The white void rippled like water disturbed by a stone as three new shadowy figures stepped forth from the space they appeared. Each of them was identical to Arthur in stature and strength as if they were a reflection of him, but they do not have any facial features.
The air around them thrummed with power, the sheer density of mana pressing against Arthur's skin like he was inside a storm.
Arthur exhaled, rolling his shoulders. "Three of you, huh? I guess the Oracle's done playing around."
The sword spirit's voice sounded inside his head, its tone edged with amusement. "You look excited, lad. I take it you're not planning to hold back this time."
Arthur smirked. "You have figured me out in this short amount of time."
Then, without a sound, all three shadows raised their hands.
Invisible force slammed into Arthur from all directions, his limbs locking in place midair. His breath caught in his throat as the pressure constricted tighter, every molecule of air around him vibrated with the crushing density of three overlapping telekinetic fields. The space around him itself felt like it had turned solid.
His teeth clenched as veins bulged across his neck. 'They're combining their telekinesis powers… smart bastards.'
He tried to move, but it was like wading through mercury. The space distorted around him, making his movements as slow as a tortoise.
Before he could fully resist, the three shadows lifted their second palms toward him. In perfect synchronization, mana surged, and dense, black energy gathered in front of their hands, forming long spears.
Arthur's eyes widened, but he didn't have time to react. Three massive lances of pure, condensed mana shot forward, converging on him.
The explosion that followed tore through the white void. A blinding flash engulfed everything; energy waves rolled outward in rings, bending light and space alike. The shockwave screamed like a storm as it hit him full-on, creating a vacuum in its blast radius.
For a long moment, there was only silence.
The fractured ground split open as Arthur burst from the center of the explosion, his body battered and bloodied, one of his shoulders was even mangled badly. His skin appeared charred, but his regeneration began knitting the flesh back together at an extremely fast pace. But the shadows hadn't stopped their attacks.
They still held him with a telekinetic clamping around his body like invisible chains.
Arthur growled, lightning bursting around him like wildfire. "Let's see how you handle this!"
He pulled from deep within himself, the combination of Chi, mana, and lightning surging through his meridians. And his aura exploded outward in a blinding pulse, shattering the psychic hold like breaking glass.
BOOM!
The air rippled violently, the telekinetic fields crumbling under the raw pressure of his release. At this moment his Chi technique allowed him to augment his base strength up to six times which was what contributed most to him being able to free himself from the grip of the shadows.
Arthur blurred out of sight, reappearing in front of the nearest shadow in a fraction of a second.
The clone barely had time to react before Arthur's fist smashed into its arms, Chi covering his whole body and he appeared like a golden man.
CRACK!
Both of the shadow's forearms shattered instantly, fragments of black energy scattering into the air as the figure was launched backward like a missile. It crashed into the distant horizon, the force of impact creating a shockwave that fractured the ground before healing again.
Arthur didn't pause. He twisted midair, eyes narrowing as the other two shadows closed in from opposite sides, both of them appeared they had perfect coordination in their movements.
The first came in high with a roundhouse kick, black lightning trailing its leg. Arthur blocked with his forearm, sparks exploding at the point of contact. The impact sent tremors through his arm.
Then the second shadow appeared behind him silently, as the shadow took advantage of the opening and attacked him from behind. Its blade made out of condensed shadow energy was already descending on his neck. Though the blade might be made out of shadow, the sword was extremely tough, and was sharp enough to pierce his skin.
Arthur's instincts screamed at him, he felt he couldn't block the attack in time.

He forced his body forward with a telekinetic burst. The sword missed his neck but carved a deep gash across his back instead, his blood sprayed into the air. The wound was so deep his spine was visible through the gash, though in a second his regeneration sealed it shut again.
Arthur dropped low and spun, kicking both shadows away with a burst of Chi-enhanced swipe. He landed hard, crouching with one knee touching the ground, his breathing was heavy but was steady.
His sword spirit's voice echoed in his mind, it said in a teasing tone. "You appear to be overwhelmed, lad."
Arthur wiped his mouth, and said. "You should see their conditions first."
As if on cue, the first shadow he'd punched returned, its arms had already regenerated back, black lightning sparking along the reformed limbs. The three reassembled into a triangular formation around him, their energy and movements in sync.
Arthur narrowed his eyes. The next instant, they all vanished and the air erupted in chaos.
Golden and black streaks of lightning weaved across the battlefield, clashing and spiraling in arcs that lit up the void like a storm. Arthur met the first shadow head-on, their swords colliding with a sound that resembled thunder cracking through glass.
He parried high, ducked low, countered with a sweeping kick, then telekinetically yanked one of their swords toward him mid-fight, only for another shadow to intercept the attack with its own telekinesis, the two psychic forces colliding violently midair creating sparks.
Arthur jumped back, summoning a shield made out of Chi just in time as one of the shadows fired a barrage of Mana Bullets, the impacts fell across his barrier like rain.
He raised his hand, retaliating with his own barrage. Blue-white explosions rippled across the void, shockwaves rolling in waves that cracked the ground under them.
One of the shadows teleported or rather, appeared behind him using a lightning-boosted dash. Arthur spun, parried the shadow's blade with his elbow, then unleashed a blast of Chi from his palm. The impact tore through the air, flinging the shadow across the battlefield.
But before he could follow up, another shadow hit him in the side with a telekinetic wave. Arthur grunted, flying backward, then used his own telekinesis to stop himself midair, reversing the momentum instantly.
Lightning surged around him as he thrust his palm forward. 'Mana Bomb!'
A sphere of compressed mana formed instantly, its core pulsing like a heart and lightning surrounded it. He hurled it at the nearest shadow.
The shadow countered in perfect sync, but its mana bomb was only made out of mana. The two bombs collided in midair.
BOOOOOOM!
The explosion consumed both of them in a sphere of radiant light. Arthur shielded his eyes, then used the cover to move through the lightning flash, reappearing above the third shadow.
Chi surged through his veins as he swung his sword downward with all his strength.
His sword, enveloped in golden lightning and Chi, descended like a falling star. The shadow raised its blade to block, but Arthur poured every ounce of power he had into that swing. The impact split the air, and the shockwave traveled for miles.
CRACK! BOOOOOM!
The shadow's defense shattered, the blade breaking in half. The clone was cleaved through the chest, dissolving into smoke.
Arthur heaved a sigh of relief as finally one of the shadows was destroyed.
He felt a disturbance, and his instincts screamed at him. He turned sharply just in time to block a black lightning spear that materialized an inch from his chest. The two energies clashed, creating a storm of sparks between them.
His muscles burned, his skin glowed with residual heat, but he refused to back down.
He closed his eyes briefly, focusing. His Chi flared again, but this time, it wasn't just lightning or telekinesis he called upon. He merged them, telekinetic compression amplifying his Chi flow, and lightning accelerating it.
Golden lines appeared across his skin like ancient runes, pulsing with energy. His aura tripled in intensity.
The shadows paused for a moment, but that instance of distraction was enough.
Arthur's figure flickered, and he reappeared between them. His sword moved faster than their sight could track.
One horizontal slash, another diagonal cut. Then a burst of telekinetic force blew outward from him like a bomb.
The impact sent the remaining two shadows flying in different directions with some of their limbs severed due to Arthur's attack.
Arthur floated midair, and pointed his blade upward. 'Judgement!'
Dozens of mana lances formed above him again, but this time, Chi and lightning threaded through each one, fusing their power into something beyond the previous spell. The air warped from the sheer energy output.
The two shadows raised their healed hands simultaneously, forming identical arrays of dark lances.
Then both sides unleashed their attacks, and the collision was apocalyptic.
The light was so blinding that even Arthur's enhanced vision blurred.
The ground of the white void cracked open. And when the storm finally subsided, Arthur stood at the center, blood dripping from his lip. Around him, nothing but silence and a mixture of golden and black mist remained.
Slowly, the mist parted, revealing the two shadows, barely holding form. Their bodies flickered as if they were unstable, and their dark outlines breaking apart.
Arthur gripped his sword and whispered, "Goodbye."
He swung his sword once. A wave of golden Chi tore through the air, consuming all two shadows in a single, final flash.
Arthur exhaled slowly, his aura dimming. He straightened, rolling his neck as the cuts on his body healed. "…How many more, Oracle?"
The sword spirit chuckled quietly. 'Impressive, lad. I didn't know I would get to see the fusion of Chi and Mana again.'
Arthur lifted a brow. "So there is a proper technique for it, I thought it was just a coincidence."
The sword spirit replied, 'The previous era held a lot of secrets, lad. But I think you should focus on what is happening in front of you first.'
The white void vibrated, but instead of any more figures appearing a staircase appeared in the ground going towards an unknown underground chamber.
Arthur didn't hesitate and went towards the stairs.
