"That, in turn, would lead students to move into Zone Two to take on more powerful beasts. We've got quite a lot stacked against us right now, so it's best if we leave this to the academy to handle," James replied, sighing.
Tiana nodded.
They had delved deep into Ezekiel's information the previous day and were astounded to discover that he had achieved a remarkable feat, defeating twenty-five Windcrest Descendants.
They had watched the video, which was over two and a half hours long, from beginning to end, their eyes never skipping a scene, and they were stunned.
It was as though they had seen a fish that had once been seriously injured just by swimming suddenly turn into the ocean's best swimmer.
Though they still found it hard to believe, they were genuinely thrilled for him.
"Let's go get the captain discharged from the hospital," Tiana said.
"We can patch his injuries and carry him along if he isn't fully healed yet."
James nodded.
They walked out of the back of the Dungeon Hall.
Meanwhile, Ezekiel returned to his dorm room.
He took out his phone and checked the time.
17:00
"I wonder when the package will arrive," Ezekiel mused.
At that moment, a notification alert appeared on his phone.
[ Your package will arrive in the next thirty minutes.
Please be at the door to receive it. Suppose you fail to be present at that hour, we'll hand the package to your dorm supervisor. You'll have to pick it up from there.
From the Grand Avalon Delivery team. ]
Ezekiel read through the email.
Ever since the time he threatened the Dorm Supervisor, he had been consistently delivering his groceries to his dorm room at the assigned hour, never skipping once.
Ezekiel didn't plan on changing his attitude toward him in the near future, as it was more comfortable this way.
As for Ethan and Mireal Volarin, who had vandalised his room, they had been avoiding him for a while, so he hadn't been able to meet them and team them a lesson.
Since the Windcrest Clan Descendants hadn't yet made any moves, he was hoping to use the Volarin Clan Descendants to complete the System quest he had triggered from Cynthia.
"I can use this time to catch a bit of rest," Ezekiel muttered, rubbing his tired eyes weakly.
Not only did he feel exhausted, but even his Spirit Veins felt strained from the repeated use of mana.
If he didn't have the nanites in his Spirit Veins constantly repairing them and aiding with his flow of mana, he might have already collapsed hours ago from mana exhaustion.
Ezekiel summoned CRs Squad One from his storage ring.
With a flash of light, the space before the ring twisted, and three familiar Cybernetic Sabre-toothed Rabbits appeared in front of him.
"Awaiting your orders, Captain!" CR1 said, with his elongated forearm pressed against his head.
The other two stood in salutation on both sides behind him.
"Guard the room. I want to take a nap. I'm expecting a package, so if you notice anyone at the door, inform me immediately in case I'm still asleep," Ezekiel ordered.
"Understood, Master," CR1 replied firmly. "Would you like a meal after you awaken from your slumber?"
Ezekiel nodded. "Something light would do."
CR1 nodded. "I would like to request a squad to aid in accomplishing this task."
"Okay," Ezekiel responded.
He summoned Squad Two.
Suddenly, three more Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits appeared before him.
They were CR2, CR12, and lastly, CR22.
Ezekiel placed his smartphone at the edge of the bed and went to sleep.
***
Thirty minutes later
Ding! Ding!
Ezekiel was aroused by a light feeling pressing against his cheeks.
"I'm awake. I'm awake," Ezekiel muttered, yawning.
He gently pushed CR1 to the side as he slowly sat upright and stretched his limbs. He stood up and walked to the door.
When he pulled it open, he saw a young man in his mid-20s standing outside.
The man's expression instantly changed to one of surprise. He thought that the owner of the dorm room wasn't around, which was quite normal as students were constantly training to improve their strength.
He didn't really want to keep the packages he was to deliver under the care of the Dorm supervisor because they were expensive, and if something were to happen to them, he would share in the blame.
Fortunately, someone had opened the door just in time.
He swiftly took out a smartscreen device from his utility waist bag and compared the picture on it to Ezekiel.
It was a perfect match.
To confirm, the deliveryman asked, "Are you Ezekiel Zahara? Resident of Dorm apartment 248?"
"I am," Ezekiel nodded.
The deliveryman inwardly sighed in relief. "Let's go in," he said.
Ezekiel stepped out of the way for the deliveryman to step into his dorm room. He had already noticed the storage bracelet on his hand and understood what he planned to do.
The two CR squads had already run under the bed and into the kitchen to hide.
The deliveryman stretched his hand, and the space beside his bracelet twisted.
Instantly, several sealed wooden boxes appeared at the centre of the room. The boxes were stacking against one another and spreading until they reached the roof, occupying my entire main room.
"That's all," the deliveryman said.
"Please sign here to ensure that you've received your packages." He brought out a smart pen from his front pocket and placed his smart screen device in front of him.
He gave the pen to Ezekiel.
Ezekiel took the pen and signed his name.
"All done. Have a nice day, Mr Ezekiel," the deliveryman nodded respectfully, then exited the room.
Ezekiel locked the door behind him.
He took his storage bag and stored them all inside.
"I should eat something before returning to training," Ezekiel said, rubbing his stomach, perceiving a pleasing aroma emerging from the kitchen.
Suddenly, his stomach growled.
"Yeah. I'll do that first."
After washing his face, Ezekiel had his meal and quickly returned to the Dungeon Hall.
