While only a day had passed on the outside, 24 days went by inside the tower.

After the massacre, Kent quickly entered the tower to check up on Ryan's family. He left them in Gaia's capable hands so that he could deal with the Dark Assassin Temple.

The moment he is done, he leaves.

When he arrived, Gaia had already pulled all the top healers in the tower cities and had already attended to the parents and brothers.

The only one left was Navira.

Since she was basically mortal, the healers were taking their time to heal her. If they put too much effort into it, they might hurt her. So they took their dear time.

Thankfully, they managed to save her. However, she passed out afterwards and woke up ten days later.

During those ten days, Kent helped the family settle in. He gave them resources to raise their potential. The parents are Level 5 Spirit Lords, while the big brothers, just like Ryan and Ryen, are Peak Heavenly Ascension stage cultivators.

However, unlike the twins, Beta, the oldest of them all, is a swordsman, and Elio is a spearman.

After a few more chats, Kent found out they had only survived because of the Shadow General, who made the call for Ryan and Ryen to hunt the snake and bring back the scale.

It turned out that Elio once saved his life, so he did his best to save him. Kent felt bad after learning that, so he made the tower search through his kills, and to his relief, that general wasn't part of it.

However, he also wasn't in the Dark City, now Midnight City.

After further investigation from the Tower, it was found out that he ran away, probably to save his skin since the now-dead Dark Lord found out about his connection to Elio.

His heat signature shows he ran to the Gatty Pill City.

Kent plans to use the Midnight Shadows to look for him and bring him to leave the tower. He had earned that much for buying time for Kent to come, even if it wasn't what he intended.

Fate played his bony hands after all.

After Navira woke up, Kent used an ancient method to speed up her healing and help her reach the Peak of the Root Awakening stage. This way, she could heal all internal wounds on her own.

Afterwards, he let her safely break through to the Root Blossom stage. That took her a couple of days.

Kent didn't mind and stayed until she was done, since only a few hours had passed on the outside.

He had no idea why, but a part of him wanted to make sure this family was protected and safe. However, because he had a mission to return to, he spent only 24 days with them.

"Big brother Kent, are you leaving?" Of course, since Kent is that amazing, he may have just found yet another little sister in Navira. Too bad she isn't a shorty like Gaia and the rest.

Looking at her innocent expression, the need to pop down to the underworld and torture the bastards who dared hurt her crossed his mind. However, he just smiled and brushed her hair.

"Yes. I have some things to take care of, so I will be gone for a while. However, you and the little ladies here can have some fun while I am away."

Gaia, of course, brought the whole gang: Gaia herself, Akira, Dori, Yuna, Purity, and Aala. Yes, the little foxy woke up and joined the band of troublemakers.

The only ones missing are Li Hua, who is still in the dungeon with Nyxira, and Nana, who isn't done merging back with all ten pieces of her body she scattered in the ten Pill Worlds.

"Sure," Navira nodded, already happy to spend some time exploring the amazing cities she woke up in. After Kent was done with her, he turned to Ryan and the rest of his family.

"This is now your home. However, if you want to go back to the Dark City, I can take you. The Dark Lord and his family are gone, so there is no threat to your life ever again." Kent placed his left hand on Ryan's shoulder and added, "Just know that this place is open to you all, any day."

They nodded... every last one of them.

"Thank you, Kent," Ryan said, and Kent merely smiled.

"Don't worry about it. Just let Gaia know if you need anything later. She will help you get it." They are grateful to him, so they didn't request much.

However, Elio had a request. "My girlfriend is still in the Dark City. Can I go check up on her once in a while to make sure she is okay?"

Kent nodded and said, "You can bring her here if you want, her family included. Gaia will handle everything."

"Thank you."

After all the necessary stuff was handled, Kent left for the Guardian Tower to see what he could do to protect Midnight City now that the Midnight Shadows were in charge.

He knew an assassin organisation like the Midnight Shadows wasn't cut out to be babysitters of an entire city. They had missions to embark on, and as such, he wouldn't want to keep them grounded.

So, since he had the Guardian Tower and a few rewards to claim there, he went to check that out. It had been a while since he'd purchased anything. Those rewards are yet to be claimed.

He didn't bother going to the Harem Tower or Legion Tower since his wives and Legion had already entered the Planet Killer Dungeon, this time to come out only when Kent is back from his mission.

Vexthra wanted them to clear at least the first 30 floors since they had literal demigods with them. She herself could fight when they reached a floor featuring gods.

Kent told them the dungeon is akin to a unique world,where no limits are placed on the inhabitants.

However, there are some dungeon rules. Every floor has a base and a maximum cultivation limit. If the maximum is the Demigod Stage, then Vexthra would be punished for using her god powers there.

So aside from controlling the battle formations, she can't do anything else. However, when the max cultivation limit is at the God Stage, then she can participate.

Although she is a Pseudo-Supreme, since there is no recognised cultivation stage like that, she can fight Gods inside the dungeon without fear.

So they entered the tower and arrived on the 4th floor where the last time, they handled the Church of Destruction, leaving the God of Demons pissed.

The other Demon gods had been laughing at him ever since. This made him so mad that he put a bounty on Neomi since she was the one who played a key role in that massacre.

His downfall stemmed from her temporary access to her divinity. So he wants her dead, and one day, if he gets his hands on her, he will make sure his fury is satiated.

But then again, when he did, he would find out that aside from the Goddess of Hatred and Resentment backing Neomi, the legendary Primordial Chaos Dragon would also be there, along with several other legendary figures who once shook era-ending battlefields.
