In 3rd wave, the number of monsters had doubled compared to the previous one.
Now, Raizel was battling four Red Giants.
Cleverly, he used [Quick Steal] for the first time, snatching their weapons before they could react.
Now unarmed, the enraged giants charged at him.
Raizel discarded their heavy weapons like garbage before lunging forward, wielding his D-Rank spear.
With each thrust, he learned and adapted, steadily tempering his skills. Though he hadn't yet mastered any special techniques, his fundamentals were being honed to perfection as his high Intelligence allowing him to process and refine his movements at an exceptional rate.
Very soon he cleared up the 3rd wave as well. And he didn't used Red Berserker yet.
That alone proved that Raizel's physique was truly comparable to a Red Giant, but one with intelligence and special spells.
Before the fourth wave arrive, fortunately he was given a few minutes to rest.
Then, when the fourth wave arrived, it revealed eight monsters—unexpectedly.
Raizel was momentarily speechless. At this rate, wouldn't he have to face a ridiculous number of monsters by the seventh wave?
Regardless, he knew he could handle this wave using the same strategy as before.
With [Quick Steal], he carefully disarmed them, though it took considerable effort.
"Pierce, pierce, pierce!"
Then with a series of precise thrusts, he somehow managed to take down all eight monsters using just the D-rank spear.
[ EXP: 3,250/15,000 ]
At least the experience points were worth it.
But the fifth wave showed no mercy.
16 Red Giants stood tall before him, their massive hammers thirsting for blood.
Raizel, already slightly injured, swallowed hard as he imagined the pain they could inflict.
There was no way the same strategy would work again.
Still, he had to try.
As he activated [Quick Steal], his hand stretched toward a hammer—but just as his fingers were about to grasp it, the weapon shifted out of reach.
He instantly backed away, gasping.
That confirmed it. These Red Giants were sharper and much stronger than the previous ones.
"Whoosh!"
A shadow loomed over him.
One of the giants had already swung its hammer, bringing it down right over his head.
If that hit landed, he wouldn't just be injured—he'd be nothing but shattered bones.
[ Red Berserker ]
Without hesitation, Raizel activated Red Berserker, his body swelling until he resembled a smaller version of a Red Giant himself.
Though he wasn't quite as large as their towering 3-meter frames, his new form was close enough.
Raizel knew he couldn't afford to waste time while in this state.
With Red Berserker's enhanced strength and agility, he intercepted the oncoming hammer just in time.
Holding the spear horizontally with both hands, he blocked it head on.
"Boom!"
The impact sent a thunderous shockwave through the air.
The rocky ground beneath his feet cracked slightly, but he gritted his teeth and held his stance.
"Clang!"
With a swift sidestep, he struck the hammer hard with his spear, knocking it from the giant's grip.
Then—
"Puchi!"
He drove the spear straight through the giant's chest, piercing its leather armor with ease.
The creature let out a bloodcurdling scream before collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud.
[ EXP +290 ]
Raizel wasn't given a moment to rest as more Red Giants rumbled toward him.
As such he threw himself into battle, fighting against the horde relentlessly.
At times, his movements blurred with sheer speed; at others, he stood like the epitome of Hercules, intercepting and cutting down the Red Giants one by one.
Time passed.
After nearly ten grueling minutes, the 5th wave was cleared.
The cavern atmosphere fell into complete silence—except for the sound of Raizel's heavy breathing.
He was panting.
Sweat dripped down his face, blood stained his clothes, but a satisfied smile tugged at his lips.
Because—
[ EXP: 7,550/15,000 ]
His experience bar was rising fast, making all the hard work feel worth it.
[ Stamina: 9/32 ]
With Red Berserker deactivated, exhaustion weighed down on him—his stamina nearly depleted.
"Clang!"
He let the heavy spear fall to the ground beside him and sat onto the cold, rocky surface of the cave, staring at his hands.
As he removed the gloves, a painful scene unfolded.
They were red and raw, calluses forming on his palms from the relentless force of wielding the heavy metal spear.
Next Raizel transformed his clothes into something more comfortable, allowing his body to cool down and his muscles to relax after the intense strain. At the same time, he focused on recovering his lost stamina.
Stamina recovery took time, varying based on the situation and environment. He wasn't sure if he could fully recover before the next wave started.
To make things worse, he had neither stamina potions nor food to speed up the process.
He had carelessly ignored their existences. It reflected his flaws.
That meant now he had to rely solely on his body's natural recovery.
However, just then he remembered another method.
Sitting in a meditative posture, he began to focus by closing his eyes.
Before long, he lost himself in the comforting rhythm of slow inhales and quick exhales.
[ Stamina: 11/32 ]
Indeed.. It was working.
His stamina was recovering at an astonishing rate.
Realizing this, he remained in that state, determined to make use of every second he had.
Minutes passed—six or seven at most.
Raizel heard movement and slowly opened his eyes.
Just as he expected, nearly three dozen Red Giants had spawned before him. He didn't have time to count, but he estimated their numbers at around 32.
If this pattern continued, the final wave could bring 64.
Gripping his spear once more, he rose to his feet, his heart as calm as a frozen lake.
[ Stamina: 23/32 ]
His stamina had recovered significantly. Now, he was ready.
His crimson irises locked onto the approaching giants, his gaze cold and unwavering.
[ Red Berserker Activated ]
His body expanded again, nearly matching the towering forms of his enemies.
This challenge wouldn't stop him. Nor would the next.
He would become victorious.
He would grow stronger.
For himself—And for his new family.
