As these realizations dawned on her, she realised that it was only a matter of time before her sister and the whole clan ended up like her.

She had to warn them.

But then it hit her, she was losing consciousness.

She was dying.

She didn't know that the harbinger of her current state, the one she thought was actively standing infront of her and observing her end with an enjoyable sadistic smile on his face, was actually sipping a cup of coffee in his room, enjoying her journey to the afterlife, and the visage before her was a visual hallucination of him, conjured from a hallucinogenic alchemical product.

As for Kailen, he felt satisfied.

This may not have been like the open brutal confrontation, and the trouble he'd planned to instigate with realeasing the confession video he had taken from her disciples when he used the art of torture skill on them, like had planned earlier, but it was equally satisfying.

" If I release the videos now, with the content, her death can be traced back to me. This outcome is however better.

Of course, a couple of persons will speculate the outcome.

But there's no proof that I'm behind this. It's not like there's a recording of me holding her neck and killing her.

Even after I reveal my capability as a Black Flask during the society wars, it still doesn't change the fact there's no proof of me killing her. The academy can't do shit to me "

Kailen sipped another cup of his coffee, and chewed some biscuits in addition- as if what he had just done was a casual stroll in the park , whiles Enna Harker breathed her last.
