Boosted Continuation – A new world (GL)

Chapter 204 – Kel

Sophia and Mira had an interesting conversation about a dragon called Kelrax, and the blonde learned a lot more about her domain. It turned out that the prolonged exposure to her domain was supplying her friends with higher-quality magic, which caused their authority to grow faster and bigger than it was supposed to. The tiger also started playing with the idea of inviting the dragon to her domain while they were at it.

"Okay, now that mom and dad are updated, let's see if I can make a new friend~." The day following her conversation with Mira, and after she and her sister went to inform their parents of the overseer's intent to meet them to have a chat and gift them the language of the world, Sophia was back in her domain and relocated to an empty part of it.

"Should I prepare something?" She looked around while scratching her cheek. "He's a big one, so I need some space and a massive portal. Also, desert or not, he's supposed to be an aquatic dragon, right? I'm sure he'd appreciate some water." Saying so, she created a circular body of water with a diameter of around 250 meters around her, with a roughly five-meter-wide island in the middle where she was standing. There, the tiger pulled a white plastic chair out of her inventory that she had in there for some reason and sat down on it.

"It might be a little cramped for what I detected in the lake, but if he wants more, he can do it himself." She let out a small chuckle. "I wonder if I'm going to regret this." Sophia paused for a moment and thought about her plan. "Well, I'm literally untouchable in here, and the rules I put into place for my domain make it impossible for someone to harm anyone, so there's no way it could turn out dangerous. Emotional damage could be an issue, though. Then again, it's not an ice dragon." She shuddered just thinking about that.

"I also should make sure that only he can pass through the portal and not everything. It would be kinda bad if I were to accidentally drain the lake by sucking out all the water through my portal…" She came across a slightly important detail that needed to be taken into consideration.

"Okay, let's see how this will end!" Clapping once, the blonde created a massive portal with a diameter of around 50 meters hovering above the water in front of her that was linked to the one inside the oasis lake. "From what my detection magic told me, he didn't have any wings and was kinda serpent-like, so this should be big enough." Then, she leaned back in the plastic chair while crossing her legs and waited for something to happen.

"Mmhhh…" Around 15 minutes had passed since then, but nothing had happened yet. "Is he shy? It didn't sound like it when Mira described him. A shy dragon would be kinda cute, though." She started smiling mid-sentence. "Then again, I'd also be wary when a magic-infused stone suddenly changed into a purple thing with a diameter of 50 meters. I guess it's taking a while to decide whether or- Ah!" The blonde wasn't able to finish her thought as her portal began to distort.

Instantly after, a massive dragon head poked through the portal. He had dark green eyes, and his head was covered in light-blue scales, as well as two long horns growing backward behind his head. Between the lining of his scales, various aurora-like colors were shimmering, giving him a sparkly finish. Once he had orientated himself, the dragon opened his enormous mouth to let Sophia appreciate his gigantic teeth. Not only was his head much bigger than a building, but each of his teeth was also far bigger than Sophia as a whole. He didn't give her too much time to appreciate them, though, because he let out an earth-shattering and ear-destroying roar afterward.

"Why are all my friends so loud?" Even though her eyes were sparkling from the fascinating and fantasy-like spectacle in front of her, Sophia tried to play the cool girl. The dragon had yet to pay any attention at all to her, though, and finally pushed fully through the portal. The tiger might've misjudged the size of the water she created because his body easily exceeded 300 meters in length. His snake-like serpent body had the same light-blue base scales with bigger and lighter, almost white, ones on his underside. On the entire length of his back was a yellow fin, which was lined with waves of shimmering orange, purple, blue, and pink light. The same light also shone from between the gaps of his scales over his entire body. He was a rather flashy dragon, all things considered.

"Mira was definitely right, he's quite impressive." Sophia was a big fan of his looks. "This might be my most otherworldly experience yet. Gosh, I love this place!" Saying so, the tiger continued to watch the obscenely large shadow circling beneath the water surface around her little island.

"WHO ARE YOU?" The dragon eventually stopped circling around, and his head surfaced right before the tiger. From there, he got closer to her and menacingly stared at her while showing off his teeth once more. Up close, they were even more impressive, and it became clear that they were even bigger than they initially seemed, as they were closer to twice her size. He had a lot of them, too. Roughly 20 to 25 on his upper and lower jaw each, to be slightly more precise.

"Could you use a little less bass in your voice?" As she sat in her white chair, Sophia had covered her ears with her hands because his voice was rather intense, just like more or less everything about him. "It actually hurts, you know? Also, isn't one supposed to introduce oneself before asking the name of others?"

"I apologize for the discomfort." While still incredibly deep and roary, his voice had become a lot less gut-wrenching. "You are the one who invited me to this place, are you not? I think it's even more common courtesy for them to start introductions, are they not?"

"You know, fair enough." The blonde lightly scratched her cheek as there was nothing she could say there. "My name is Sophia, and I own this place. I'm glad you accepted my invitation and came for a visit."

"It's hard to say no to a type of magic I've never seen before. Curiosity got the better of me there." He lightly moved his eyes to glance at the portal. "Anyway, I go by the name of Kelrax, but I do not mind the abbreviation of Kel. It is interesting to meet you."

"Haha, same!" Sophia had to chuckle at his wording. "Curiosity, huh? What if this was a trap, though?" Her expression changed into a slight smirk.

"Haha." He raised his massive head to tower over the tiny tiger and narrowed his eyes with the intent of intimidating her. "Have you looked at me at all? Unknown magic trick or not, there aren't many things or people that could put as much as a scratch on me."

"Does this place look like it's made by someone ordinary?" The blonde wasn't the least bit intimidated. Her being literally untouchable in her domain gave her quite the confidence boost. "Have you looked at me at all?" She returned the question. "I think I could put a dent in you. Sure, you've boosted yourself by infusing your body with the magic ore, but I know a thing or two about boost, myself." While saying all of this, she was still sitting in her plastic chair with her legs crossed.

"HOW do you know about that?!" He seemed genuinely shocked, and his voice became more powerful again, as well.

"Your voice is something else." The tiger lightly shuddered.

"WHO are YOU?" Kel moved his head right in front of the blonde and used his left eye to stare at her at point-blank range. His eye alone also was vastly bigger than Sophia as a whole.

"Just your friendly neighborhood tiger~." She simply smiled at him, or rather, his eye.

"Hold on, I recognize this magic of yours…" He continued to stare at Sophia for a while as he seemingly concentrated on her very being. "That can't be… Only he should be wielding this magic. Wait, are you Canir's daughter?" Kel then paused for a second before his entire body shuddered. "My condolences."

"Ahaha, I think I like you." Sophia loved his last remark and let out yet another hearty chuckle. "No, I am thankfully not his daughter."

"Why can I sense his magic inside of you, then?"

"While I'm not related to him, I still consider him a friend to whom I owe a lot." Sophia wasn't sure how to word it properly. "He saved my life and gifted me a small portion of his magic."

"That raises more questions than it answers, but it explains how you know about my infusions." Kel sounded slightly confused as he put a little more distance between his head and the tiger.

"Mira's actually the one who told me about it because I was confused over how you have more authority than should be possible."

"You sure have some connections there." Kel seemed impressed. "I am quite grateful that she let me keep my enhanced powers after I found a loophole in her system."

"Well, it would be quite the waste as you look stunning with the shimmering ore effect~." She gave the eye-candy dragon a thumbs-up. "She also told me that she likes being challenged, so she's a bit of a fan."

"That's great to hear." He reacted with a nod before staring at the blonde once more. "Be it as it may, while you using Canir's magic is impressive, even though it seems above the threshold, it still doesn't feel like you have all that much of his powers. I still doubt you could scratch me in a fight if we go back to the trap topic."

"I'm confident in saying that I'd be able to beat you without ever being touched by you," Sophia smirked at him again.

"Aren't we rather FULL of ourselves?" The bass in his voice increased once more.

"Try me~." The tiger, as she continued to lazily sit on her white plastic chair, lifted her arm and made a come at me gesture with her hand while looking right at the massively oversized dragon towering in front of her. "I'll let you have some fun~." She went ahead and paused her domain rule of no one being allowed to intentionally harm anyone, so that he wouldn't get stopped.

A literal instant later, the small island the blonde had been on exploded and disintegrated into particles smaller than dust.
