Lord's power! The Lord's gaze has descended upon us!"

"Praise the holy! Praise the Royal Court! Praise the great Creator God!"

"..."

The priests showed signs of excitement, drawn by the flying photons.

But soon, their excitement transformed into complexity and bewilderment.

The brilliant radiance incessantly spread, and the flying photons increased in number.

They saw those flying photons continuously swirling, constantly dancing, eventually… converging around Charlotte, landing upon her.

Holy light descended, causing the entire statue to emit dazzling golden brilliance.

The radiance spread, enveloping the girl before the statue, bestowing upon her a layer of splendid holy light.

Her golden hair soared, the holy light spread, and at this moment, Charlotte seemed like a goddess fallen to earth, emitting an unprecedented holy brilliance.

Witnessing this scene, all the priests fell into silence.

Their eyes landed on the girl, filled with astonishment, complexity, bewilderment, and fervor.

Hidden behind Sebastian, Nisi's eyes were wide open:

"Oh my god! Radiant Track! She's been directly designated by the Divine Lord!"

"Truly… no, Lord Charlotte, you… you are actually the Saintess of the Holy Royal Court?!"
