Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 825 The First Battle at the Outpost

Mentioning the forbidden land made the lead knight and those behind him display an obviously unnatural expression. However, the allure of their interests eventually overcame the rationality of their minds. The lead knight looked at Wang Zhong with a cold sneer, "Old man, no matter how important you once were, even if you're a deity flying through the skies, right now, in this land of sin, you are but a mere mortal! Here, no cultivation is possible, everyone here is a sealed commoner! So, about this forbidden land or whatever, stop talking about it; we're not keen on coming here to provoke you either. Just one thing, hand over that pile of goldfish scales and also the rainbow scales!"

Chu Mo looked at the lead knight and kindly reminded him, "That's two things."

"Shut up!" the lead knight snarled, and then with a frosty gaze, he looked at Chu Mo, "Kid, hand over the knife you have!"

"That's the third thing," Chu Mo said to the lead knight with a smile, "Which exactly are you trying to do?"

Narrowing his eyes, the lead knight sized up Chu Mo and then grinned, "I want them all! I even want your life! Does that count as the fourth thing, hmm?" With that, he commanded with a wave of his hand, "Kill him!"

A knight, wielding a long spear, charged directly towards Chu Mo.

The distance between them was merely over twenty meters, so almost in the blink of an eye, the knight had already charged up to Chu Mo. With a flick of the heavy spear in his hand, its sharp tip aimed straight for Chu Mo's head.

The knight's face twisted into a ferocious grin as he bellowed, "Die, kid!"

Wang Zhong slightly raised his eyebrows, a look of disdain appearing in his eyes. If a person blessed by qi movement could be killed by a spear thrust from them... that would truly mean Heaven and Earth were blind.

At that moment, the restrained girl on the back of a horse couldn't help but let out an exclamation, but the words she shouted nearly infuriated Chu Mo to death.

"Kill him, he just tried to lay hands on me!"

The knight atop the horse slapped the girl's backside harshly and sneered, "You're mine! Whoever dares to covet you, I'll kill!"

"Then kill him!" the girl shouted loudly, her gaze at Chu Mo mysteriously filled with intense hatred.

At that moment, Chu Mo couldn't afford to look at the girl, for the spear tip of the enemy had already pierced towards him.

Hum!

A heavy whoosh echoed through the void.

Chu Mo stepped lightly with Illusory Shadow Gale Steps and swiftly dodged. Then, with Heaven Slaying in hand, he traced along the shaft of the heavy spear towards the knight's palm.

His speed was not considered fast, at least compared to the past, it was like the difference between Heaven and Earth.

But the enemies before him were not cultivators from the Cultivation Realm!

So, by the time Chu Mo used Heaven Slaying to chop off a palm of the knight, the opponent had yet to react!

Clang!

The heavy iron spear fell onto the stony ground, emitting a massive thud.

Immediately after, the knight's wrist gushed blood profusely, emitting a scream that shook heaven and earth.

"My hand!"

His hand was now trapped under the iron spear that lay on the stones. The wrist was empty!

After slicing off the opponent's hand with Heaven Slaying, Chu Mo didn't continue to attack, but rather, his figure flashed away swiftly!

Whoosh!

Thud!

The sound of something slicing through the air followed.

Then, an arrow quivered, stuck in the spot where Chu Mo had just been standing.

Chu Mo looked up and saw the girl's eyes filled with shock. In her hands, she held a bow, with the bowstring still trembling.

Clearly, this girl was not an enemy of these knights; they were in cahoots!

The girl was quite dissatisfied that her arrow had failed to hit Chu Mo, and with a stern face, she pulled out another arrow, aiming it at Chu Mo.

Chu Mo looked at the girl and said coldly, "If you dare shoot another arrow at me, I'll tear you apart into eight pieces!"

A seemingly ordinary threat, yet for some reason, the girl felt her heart tremble, and she even dared not meet Chu Mo's gaze.

The knight behind the girl raged, "Are you threatening my woman?"

Chu Mo stared coldly at the knight, "Leave now or you'll all die here. Get lost before we develop a deep-seated hatred, or I'll be forced to kill you!"

"Hahahaha..." The knight suddenly burst into laughter, "I love people like you the most. Honestly, killing those sheep doesn't give me any thrill at all! I like your kind of tough guys. Then, when you kneel in front of me, letting me do whatever I want. Kid... even if your whole body were made of iron, how many nails could you possibly make from it?"

The leading knight commanded with a forceful wave of his hand, "All together, kill this brat for me!"

Wang Zhong glanced at Chu Mo, "Need help?"

Chu Mo shook his head, "This little matter, really doesn't require senior's help. Just watch."

Seven or eight knights pressed toward Chu Mo together. To the leading knight, that many were more than enough to chop the arrogant young man into mincemeat.

The weapons in their hands varied; some had sabers, large swords, long spears, and even Crescent Blades... Two of them were even wearing chain mail, looking incredibly formidable.

Their eyes on Chu Mo were filled with mockery, like a cat looking at a mouse.

The look in Chu Mo's eyes, however, was filled with icy coldness, like looking at dead people!

"Kill!"

A knight wearing chain mail and wielding a Crescent Blade roared as he slashed at Chu Mo.

Whoosh!

A heavy piercing sound came from the void.

This slash was powerful and weighty; if it was not dodged, it would cut someone straight in half!

These battle-hardened men launched an attack in the instant the knight struck. Two other knights also made their move, effectively sealing off all of Chu Mo's escape routes!

The remaining five knights spread out, surrounding Chu Mo in the center. This was the second layer of their net, in case Chu Mo evaded the first, as insurance!

In their view, Chu Mo had no way out!

But the problem was, Chu Mo never had any intention of retreating from the start!

After watching Wang Zhong fish, Chu Mo had a sudden insight into cultivation. After the insight, he could clearly feel a surge of strength in his body. After obtaining the seven-colored fish scales, that feeling grew even stronger.

Although he still couldn't utilize the energy within his body, his strength was many times greater than when he first entered!

So, facing the knight with the Crescent Blade, Chu Mo charged head-on.

Raising the Heaven Slaying in his hand, he fiercely struck toward the swinging... impossibly heavy Crescent Blade!

"Hahaha!" The onlooking knights let out a burst of mocking laughter.

To them, this man was simply insane!

Was he actually using his blade to catch a Crescent Blade that had been swung forcefully, already gaining momentum?

They seemed to have already seen the scene of this man being split in two. It was just a pity for that good blade... probably it would be split in two by the Crescent Blade as well?

Clang!

A loud noise.
