The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World

Chapter 257- Mar-Yue’s Bloodline

"You must be feeling really good about yourself."

Sol heard as he was resting with his eyes closed.

When he opened them, he saw Yoon-Jae standing over him with an accusing look on his face.

Sol forced a smile and then said.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, don't be mad, I really couldn't miss this opportunity, and this time I was sure I wouldn't be putting my life on the line."

Yoon-Jae continued to look at Sol for a moment before he sighed and said.

"I'm not going to be some overprotective mother worrying about her child. You know what you're doing, so I won't interfere with your willingness to get stronger. But know that you have me to spar with, so don't go looking for a life and death battle with every person you meet who's stronger than you."

Sol smiled.

"Hm, I'll be relying on Brother Yoon-Jae more from now on."

Yoon-Jae turned his head away from Sol, lips pursed. However, he suddenly looked back at Sol, who was missing his upper clothes, before he turned to Mar-Dule and asked with a frown.

"I thought you said these clothes were designed with your Barbarians Race's transformation in mind?"

With his hands on his hips, Mar-Dule answered.

"Well, these clothes came from the Steel Tribe. Perhaps if it were in the past, all of us could have transformed, but our tribe is the one closest to our Giant Race's bloodline. So our clothes were specially made for us. See, that's my pants."

Mar-Dule pointed at the pants Sol was wearing, which were still intact. He then glared at Yoon-Jae and said.

"And that's why they are so expensive. I only had four suits, but now it's down to three."

Yoon-Jae snorted.

"I'm not giving you a single Aether Stone. And why do you even wear those clothes if you can't transform?"

Mar-Dule frowned at that and folded his arms.

"So what if I can't transform?"

Hearing Mar-Dule's less aggressive response, Yoon-Jae realized he might have gone too far.

"And besides, have you forgotten how I cultivate my fleshly body? The other protective clothes aren't enough to protect me from the heat."

Upon hearing that, Sol and Yoon-Jae realized that this place was extremely dangerous for Mar-Dule's cultivation.

Since he cultivated by storing Metal Aether Energy in his flesh, if he were exposed to this heat, it would burn away all the Metal Aether Energy he had painstakingly cultivated.

This was even worse for him in the Heat Zones they've passed.

They hadn't even thought of this.

"I'm sorry."

Yoon-Jae apologized, but Mar-Dule suddenly scowled in disgust.

"Don't ever do that again. Apologizing doesn't suit you."

"Huh? This bastard, fine, you'll never hear me try to sympathize with you again."

Mar-Dule picked his ear as he said.

"That's better. For a second, I thought you'd lost your mind."

Yoon-Jae ground his teeth, but before he could say anything, Sol chimed in.

"Is it true you can't transform? How come?"

Mar-Dule paused for a moment, then answered.

"I just don't have my Giant Race's bloodline. You could say I was never born with it since it was stolen before I was born."

"Stolen? By who?"

Sol asked, shocked, and Mar-Dule's expression became complicated as he said.

"By my sister. When we were conceived, something happened that caused most of the Giant Race bloodline in me to be transferred to her."

"Something like that actually happened?"

Yoon-Jae muttered in disbelief.

"Yeah, but I'm not surprised one bit. That brat can be selfish sometimes…"

"Mar-Dule, wait."

Sol said, trying to stop Mar-Dule from speaking, but he insisted on finishing as he said.

"Did you know that I was the first twin that was supposed to be born? But Dad said that brat actually fought to be born first. Even then, she was always-"

"Sniffle…"

Mar-Dule suddenly heard someone sniffling behind him, and he immediately stiffened, before turning to see his sister Mar-Yue behind him. Tears were flowing down her cheeks, and her nose was red.

"It wasn't on purpose!"

Mar-Yue yelled before her tears flowed even harder.

"Nice going, you idiot."

Yoon-Jae muttered under his breath.

Mar-Dule sighed before saying.

"You always do this. How many times do I have to tell you I'm not angry at you?"

"Liar, how can you talk like that and not be angry?"

Mar-Dule frowned.

"I was just joking, Mar-Yue, so can you stop crying?"

"You're obviously lying; you keep resenting me for something I had no control over. If I could give it back to you, I would have done it already!"

Instead of getting his sister to stop crying, Mar-Dule just made it worse.

Mar-Dule soon dropped his frown before releasing another sigh. He then walked over to Mar-Yue and patted her head.

"Look, I'm angry, Mar-Yue, but I'm not angry at you. I would never blame you, okay? I'm sorry for saying those things, so please stop crying."

Mar-Yue was a bit shorter than her brother, so she looked up at him as she asked.

"Are you really not mad at me? *Sniffle*"

"As an older brother, it would be really reprehensible if I blamed my little sister for something like that."

Mar-Yue calmed down a bit and wiped her eyes. But she then glared at Mar-Dule and said.

"Who is your little sister? I was born first."

Mar-Dule, seeing that Mar-Yue was back to her old self, immediately raised his hands in the air and backed away.

"Right, right, you're my Big Sis. You're so old you could be mistaken for a grandma."

Mar-Yue placed her hands on her hips and puffed out her chest. She then turned to look at Sol and Yoon-Jae with a glare as she said.

"You two better not mention to anyone what you saw here."

Yoon-Jae and Sol immediately nodded their heads simultaneously.

After that, Mar-Yue looked at Sol, who was still lying on the ground. She paused, then asked.

"Are you sure you're fine? If you're too injured, I can have my Father heal you."

"No, I'm fine. But thanks for worrying about me."

Sol said as he sat up and smiled at Mar-Yue.

Mar-Yue, seeing his smile, had her hand twitch, but she managed to suppress the urge to punch Sol in the face.

Sol's expression became weird for a second, but he chose not to say anything about what he saw.

"Mar-Yue, I've been meaning to ask, but since when has your cultivation reached the Quasi-Spiritual Realm?"

"Right? I want to know this too."

Mar-El was heard saying as she approached the group.

"Wha-What are you talking about? My cultivation speed isn't that fast."

Mar-El and Mar-Dule had strange expressions appear on their faces.

Mar-El said.

"Big Sis, that wasn't the question we asked."

"Huh? Does it really matter what my cultivation is? It's not that important."

Mar-Dule frowned.

"How can it not be important? You're the first person in the history of our Barbarian Race to have such a pure bloodline. It's important that-"

"Oh, look, the sandstorm is about to pass."

Mar-Yue suddenly said as she looked up at the surface. It was obvious she was trying to change the subject.

"Mar-Yue, why are you trying to avoid talking about your bloodline? Wait, is that related to why you've been acting so strange?"

Mar-Dule kept going, and Mar-Yue resorted to anger as she glared at him and said.

"You're persistent, aren't you? Nothing is happening with my bloodline; it's the same as it always was."

"Hm? What about your bloodline?"

The young man who was observing Sol in the sky suddenly appeared amongst the group. Mar-Yue was so frightened she jumped and blurted out.

"Ah!"

She then turned to the young man and said.

"Father, don't appear so suddenly!"
