Void Cultivation

Chapter 76- Mystery (5)

With a quiet sigh, he pushed the door way again with one last attempt in mind. Then, the sound of shattering glass echoed in his mind. He felt as if his mind was breaking. A large and boundless spirit sea could be seen in his mind at this moment. Grey felt the spirit energy flow into his newly formed spirit sea and nourish his mind.

His spirit sea gained dark clouds and a purple moon arose from the dark clouds. The color of the moonlight coming from the purple moon dyed his spirit sea purple.

"Purple... It's purple?"

Grey felt as his perception had reached a new level as well. The Dragon eyes he comprehended a few days back could now be used with even more lethality.

Out on the Magic ship, the ship swayed lightly in the wind. A sharp gale arose as dark clouds the sky. As if peeeking out from the dark sky, the faint illusion of a purple moon appeared and colored the black water and the entire ship purple.

Everyone on the harbor suddenly looked towards the port and the illusion of the purple moon in the sky.

In the Detective agency department, the Captain sitting down on a chair with her legs crossed over the table suddenly looked towards Grey direction and smiled faintly.

While somewhere deep within Sky Mist city, a woman with pure white air and emitting cold spirit energy fluctuations suddenly opened her eyes with were completely white. She looked up towards the sky and towards the port where Grey's Magic Ship rocked.

And out at sea, Caster who was standing on the deck of a huge Magic ship suddenly turned his head and looked back towards Sky Mist city. He saw a small purple glow in the distance. He smiled and turned back towards the black waters and sailed away much faster.

Almost everyone on the port was looking at the illusionary purple moon in the sky with amazement and fear. They then looked at the person who was the cause of all this.

Then, as Grey opened his eyes, a dense pressure suddenly fell on those who were below the seventh level of Qi accumulation. Even those in the seventh level of Qi accumulation felt a heavy suppression force on their cultivation base. They quickly circulated their cultivation base and the suppression vanished, but they looked towards Grey with obvious fear in their eyes.

Grey who was now in the seventh level of Qi accumulation, scanned the entire port with his perception. He noticed that the range of his perception had increased significantly. He could now scan the entire port all at once.

After a few seconds, a purple light flickered repeatedly in his eyes and the purple moon slowly dissipated like it was being blown away by the wind. The pressure on everyone suddenly let out and they breathe out sighs of relief. Grey scanned the port once more before standing up.

Outside on the pier, some cultivators above the eight level of Qi accumulation could be seen. They had looks of fawning as they slowly cupped their fists and bowed their heads slightly in respect. In Sky Mist city, cupping you head and bowing to someone with a similar cultivation base was a form of great respect.

"Congratulations Detective Grey!" They said at once, their heads still bowed down slightly. Grey only glanced at all of them before slowly nodding his head. After recalling something he had geard about modesty and humility, he suppressed his cultivation base to be like a normal seventh level cultivator. The small crowd that had gathered dispersed awkwardly.

Grey looked at the dispersing crowd one by one before he took his gaze away and kept the Magic Ship away. Some distance away, the group of cultivators suddenly coughed out mouthfuls of black blood.

Their expressions turned to one of horror as they quickly swallowed several pills. They gave the departing figure of Grey one last look before speding away in fear.

'How relentless!' One of the cultivators said inwardly as he sped away, not daring to look back.

After putting away his Magic ship, Grey made his way towards the shop that sold medicinal herbs. With his now bulging wallet, he could buy more lethal poisonous grass and materials.

Opening the door slightly, Grey slipped in through the cover of the night. His features covered by the Detective hat. After making such a ruckus at the port, he decided to head low for a while. After all, bringing too attention was not good sometimes. It could turn to unwanted attention!

"Ah, well hello young man! Come to buy materials again?" The old man who worked as the shopkeeper recognized him from before and said to Grey.

Grey nodded his head slightly and took out a list he had already long prepared. The old man took the list and read it carefully.

"We don't have these particular items, come back in the next couple days and we should have it." The old man pointed at some very rare poisonous grass as he spoke. In silence, Grey just nodded. He didn't really expect for him to have these type of items after all, they were just too rare. But he was surprised when the old man said they would be available in a couple of days.

"Wonderful night we're having. Did you see the purple moon that rose in the sky a short while ago? Ah, my heart suddenly felt heavy- what am I talking about, you're a cultivator right so you'll obviously have seen it." The old man made small talk as he brought out the items one by one. Grey only raised his eyebrows while nodding.

"I wonder who it was that was advancing that he made such an occurrence just from cultivating? He must be very powerful!" The old man said after he gathered all the items. Grey pushed them into his storage bag. He paid the money to the old man's account directly.

"Yeah... He must've been very powerful." Grey said lowly before he turned around and left the medicinal shop. His next destination was the Detective agency department. Although his cultivation base had increased and he had finally formed his spirit sea, he was not sure if he would survive a fight with a cultivator in the perfected level of Qi accumulation. But he felt that eight level and ninth level opponents could be completely suppressed by him.

With a small sigh, he put the Detective department badge on his chest and swiftly entered through the door. But was greeted by many detective agency members.

"Congratulations on your advancement Vice-captain Grey!" Everyone said with excitement in their eyes. How could they not be excited after all, they Vice-captain made such a scene that affected all Qi accumulation level cultivators.

Those below the fifth level all felt completely suppressed and resisted the urge to bow while those above the seventh level felt their powers suppressed to a certain extent. Even those capable of breaking through to Foundation establishment frowned and felt a little wary towards the mysterious purple moon that suddenly appeared over Grey's magic ship.

If before they felt like they were supreme in the whole of Qi accumulation, they felt a little threatened by Grey's aura alone. Many immediately came to take a look at who created such a spectacle but by the time they arrived, he was gone.

After obtaining information that he was the Vice captain of one of the teams in the Detective agency department, most of them decided to pay some attention to him.

It was as if Grey had a premonition about this and had left in advance. Not taking any time to dilly dally or make small talk. Although he quickly suppressed the purple moon, it's aura had still spread out.

Feeling awkward, Grey cupped his fists towards the entire detective agency department members. He bowed down his head slightly. When they all saw that, a hint of pride appeared on their faces. They now felt that this Vice-captain of theirs was a lot humble than their Captain.

After Grey left, everything continued as normal. Grey reached his office but stopped just as he was about to open the door. He imagined the figure of the captain sitting on his seat and prayed to God that she shouldn't be here. After a small prayer, he opened the door. Seeing his seat empty, he sighed in relief.

As he sat down comfortably on his chair, he began to ponder about the loud ravings he had heard after he completely fused the two purple crystals together. He felt that if he had listened any longer, he might have run mad. The way his cultivation base and his sanity was slowly unravelling was still fresh in his mind and instilled in him a fear that he had not felt in a very long time. He also remembered the purple lines that appeared on his body at some point, but he didn't feel any changes. Grey suspected those purple lines had something to do with the purple crystal!

'That was more scary that facing Bizarre existences or Foundation establishment cultivators! I don't even know how or where or even who was muttering so loudly. If felt ethereal and real at the same time.'

Of course the feeling of his cultivation slowly unravelling was too real to be faked. At the same time, his sanity being fragmented piece by piece was not a good experience either.

"When the ruckus from my advancement to the seventh level had calmed down, I'll try to peer deeper into what I heard! Until then, i should focus on other things... other things like getting used to my new strength." Grey said lowly. After some more thoughts, he laid back on his chair tiredly.

He had not even began to recount his gains recently. Breaking through to the seventh level had ushered in a totally new experience for him.
