As soon as the raid started, the different divisions and their members all rushed out at the same time. This was a competition after all. There was no limit to the number of Secret Order members you could kill. The members of division yellow squadron all rushed out in different directions but ultimately towards the same destination.
Grey and the Captain split up but before she went too far, Grey saw a mad glint in her eyes even though every where was dark. He chuckled inwardly before spreading out his perception.
A dagger had already appeared in his hand unknowingly. Grey heard the sound of whooshing wind and when he looked up, he saw a slender figure rush past overhead.
The figure's body was both ethereal and corporeal at the same time. Her clothes fluttered lightly in the wind. Grey could not see her face, but he suddenly felt a strong calmly sensation. His heart beat seemed to slow down and his brain activity almost froze. Before he could completely freeze up, he slapped himself to wake up from that state.
He looked at the slender figure overhead with wariness and fear. She did not even glance back at Grey, he focuses was on a figure who was running away frantically. He leapt from rooftop to rooftop while sometimes he flew like a rocket. It was clear that he was a Foundation Establishment realm cultivator.
'That slender person must be the Director, she has such an effect on me even though her attention was elsewhere. She truly is a powerhouse! And that cultivator that she is chasing must be a Foundation Establishment cultivator from the Secret Order.' Grey deduced almost immediately.
Without hesitation, he turned in another direction from the director. Just her presence alone was enough to make him freeze up. Aside from the occasional chill he felt sometimes, he also felt extreme caution and fear towards the director.
Although she was scary, her presence meant that any unforeseen events could be managed. She would let the Qi accumulation realm cultivators capture and kill the low level Secret Order members while she would tackle those in the Foundation Establishment realm.
Very soon cries and screams rang out in the warehouse owned by the Secret Order. Many cultivators both nonhuman and human were scampering around but being slaughtered by the heartless members of the Detective agency department.
Grey felt a chill breeze passed by his head. He leaped backwards but threw out his dagger. The chest of a nonhuman cultivator was pierced. He still had a look of surprise on his face when Grey punched out with his full strength.
The chest of the nonhuman cultivator caved in and he sputtered out blood like a fountain before he died. Calmly, Grey beheaded him and took his storage bag before throwing them into his own storage bag.
He had no personal vendetta against the Secret Order, but he could feel the resentment and hate that the members of the Detective agency had towards them. It was like they were grieving the fall of one of their own and wanted revenge to be paid in blood.
Looking the red eyed Detective agency members, Grey decided to greive with them. As their superior, how couldn't he vent the desires of the Detective agency with them.
So Grey allowed sorrow to trickle into his heart and he started killing. Although Grey was not using his full speed, he was still very fast. Many cultivators he passed would have their chests caved in or beheaded. Their heads and storage bags would always find a way into his own storage bag.
What? In the end he was still here for the profit!
In a matter of minutes, the whole warehouse had been empty by the Detective agency. Blood stained the floor and walls. Rain even started falling a few minutes later, wetting every one but they each had solemn expressions on their faces.
Grey was standing on top of a building and looking down with indifference. The Captain was sitting at the edge of the building, her entire person was covered in blood but non of it was hers. She also had a somber expression on her face.
When morning came and the rain let up, the entire district was dyed crimson. Many people were afraid for their lives and didn't come out. The Detective agency had struck fear into the hearts of all in sequence three that night.
Grey was walked into the Detective agency with blood soaked hands and clothes. He brought out several heads of members of the Secret Order which amounted to seven. With ten spirit stones per head, he came out with seventy spirit stones. He had not even had the chance to check the storage bags he had gotten from their corpses. But now he could say he was very wealthy.
He planned on finally docking his magic ship on the port. Yesterday night as he was killing the Secret Order members, he felt that he could have killed more if he had his poison. Although he did sprinkle some sometimes, it barely did any damage. That relinquished his urge to refine more poison. He also wanted to experiment on the green fog that he obtained from that inhuman race.
He felt that if he added it to his poison, it's lethality would soar.
After washing the blood out of his hair and dressed into new clothes, he sat down and began to review the spirit stones he had gotten from the nonhuman races.
Added all together, the seven inhuman races brought to him ninety one spirit stones. He also obtained some other sellable items that amounted to twenty six spirit stones. Adding it altogether with his previous balance, he had a total of three hundred and fifty spirit stones. Just two days ago, he barely had five spirit stones now he had over three hundred.
He could only owe it on to the night raid he participated yesterday. Suddenly he wished there was more events like that so that he could make more money but he quickly banished that thought from his head.
Wishing for unfortunate events could lead him down the wrong path where he would craving murder and bloodshed. Although he needs money, he shouldn't be that greedy about it to the point of hoping of war. Although some made people might actually want for that. He thought of the Captain and the mad glint in her eyes and couldn't help but shudder repeatedly.
After gathering his belongings, he went to a medicinal shop to buy some poisonous herbs. Recaling the general formula for his previous batch of poison, he bought similar things and even some more materials that had more poisonous lethality in them.
He spent over one hundred spirit stones buying the materials necessary for producing poison and medicinal pills. After that, he paid a monthly subscription of thirty spirit stones per month to dock his magic ship.
He did some hand seal according to the Captain's description and the Magic ship flew out from the bottle and enlarged into a huge and long magic ship. A tyrannical aura was emitted from it at that moment, Grey could even feel a slight divinity.
He opened his mouth in shock! The Captain had upgraded the Magic ship. Before it was not as tyrannical and domineering as it was now. His only guess was that the Captain upgraded it before he gave it to him. A grateful look appeared in his eyes before he slowly walked into the magic ship.
Aboard the magic ship, Grey felt a sense of security and comfort. The magic ship was big enough and several rooms that included a forging room, a pharmacy and bedrooms. The Captain's quarters was obviously the biggest but Grey did not stay there. The Captain had only borrowed him the Magic ship and did not actually give him, he felt that sleeping in his room would be a lack of respect.
So he entered a room close to the Captain's room and far from the pharmacy room. He remembered what happened the last time that he refined poison. So he wanted the pill refinement to stay refined alone in the pharmacy room.
After muttering some incantations, a light blue barrier enveloped the entire ship. Grey went to the steering wheel and placed a single spirit stone as the power source for the barrier. The ship was on standby so the energy consumption was not high.
Seeing that everything was ready, he took off his Detective hat and entered into the pharmacy to refine. He entered the pharmacy late afternoon but came out the next morning. A pensive expression was on his face as that moment. A single pill was in his hand. The pill was pitch black in color and Grey's hand even started to turn greenish black in that moment, but his shadow swallowed the corrosive substance that entered his body with haste.
'So poison dead spider has such an effect on poison pill. I better buy some more!' He said inwardly and walked out of the magic ship. It turned into a flash of light that shrank down and entered a small glass bottle. He took a look left and right before walking away.
His expression was indifferent as he checked his back several times but didn't see anyone behind him. He suddenly entered a corner and was followed by a swift Shadow. A moment later, a sharp cry rang out and Grey appeared as if nothing had happened, only blood at the hem of his cloths betrayed what happened.
Although you could not directly kill anyone or else you would be penalized by Sky Mist city, Grey had been careful in making sure no one saw him. The Shadow belonging to that cultivator also came to the conclusion that he was alone before going to attack Grey. Who could have known that he would die shortly.
