"Chief, where did you go?"
When I came back from being summoned by the altar, I was surprised to find that all of the villagers had been searching for me.
"I already told you that I was heading out for a bit, why are you in such a rush?"
"Well, we couldn't feel your mana anymore, so we couldn't help feeling worried."
Hearing them say this made my non-existent eye twitch, though all that happened was that the flame that represented my eyes shook a bit.
Sometimes, the things that they said really made them seem like a bit of yandere…
I think that their love for necromancy was transferred to me to a certain extent since I was a lich.
I especially didn't like the way that they looked at me from time to time.
Taking a deep breath, I said, "I said that I was out for a walk, so why are you acting like this? Anyway, that doesn't matter now, I need you all to help me with something so gather everyone in the center of the village."
The eyes of the villagers lit up when they heard this and it seemed like they wanted to ask questions about what I was planning to have them do.
But the excitement in their eyes showed that they all knew that this was something related to necromancy. If I was calling them to help with something, it could only be something that was related to necromancy.
Before they could ask anything though, I suddenly said, "Go and gather everyone already."
With that, the villagers went to bring everyone over.
When they arrived, their eyes didn't even turn to look at me.
The only thing that they saw were the large bones that I had taken out and placed on the ground. Just a single glance was enough for them to tell what these bones were.
Especially that specific looking skull.
There was no way of mistaking this skull for anything else.
But the moment that they recognized this, it was only natural that they would have questions about this. After all, it wasn't as if this skeleton was something that could be obtained that easily.
"Don't worry about where I got it. Just know that I got it when I went out for a stroll."
The villagers had their doubts when they heard this, but eventually they let them go.
After all, the most important thing now was being involved in the ritual that would bring this skeleton back to life.
So Tucker led everyone to ask, "What do you need us to do?"
It wasn't just his eyes alone that were filled with excitement, it was also the rest of the villagers that looked like they were filled with excitement. Even the kids that had been brought back as new necromancers looked the same.
Through the teachings of the villagers, they had picked up their eccentric love for necromancy.
That was why all of these kids acted this way.
After everyone had gathered, I said to them, "I'm going to use this array to bring this skeleton back as a skeletal dragon, but I don't have enough mana to do this on my own. That is why I want to borrow everyone's mana to create this skeletal dragon."
The eyes of the villagers filled with even more excitement when they heard this, but Tucker had something to ask, "How do we do that? Is it even possible to share mana when it comes to creating an undead?"
The villagers seemed to calm down a bit when they heard this since this was indeed something that they all knew was the truth.
"It's very simple, it's because of the array that I've set up."
The villagers didn't waste any time looking at the array that I had prepared, but there were confused looks that appeared on most of their faces.
It was only Tucker who didn't seem as confused as he eventually said, "I see how it works. It uses those mana stones in the separate arrays to gather our mana and then it channels it into the main array, allowing you to use it for the spell."
I gave a nod to confirm this before saying, "Good job, it seems like you've picked up quite a bit from the lessons."
A wide smile appeared on Tucker's face before he said to the others, "Come on, let's get into position."
The villagers didn't care that they didn't understand this, they just quickly followed Tucker to where he wanted them to go. Soon, all of the villagers were surrounding one of the arrays formed around the mana stones.
Without any hesitation, they started putting all of the mana that they had into the stones.
It didn't seem like they cared that they would fall down exhausted after using all of their mana like this. The only thing that they seemed to care about was seeing how this array would turn out.
Once they filled up the mana stones, I gathered all of the mana that they provided into the main array before casting the spell.
This was a spell that I had carefully designed, so I knew that there wouldn't be a problem. After all, this was a spell that was designed for a pure blooded dragon, so there was no need to worry about an impure blood dragon.
It didn't take long before the bones started to stir.
After stirring, the bones came together and soon formed a skeletal dragon.
This skeletal dragon didn't move at first as it just remained there like some kind of statue.
The villagers thought that this meant that this spell was a failure, but I didn't think so.
After a while, the skeletal dragon moved its head to look at me.
The moment that it saw me, it suddenly changed.
The skeletal dragon suddenly started acting like a dog with how it came down to nuzzle its face against mine.
The villagers had been shocked at first, but then they broke out in cheers when they saw that the spell had succeeded.
I couldn't help revealing a faint smile when I heard this.
I had to admit that it was good having them.
If it wasn't for these villagers, I certainly would have struggled getting the mana to cast this spell.
If it wasn't for these villagers, then it wouldn't have been as easy for me to raise this undead dragon.
