What they were supposed to do was draw enough attention that the Metal Lizards would turn their backs to me.

I was the strongest one, so I was one of the few that could hurt the Metal Lizards.

But things didn't go the way that I wanted them to go.

Instead of being on guard, it was as if there was something that caused the Metal Lizards to go berserk. They had been looking at me while I was running forward, but then they all started running after me.

They didn't even seem to care about the one Metal Lizard that was injured, though that one Metal Lizard also started chasing me even though it was a bit slow because of its injuries.

"Why are they all chasing me like this?" I couldn't understand what was happening, but I knew that this situation wasn't good. So I gave a signal to the others and they released their attacks at the Metal Lizards to deter them.

However, none of the Metal Lizards stopped following me to get out of the way.

They continued chasing right after me.

It was as if they wouldn't stop following me no matter what happened.

Even if they were to be injured in the process.
