Three Towers Game

Chapter 161: The Person Lurking Behind Barrages and Skulking

Wen Xishu's audience was indeed very angry.

Their expectations were absurdly high.

Readers immersed in the story are willing to enter it, of course, it has to be a satisfying, sweet, healing, or warm story...

Abusive, horror, or apocalypse stories are a different matter.

Wen Xishu's actions prompted the other three to think.

But as for the next few people, Wen Xishu no longer cared about their stories.

The Lecturer Man recounted how he exploited women, making a group of people earn money for him by brainwashing women, causing those women to harm their own relatives and buy substandard products at high prices.

The Killer told how he tricked and killed a group of people, burying them in cement, and the process of pouring concrete pillars over them.

In this process, having everyone please him was very similar to the way storytelling sessions were carried out.

The Brat's method was quite similar to Wen Xishu's.

The Brat told multiple stories in one go within three minutes.

Needless to say, there were still many in the audience who wanted to see the Brat punished.

The Brat already had champion potential, with an expectation score of 280.

But the Killer and the Lecturer Man were both just above a hundred.

By this round, there was no one left to cushion their scores.

The Lecturer Man scored 114, the Killer 111.

The Lecturer Man had a slight edge because people hated pyramid schemes and the cases of relatives being brainwashed and promoting them frantically.

But in the accident segment, the Killer had a clear chance to turn things around.

The Killer knew that in the next round, it would be hard for his story to surpass someone else's.

So this round's story ended very quickly.

Wen Xishu swiftly took first place with an expectation score of over 400.

The accident segment arrived.

"Can this kid survive? He's facing that group of mysterious audience members; if he dies in there!"

"Then the only one I have to worry about is that brat." The Killer hoped Wen Xishu would die.

After all, with an expectation score of 400, he'd be facing at least a few hundred people, right?

Wen Xishu walked cheerfully into his designated room.

The three other contestants all hoped Wen Xishu would die. But as the room door opened and then closed...

None of them knew what Wen Xishu's story would trigger.

...

...

Although the room was spacious, it couldn't hold hundreds of people.

However, the house could simulate various scenes, and Wen Xishu guessed he would end up in a strange place.

And just as he predicted.

When Wen Xishu stepped into the room... he arrived at a crossroads in a small town.

The style of the town's buildings was quite similar to Mo'en City's.

The crossroads were crowded with over four hundred people, surrounding Wen Xishu.

But interestingly, their faces... showed no anger.

They were just confused.

For a long, long time, they had forgotten their original identities and always thought they were watching some program.

They were used to this identity and didn't think about who they were.

When everyone appeared here, they seemed to start thinking vaguely—

"Who... am I?"

[Why am I here?]

[Weren't we just watching a story?]

[We were pulled into the story!]

[Wait... that person looks really familiar! Really familiar!]

Yes, someone did look very familiar.

That person was dressed oddly, with a long tongue and big buns.

Among the audience was the Snake-tongued Woman.

Wen Xishu wasn't the first to notice this; it was the bullet comments above their heads that made him aware.

Following the comments, Wen Xishu saw... the Snake-tongued Woman, who had died in the second round.

She looked bewildered, completely unaware of what had happened to her.

Wen Xishu originally thought this was a world created by keyboard warriors to indulge their joy of pointing fingers at people.

After all, keyboard warriors were always judging the bad guys.

At least, the people they considered bad guys.

Novelty, heavy taste, satisfying a rampant sense of justice, and pointing fingers at others, lust...

These things built this storytelling session.

Wen Xishu thought so.

But now he suddenly realized...

He had overlooked a crucial factor.

The Knight. The castle.

"If I appeared in a highly... modern setting right from the start, then my guess might have been correct."

"But I appeared in a castle..."

"So these people aren't the masterminds."

Seeing the Snake-tongued Woman, Wen Xishu knew that the audience wasn't the masterminds.

The masterminds were someone else.

In this game... the audience was just part of the game.

Wen Xishu said:

"Everyone, do you still remember her?"

Wen Xishu pointed at the Snake-tongued Woman.

"Before you all plan to beat me up collectively... why not think about why she is here."

The bewildered Snake-tongued Woman saw all eyes on her.

At this moment, the bullet comments appeared overwhelmingly.

[Holy crap! Why is the Goddess here?]

[What the hell... why is she here? Wasn't she dead?]

[She died and then mingled among us? No... could it be that we're all actually dead?]

[The more I think about it, the scarier it gets... what are we really?]

The people surrounding Wen Xishu mostly had faces similar to those of Jack and the others.

Wen Xishu said:

"If you want me to solve the mystery, why not step back a bit? There are many ways you can kill me, as the storytelling session hasn't ended yet."

"But if you want to understand the mystery about yourselves, why not let me ask this woman some questions."
