Boosted Continuation – A new world (GL)

Chapter 220 – Problems solved and plans planned

Lydia and Pete wanted to learn even more about the world their oldest daughters now live in and kept asking questions that Mira and Fey happily answered. Until the topic of how they raised their daughter Chloe, which caused things to become a little awkward, as the foxes made some mistakes with that. Even so, the couple learned a great deal and received the blessing of the world's language, as well as a small portion of Sophia's magic, meaning they'd be ready to explore from now on.

"Let's play lots today, Sari!"

"Gaahh~!" Two days had passed since Lydia and Pete had met Chloe's parents, and Sophia was currently taking care of her baby sister, who was in her arms as usual. She was with them because today was the day when the sisters' parents met up with Maya's to explore the beastfolk capital, and having Sari with them would be too distracting.

"I'm surprised you aren't planning to stalk them." Maya, Chloe, and Steph were also with them, and the cat-girl looked at the tiger.

"True!" The fox nodded a few times.

"We'd never do that!" The blonde rapidly shook her head before looking at Steph.

"Exactly!" She felt the same. "That's what we have Anna and Ari for!"

"Ahh, so that's why they're not with us." Chloe lightly rolled her eyes.

"They're only there in case something happens, okay?" Sophia tried to play it down a little.

"Sure." Maya didn't believe her. "Well, to be fair, I really can't blame you for wanting it to go well. After all, it's quite important for them and you."

"Thank you very much." The blonde was happy she understood.

"By the way, what is the plan if they do decide to move to our world?" Chloe was curious about the next steps.

"Good question." Steph smiled at her.

"An excellent one, even." Sophia did the same.

"You two have no idea, do you?" It wasn't hard for the fox to see through them.

"That would be pretty on brand for the two, though." The cat-girl didn't see the reason to be surprised there.

"That's true."

"I mean, what do you want to hear?" Steph stared at her fox. "It's not like we can really plan much in the first place, as everything is completely reliant on our parents."

"That's a solid argument, I guess?" Maya scratched her cheek. "Is that going to work out, though?"

"She has a point." Chloe pointed at the cat-girl while looking at the sisters. "Let's assume your parents will migrate to this world. What are you going to do? For example, if they come to you and say, 'We love this place, and we'd like to stay', will you just go like, 'Great, good luck!'?"

"N-No…!" The bigger sisters awkwardly looked at each other before shaking their heads. Sari also imitated the last part because she wanted to be a part of it.

"You two probably should invest some time on that." The pink fox smiled at the two. "I'll gladly help, too."

"Same." Maya nodded along.

"Thanks!" The dog-girl was glad that they could count on them.

"What do you think, Sari?" Sophia looked down at the baby in her arms.

"Nah!" She pressed her little head against her sister's chest.

Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.

"Good point." The tiger gave her a gentle squeeze. "They definitely need a comfy place to sleep. I don't think that'll be much of an issue, though." She lightly shook her head. "The mansion in the capital still has some free rooms they could stay in for the time being. Actually, aside from using it to meet a few people from the capital or as a transit place, we barely go there at all anymore. I doubt that's going to change anytime soon, either. They could completely take it over for all I care. I also have no concern with money whatsoever, so I could easily buy them their own house if they prefer that. Yeah, I don't think a place for them to stay is something we have to fret over."

"See?! We totally planned this out!" Steph got smug on Sophia's behalf.

"It pays out to be rich, huh?" Maya rolled her eyes.

"Literally!" The blonde gave her a thumbs-up. "That also means they won't need to get a job immediately to provide for themselves, either."

"Yup! All they really have to do is to decide whether or not they want to change their looks to better blend in and in what way." Steph paused for a moment. "As much as I'll do my best to talk my dad into becoming a fellow dog, that won't be our decision to make, so we can't make any plans regarding that."

"Aren't you two glad that everything keeps lining up the way you want it?" Chloe couldn't believe how easy everything was for them.

"Big fan, yes!"

"It's great!"

"Dah!" All three sisters showed no sign of being humble. Naturally, Sari was just picking up on the intonation of the other two and wanted to copy them, but their relation to each other kept getting clearer with each passing moment.

"There's still a bit of an issue with your full family background and all that." Maya scratched her cheek. "As well as how they're going to look if they decide to add some animal features, especially as Sophia's a tiger, which comes with all sorts of additions. Even more so if we take the royal family into account."

"Well, that's her issue alone." Steph shrugged as she looked at her striped sister. "I honestly couldn't care less. I would have no problems with telling the king that I'm from a different world. However, I support Sophia's decision, as she has managed to build an amazing life, and it causes no demerits for me, so I'm okay with keeping it a secret. I don't care enough about keeping it up to come up with plans and a story for Mom and Dad, though."

"Fair enough." Maya and Chloe couldn't blame her for that.

"Urgh." The blonde hung her head. "Well, playing along with my story, or the lack of it, as I'm just dodging things by technically telling the truth, is enough for me. Thankfully, Pete is technically my stepfather, so as long as I can make everyone believe my biological father was a tiger, it can work. I also heard that, tigers aside, kids don't always take after their direct parents when it comes to animal features in the beastfolk, but they can also represent traits from someone further up in the family tree. Neither of them should become tigers for various reasons, but other than that, everything should be fine."

"Also, I doubt Mom and Dad would be much into the idea of meeting the King and Queen of the beastfolk anytime soon in the first place." Steph doubted they'd like that overly much.

"That is also very true." Sophia agreed with her. "The two should be fine with getting used to everything at their own pace while maybe adding some fluff to themselves and or Sari before ever getting involved with stuff like that."

"Bam! Problems solved and plans planned!" Sounding extra smug, the dog-girl looked at Chloe and Maya while giving them a thumbs-up.

"Hah…" The two only reacted with a sigh.

"Alright, playtime!" Sophia had enough of the topic that had been fully taken care of and wanted to spend more time with Sari as she lightly patted her head while saying so.

"Ya~!" The little girl liked that.

"What are you going to do with her?" Chloe got curious about her plan with the baby.

"Kel's going absolutely crazy with his sea, so I wanted to show it to her." She smiled at Sari in her arms. "She has obviously never seen an ocean before, so her first one definitely has to be one with a massive dragon swimming around in it in the distance. I've also put a bit of the oasis area I borrowed from the desert, and began creating a beach to go along with the water. It's time for Sari's first sandcastle!"

"LET'S GO!" Hearing that, Steph got incredibly excited.

"Are you that happy for Sari…?" Maya was a little surprised by her extreme reaction.

"She just wants to dig around in the sand and make her own sandcastle." Chloe lightly rolled her eyes again while explaining the situation to the cat-girl.

"Ahh, yeah, that makes sense." She stared at the dog-girl, whose tail was wagging from side to side even more energetically than usual.

"I am also excited about witnessing my little sister's first play in the sand!" Steph pretended to be hurt by their evaluation.

"Sure thing, my dear." The fox only let out a small chuckle.

"Grr!" She didn't appreciate that, either.

"Grr~." Sari tried her best to imitate her older sister's growl.

"Aww!" Everyone liked that.

"Okay, let's head to the beach to play!" Sophia smiled at the baby in her arms again. "You might get to see Uncle Kel, as well."

"Yeh~!" She still had no idea what was going on, but Sari was definitely getting hyped up.

"Let's go!"

Having decided on what to do for the rest of the day while the sisters' parents were exploring the beastfolk capital together with Theo and Eve, the girls headed over to the dragon's sea inside the domain to play on the beach there.
