Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister

Chapter 118: It is Time.

P.O.V-David.

Entering into the cave and moving farther into the darker part I withdraw two little boxes from my storage ring.

These two boxes contained two extremely precious pills.

Two pills I received from the Patriarch of the Dang Clan as gifts.

I at first thought of using them for myself but I think it is better to give them to someone else.

And who else could I give if not my beautiful children.

It would greatly increase their strength.

But the problem is there are only two so I at first had trouble deciding who to give it to.

But after thinking for a long time I eventually thought of a way.

I plan to host a sort of graduation ceremony for them.

A kinda ceremony to mark their training completion.

A ceremony to kinda usher them into the world of the Murim.

During this ceremony there would be a competition and the two best would be given these two pills.

This ceremony holds tomorrow evening.

I need to set up somethings.

After checking out the condition of the pills I put them back in my storage ring and head out to put somethings in order.

Time flew quickly and the sun was already setting the next day.

I stand at the entrance of the cave as I bask in the weak rays of the setting Sun which passes through some gaps in the trees.

I call out the children.

"Well then, my cute little children, we started a journey together three years ago, a journey which started with sadness and pain, a journey which was filled with struggles, grit and torture but still contained laughs, bonding, happiness and growth."

"After all that I finally believe, it is time..."

"Time? time for what Master?" They all ask anxiously.

"I believe it is time to conclude this present training process."

They all stood there dazed, unsure of what to say.

"But before we end this you all must pass through one final phase of trial, if you all pass it which I believe you should, you would all have successfully passed through this initial three year long training session."

They said nothing still.

They probably didn't know what to say.

"Alright, follow me, take nothing with you but your clothes." I say as I slowly turn and begin walking into the trees.

They follow close behind me.

At first they remained silent but soon began mumuring amongst themselves.

The walk was a little long but after eleven minutes of walking we arrive at the site.

At this point visibility was low.

The sun had almost completely set and there were trees all around blocking any possible leftover light from the sun from getting here.

The darkness settled properly over a few seconds.

*SNAP*

At the snap of my fingers I send a spark onto a wooden torch which was on a tall rock 30 feet away from us.

As the spark lands on the fur of the torch it immediately catches fire.

The light from the flame illuminates the ground around it revealing a deep pit 40 feet long and 25 feet wide between us and the rock.

Inside this pit was a cage which had a thick rope connected to to its top.

The other end of the rope was tied to a tree outside this pit.

They look over to see what was in the cage but due to the bad lighting they couldn't exactly tell what was in it.

"Alright, everyone get in."

"Huh?" They uttered.

"You all heard me, get in."

"Into the pit?" Hoon asks.

Well of course into the pit where else could you possibly jump into?

I just stand there giving him the look of 'What the fuck kind of stupid question did you just ask.'

"May we at least know the process of this trial? Maybe any information?" Conan asks.

"Nope, jump in." I reply.

They were hesitant but soon, one by one, they began hopping in.

The all hopped in without any further questions.

They stood there waiting for my next order.

"What is in the cave before you is a Level 9 Spirit Beast, yes, it's dangerous but what's more dangerous is the Murim World.

The place is dark, making movement and seeing difficult.

The rule is simple, kill that thing.

This are the weapons you'll be using."

I drop some weapons down for them but they were not wooden.

This was the second time they were ever going to use real weapons.

Their looks changed as the pick up their weapons.

They looked serious and anxious.

They've never faced a Level 9 Spirit Beast.

And they might not face one till they leave this mountain cause that is not a Level 9 Spirit Beast.

It is a Level 10 Spirit Beast.

It was the Level 10 Horned Viper which swallowed its mate and I ended up not killing.

I went back to get it just for the sake of this.

It was quite difficult but I was able to capture it without killing it.

Looking at them I could see the nervousness in their eyes.

I can feel their heart beat from all the way up here.

"Remember what I thought you, fear nothing, believe you can overcome any obstacle and you will.

Strike precisely and hard.

Honestly I hope none of you die here but if any of you do, I believe if is better here than for you to die in a possibly more painful way outside."

They got more serious as they realize they could die and I wouldn't do anything.

Though ... That was bullshit, there's no way I was going to let any of them die.

After capturing it I fed it a blood worm so I can halt it at any point.

But feeding them with fear and motivation is the best way to push them right.

Besides, with how I've raised them fear isn't something I expect any of them to have in front of a 'Level 9' Beast.

I genuinely believe if they give it their all they can beat this Level 10 Spirit Beast.

But if I told them it was a Level 10 Spirit Beast they could get too cautious and over cautiousness can lead to mistakes and mistakes could lead to having them unable to draw out their full power.

Telling them it was is a Level 9 rather than a Level 10 is a mind game to make them believe it is more possible.

'We dealt with a Level 8 seven months ago, together we should be able to deal with this now.' They must be thinking in their heads right now.

They will win.

They have to.

"Alright, I'll raise the cage now, do not let your guard down and do not be too tensed up, loosen up, you can all do it."

They nod their heads without looking up at me.

Their gaze was fixated on their prey.

Their eyes glittering with killing intent as they stood with their weapons ready to attack at any point.

*RUMBLE RUMBLE*

I lift the cage up by the rope attached to it.

The Viper slowly begins to unwind itself and in an instant it strikes at Conan.
