Supreme Game: Antimagic Apocalypse

Chapter 83: Nightlife

Afternoon.

After barely getting familiar with his new team members, Raizel started heading home.

They all took the same lift down to the ground floor, the atmosphere slightly more relaxed now.

Raizel had his own agenda, so the moment the elevator doors opened, he moved to head straight for the exit.

But just as he stepped out, he was stopped by Maestro—the group's charming Adonis, who seemed to carry an invisible fan club wherever he went.

"Hey, dude. What's the rush? Let's go pick up some chicks," Maestro said with a roguish smirk, Garret casually flanking him.

"Yuan, you coming too?" he added, tossing a glance back.

"Amitabha! My apologies, fellow Daoist," Yuan replied with mock seriousness, hands pressed together like a monk. "This humble monk has vowed not to touch a woman until I achieve immortality."

Then, with a cheeky grin, he bolted in the opposite direction.

"Pfft, just admit you're a coward, fake monk," Garret scoffed after him.

Raizel also offered an apologetic smile. "Sorry, guys. I've got some important stuff to take care of today. Maybe next time."

As he turned to leave, Maestro casually extended his arm, blocking Raizel's path.

"Oh, come on, Raizel. Don't tell me you're scared too? Relax, Cecilia won't even catch us, I swear."

Raizel raised an eyebrow. "Why did Cecilia come in conversation? We don't have that kind of relationship, really. I'm just busy. I need to talk with some people about getting my little sister into college."

"Ohh... No Special relationship? But it didn't look like to me," Maestro said with squinted eyes.

Nonetheless, he finally pulled his arm back, nodding in understanding.

"Raizel, don't you have a butler for that? Or a manager?"

Raizel let out a soft chuckle. "Nah. We were ordinary people until recently, remember?"

"Hmm. Then you should hire a few," Maestro said, already pulling out his phone. "Need help with that?"

Raizel hesitated for a moment. "But will they be reliable?"

Maestro grinned. "Relax. They're pros. I know some personally from my house. If anything goes wrong, you come straight to me, alright?"

Raizel nodded, a small smile playing at his lips. "Alright then... I guess I owe you one now."

"Well... You can repay me by joining us for a drink," Maestro replied calmly, a playful glint in his eye.

"Yeah, come on, Raizel. Don't refuse yet again," Garret added, slinging an arm around Raizel's shoulder. "It's just for an hour or so. We have to log in to the game too, you're not the only one. But sometimes, you gotta enjoy life a little, you know? Who knows we might not be alive to see the next day."

Raizel sighed, surrendering. "Alright, alright... I'll come with you."

At last, he gave in. Because a part of him was curious anyway—curious about what kind of life this world offered, now that everything was different.

"Great!" Maestro grinned, already multitasking on his phone. "What's your address, Raizel?"

Raizel promptly told him the location of his new house, and Maestro relayed it to the person on the other end of the call.

Once the call ended, Maestro took the lead, heading outside the towering Apex Guild building with confidence and flair, Garret trailing behind with his usual swagger.

And so, Raizel followed—unware that this encounter would lead to his fated partner.

---

They arrived at the parking area, where rows of both ground and flying vehicles were lined up neatly.

Raizel's eyes widened at the sight. Sleek designs, glossy exteriors, and futuristic curves—these machines screamed power and luxury. A sudden urge sparked in him to own one of those Aero Cars or even one of those monstrous, high-powered Super Bikes.

"Here we are, folks," Maestro announced with a proud grin, stopping in front of a black Aero Car. Its design was sleek and aggressive, resembling a supercar straight out of his past life.

Raizel was genuinely impressed. It looked top-tier—probably something only the rich or extremely lucky could afford.

"Woah... is that the latest version of the Sky Whale?" Garret asked, jaw dropping. "Just how did you get your hands on that, Maestro?"

Maestro chuckled, keeping things vague. "Let's just say I have a very close connection with the Sky Whale Company."

Garret gave him a sly smile, as if he had just confirmed a theory about Maestro's background.

"Alright, let's get on board," Maestro said, unlocking the vehicle with a wave of his hand. "The pretty ladies are waiting for us."

The Aero Car lifted effortlessly into the air with a smooth hum, gliding above the traffic lanes like a shark cutting through water. Inside, the interior was just as impressive as its exterior—plush leather seats, ambient lighting, and a central console that looked more advanced than a jet cockpit.

Garret whistled, "Man, this thing is smoother than my grandma's lullabies."

Raizel just chuckled, feeling a little fresh as the soft breeze past his face and hair.

He wasn't completely new to the nightlife as he had attended a few in his past life too. Although, he had no experience with picking girls. His girlfriend was the one who had picked him instead.

Maestro drove like a pro, weaving through skyways until the city skyline opened up to reveal one of its hidden gems: Heavenly Nectar.

Situated atop a high-rise, the bar was built with transparent, enchanted glass, giving it a floating-in-the-sky appearance.

Its glowing violet and gold signage shimmered in the air like a constellation, and smooth jazz mixed with synth beats could be faintly heard even from the outside.

"Welcome to Heavenly Nectar," Maestro announced as they landed smoothly on the private sky platform. "Only elites and registered guild players can get in. Consider it one of the perks."

As they stepped out, a doorman in a crisp enchanted suit scanned them quickly and gave a respectful nod. "Welcome, gentlemen."

Inside, the bar was nothing short of stunning.

The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of Megacity 17, its towers lit up like a circuit board in the night. Crystalline chandeliers floated mid-air, shifting colors with the music. The scent of exotic herbs and spiced drinks danced in the air, and holographic butterflies fluttered lazily above the bar counter.

A group of elegantly dressed girls sitting near the central lounge turned their heads as Maestro entered, a few even whispering and giggling.

Garret elbowed Raizel. "Looks like we're about to see Maestro in his natural habitat, Raizel."

Maestro gave a small wave to the girls before looking back at the two. "Lets drink first. Then maybe we can do some dancing."

"Dancing? Nah... Count me out," Raizel said already showing red flag.

Hearing this, Maestro and Garret gave each a mischievous glance.

Raizel followed, still taking in the grandeur of the place.

He had never stepped foot in such an upscale venue before. For a moment, it felt he wasn't the same 33 years old man now, he was just a young man, living his youth.

Bu he couldn't help but wonder: Was this the kind of world the elites here lived in every day?

Although, deep down he knew this kind if life wasn't suited for him.

All he now wanted ti do is quietly pass the evening somehow.

But if he get to experience something new, something worth remembering, then this couldn't be any better.
