Sophia and Steph decided to introduce their friends to their parents because the others had been curious about them. The meeting went well, and Lydia and Pete were quite interested in them and asked many questions to get to know them better.
"So, you are the first individual Sophia met after coming to this world, if I understood everything correctly?" After Lydia and Pete got to know the group and learned about their relationships with their sisters, the two got a little overwhelmed, so Sophia took her parents and Fen to a different room because she wanted to tell them more about the wolf in question while also reluctantly handing Sari back to her father. There, her mother immediately got curious again.
"That is the case." The tiger nodded while smiling at him. "I thought he wanted to eat me when I first ran into him."
"Is that really the impression you want your parents to have about me?" The wolf just stared at her.
"I thought you don't like being taken lightly, so I assumed you'd like this?" Sophia cutely tilted her head to the side.
"Since when do you care about this?"
"…" The tiger went silent for a moment. "I just came to a different world, confused and bewildered, and suddenly ran into a wolf with a shoulder height of way past two meters and a length of easily six or seven meters in your regular form. Said super specimen chose to chase after me when I ran away in a panic. I think it was valid for me to have assumed to be eaten soon."
"I already told you that it was a misunderstanding!" Fen raised his voice. "I sensed your magic and the lack of hostility, which, to me, seemed like you wanted to play! That was the only logical reason back then with your power levels!"
"Ehehe~."
"Haa…"
"Our daughter bickering with a speaking wolf wasn't on my bingo card, either." Pete continued to be surprised by the situation.
"We're good at that." Fen and Sophia perfectly synced.
"You've made some great friends in this world, haven't you?" Lydia also liked their exchange.
"The best, yes!" The tiger reacted with an overly enthusiastic nod.
"Is there a chance you could tell us a more uncensored version of Sophia's adventure?" The tiger's mother looked at the wolf with a questioning expression. "We've heard a few things, but everyone seems to be full of praise for our daughter. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about that, and I'm sure they aren't lying, but I have a feeling they're omitting some details."
"T-They would never!" Sophia's eyes grew wide as panic filled her expression.
"Heh." The wolf's voice turned full of smugness. "I don't even know where to start~."
"Don't you dare!"
"You don't want me to lie to your parents now, do you?" He looked right at her.
"…" She had no grounds to defend herself there and could only hang her head.
"I'd very much appreciate you starting from the very beginning." Lydia smiled at him.
"With as many details as possible." Pete nodded along.
"Gladly!" The wolf was having a great time, and it was only getting better when he saw the crestfallen expression of the tiger next to him. "Well, as we already mentioned, our first meeting was a bit of an odd one based on a misunderstanding. Once we got to know each other, we immediately got along, though. She's quite the interesting individual, after all."
"Was there any need to pronounce interesting the way you did it?" Sophia started pouting.
"Yes." Fen simply nodded. "Her magic powers were most fascinating, and teaching her how to use them was highly rewarding. Seeing her enjoy it so much rekindled my passion for it, as well."

"Yes, his teachings are the reason I turned out the way I did." The tiger jumped at the first chance of an excuse.
"I merely supported your natural tendency for chaos."
"…"
"She was a quick learner, and her insights from a different world she tried to translate to magic were quite the experience, and I'm glad we ran into each other. Her personality, while rather complicated to get used to, at least in the beginning days, was a breath of fresh air for me, too. I also was in a bit of a tough spot when we met, and she was a great distraction that formed into an invaluable friendship."
"Aww, that's so great you two found each other!" Lydia was moved. "Why were you concerned about him telling us?!" She then glared at her daughter. "This is just nice!"
"Should I now tell you about the time when she almost destroyed the world we live in outside this place?"
"The time when we almost destroyed it by accident!" The tiger had to add some crucial corrections to his statement.
"H-Huh?!" Her parents didn't take that too well.
"Haa…" Sophia covered her face with her hands in resignation.
"We experimented with magic, and she lost control over it." Fen had no intention of letting her go. "It went so catastrophically wrong that the magic grew so big it reached a point where it would've destroyed the continent and or world if it wasn't stopped in time. Thankfully, someone saved us."
"N-No way." The tiger's parents couldn't believe it.
"It only happened because my magic is special, okay?!" She tried to defend herself. "When I was gifted magic by the person who brought me to this world, he forgot to give it some safety features that magic normally has. It's normally impossible for magic to go out of control like that because the world doesn't allow it." Sophia was doing some damage control. "I'm not making it up, either. It was confirmed to me by the person who oversees and manages magic. So, there's no danger to regular magic users!"
"That is indeed the case." The wolf backed her up. "What about the times when you blew up an underground dungeon and the entire plain above it? The lake you turned into permanent ice? The many craters on our path? The various redesigns of entire biomes? The continuous borrowing of landscapes? All the headaches you're causing? The permanent destruction of common sense of everyone near you? The…"
"The last part is partly your fault!" Sophia stopped him from running his mouth even further.
"I regret nothing~." He just gave her a smug smirk.
"It sounds like someone needs supervision?" Pete could only come to this conclusion.
"Many have tried, even more have failed." Fen shook his head.
"Rather than many, I was thinking about you." Her father looked right at the wolf. "It's the teacher's job to ensure his pupil's manners, is it not?"
"Heh." The tiger liked this turn of events.
"No need for you to be smug there." Pete briefly glanced at his daughter. "You're old enough to have some self-discipline, as well."
"…" She quickly went silent again.
"In theory, if I were a regular teacher tasked with the duty of educating the masses, I'd be inclined to agree." Fen looked back at the tiger's father. "I just found a lost girl in the middle of nowhere, though. I taught her how to have fun with magic. Nothing more, nothing less. Her recklessness was half the reason I enjoyed teaching her."
"Hmm, yeah, I can't really fault you for that." Pete scratched his cheek.
"Also, being reckless and ever-so-slightly eccentric without anyone stopping you, your creativity overflows, as well. She caused many headaches thanks to the things she came up with, but if you ask around, not a single person would complain about the things she came up with to better the quality of life of everyone in this world."
"Grr!" Sophia glared at him. "I still don't like being called eccentric! No matter how true it is, very, I still don't enjoy it!"
"My deepest apologies, princess." He lowered his head in return.
"No respect whatsoever!" The princess knew perfectly well that he was just messing around.
"Well, we get along because we think alike." Fen wasn't feeling much respect from her, either.
"Fair."
"Is this world alright?" Listening to them, Lydia leaned over to her husband with a slightly concerned expression.
"I wonder." He wasn't so sure about it, either.
"It absolutely is!" Sophia raised her voice. "Our group isn't a good indicator of how most of the world works! Also, I've since learned the limits of magic, so me going cataclysmic in that world won't ever happen again. Unless I have to protect something and or someone dear to me, that is!"
"I guess that's almost reasonable." Pete had no better reply.
"Isn't that also the motto you're striving for lately?" The wolf then looked at the striped girl next to him. "Trying hard to become almost reasonable, that is."
"I can't wait for Maya to beat you up in the match she wants to have with you."
"Whenever she's ready~." Fen's voice became smugger again. "I'm not sure that outcome will happen, though."
"Maybe I'll charge her up with some extra magic right before the match." Sophia wanted to have some sass beaten out of the wolf.
"Anyway, she's a wild one, but she has a good heart." Fen ignored the tiger and turned to face her parents instead. "She's still young, so there's nothing to worry about."
"But you're old and not any better!" Sophia was touched for precisely one second before she changed her mind.
"Do you want me to help you or not?"
"A-Ah." She hadn't thought about that.
Naturally, the duo continued to bicker for a good while longer, so Lydia and Pete decided to use this chance to let things sink in a bit because a lot was happening all at once, and it was starting to get the better of them. The two in front of them definitely weren't helping in that situation, either.
