Legendary Necromancer: My First Summon is the Undead Dragon

Chapter 59: Killing the snake

John ran down into the body of the snake and stabbed with all his strength. His sword penetrated and went very deep. Then he used the same method that he used before—he channeled his mana and increased the flame, burning the inside.

But he got too carried away and didn't see the tail coming for him.

"John, watch out!" Jake yelled, but by the time he looked up, it was already too late. The tip of the tail stabbed right through his chest.

Same like before, time rewound to just a few moments before he was stabbed, and this time he rolled and dodged the tail before pulling out his sword.

He tried to run away, but he suddenly collapsed to his knee on the snake and vomited a mouthful of blood. "Shit, I overused it. I can't even move anymore," John said, coughing out more blood.

Jake saw that John wasn't moving anymore, so he ran toward him. He pushed himself to move fast before the snake would kill John, but he wasn't fast enough—the snake used its tail to slam John off its body.

Jake immediately changed direction and caught John, tumbling backward, but he managed to keep John safe.

"Now look at you, all battered," Jake said.

"Kid, I hate you," John said, before coughing out blood again.

The snake locked on them again and began rushing toward them. By now, all its wounds had healed up, and it could move.

Jake could already tell that Crypt was coming, but Crypt was not going to make it in time. "I have to hold it back, even for one second," Jake said, and immediately used Infused Perspective.

Immediately, he felt his mind connect with the snake, but he met a wall larger and stronger than the one that man had in the guild.

But he had no choice now—it was do or die. He forced his way through the wall, brute-forcing it, and finally, he made it through.

"You don't want to attack me." He forced the idea into the head of the snake, and the snake stopped.

Jake vomited huge amounts of blood, almost collapsing there. His head felt like it was getting smashed by a hammer.

But he had successfully stopped the snake for just a few seconds—enough time for Crypt to get there, arriving from above.

"Raging Tornado!" Crypt roared. There was no spear in his hand as his spear had fallen far away, but that spear was connected to him. He stretched out his hands, and the spear manifested in his hands.

The spinning wind turned into a tornado, and he stabbed right at the intersection between the two heads—where the two heads connected with the body.

Boom

The spear ripped through the body of the snake, sending blood flying all around. The snake hissed in pain. It immediately started thrashing around. It slammed Crypt with its tail—he was sent flying, but this time he flipped in the air and landed on the ground.

The snake immediately started healing. It no longer focused on Jake and John but rather turned its attention to Crypt.

"Jake, Crypt can't take any more of this. He is weak and pushing himself. His own mana is almost depleted as well," Drive told Jake.

"I can't use you here, Drake. I don't want John seeing you," Jake said. He put all his hope in the fact that Crypt would pull through this.

The snake finished healing and charged at Crypt. Crypt got into a stance, ready for the snake to get within a good range, and when it did, he used Raging Tornado again. But this time, the snake had learned. It sacrificed its tail to block the attack—the tail was blasted off.

The snake kept pushing and attacked. Its head slammed into Crypt and sent him through a wall. He tossed and rolled before coming to a stop and standing up to his feet, but immediately, the snake attacked again.

Attack after attack, the snake kept bullying Crypt. He was nearing the end, and Jake could see that. Crypt was strong, but this was beyond him.

"Argh, fuck it. Drake, take this snake down," Jake said, and a massive summoning circle formed. From it, Drake came out.

John was shocked when he saw the massive undead dragon. His eyes were literally wide open.

The snake also felt the presence of the dragon, and it turned to face Drake.

Hisssssssss

The snake hissed at Drake.

"Roarrrrrrrrrrrr!" Drake roared and leaped into the air, flying toward the snake. He immediately started with a blast of flames.

And for the first time since they started fighting the snake, it used something other than physical attacks. It shot out a purple mist from its mouth, and it collided with the flames, fighting against them. But it didn't last long as the flames overpowered the mist, and the flames hit the snake.

Hisssssssss

It cried in pain as the flames burned through its skin. After the first collision, the snake could tell it was nothing to the dragon. The snake started running away, trying to get away as fast as possible.

But Drake wasn't going to let it. He flew down and grabbed the snake by its center and flew into the air.

The snake tried its best to battle against Drake in the air, but Drake wasn't having any of it. He didn't let go of the snake, but instead followed with a powerful blast of flames directly on one of its heads.

The snake hissed in pain, struggling, but the flames burned too hot. The first head was burned off, and the second head was burned off.

Drake let go of the snake's body. It fell through the air. Jake watched it as it fell—the snake that they couldn't even harm, yet Drake killed it without as much as a fight.

Its body hit the ground—Boom—it lay there coiled on the ground. It twitched a bit and finally stopped moving.
