Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 1315: The Mystery of Amnesia (Part 2)

Charlotte's brain structure is no different from a human's, and there is no damage at all. Lin Tian looked for a long time without finding any problems.

"Lin Tian, you've been staring for over ten minutes. Should I suspect you're deliberately taking advantage of me?" Charlotte glanced at Lin Tian, slightly complaining.

Lin Tian withdrew his gaze and shook his head. As he did, a faint black mist flashed inside Charlotte's brain.

"What do you mean by shaking your head?" Charlotte frowned.

"Oh, nothing, you're perfectly normal," Lin Tian replied somewhat perfunctorily, still pondering over what could be wrong with Charlotte.

Charlotte is a vampire, and her internal circulation system is different from ordinary people. Lin Tian wasn't sure if he had overlooked something, as this was his first time examining a vampire.

"Looking at your perfunctory expression, if I were really sick, could I rely on you?" Charlotte said with disdain.

"Vampires don't get sick. If there's an issue, it's man-made," Lin Tian casually replied as he sat back down in his chair.

He was stunned as he said this. Man-made? A thought crossed Lin Tian's mind: vampires couldn't have memory loss due to illness, so it's highly likely that someone intentionally caused her amnesia.

"What are you thinking?" Charlotte asked, with a probing look at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian shook his head, saying, "Nothing, just some random thoughts."

After that, he closed his eyes and didn't speak again, but Charlotte kept her gaze on him, with clouds-like glints flashing in her eyes.

The helicopter flew for a long time. Eventually, Lin Tian heard the loud sound of wind and water. When he opened his eyes, he saw that they were now above the vast ocean.

The sea below churned with waves, occasionally revealing passing cruise ships, and the distant coastline was just a vague line, getting farther away.

"Where are we going? The helicopter's range can't possibly cover crossing the sea," Lin Tian asked curiously.

"You'll know when we get there. Even if the helicopter crashes into the sea, you won't die. So what are you afraid of?" Charlotte gave no specific answer.

"I could curse at you, and you wouldn't die, but that doesn't mean you like being cursed at. Similarly, I might not die if I fall into the sea, but that doesn't mean I like falling into it," Lin Tian retorted.

Charlotte smiled at Lin Tian, then stood up and walked to the porthole, gazing at the distant sea. She said softly, "It's a private island with a nice environment. You'll like it."

"I'd like it more if you gave me your blood," Lin Tian replied coolly.

Charlotte slightly turned her head to look at Lin Tian's profile, still wearing the same smile. "That depends on how cooperative you are."

The conversation circled back to the same issue, so Lin Tian decided not to say anything else. They both had needs from each other; it was just about who would hold out longer.

After flying for another ten minutes, Lin Tian finally saw an island in the sea from the window. Compared to the endless ocean, the island seemed small, but when the helicopter flew over it, its true size became apparent.

By eye estimation, the island covered more than a hundred acres, rising higher in the east and lower in the west. In the east was a mountain with a stream flowing from it into a small lake at the island's center, where most of the buildings were erected.

On the west side was a beach, where the white sand sparkled under the sun. In the south, there was actually an airstrip, with a private jet parked on it. This private jet was painted in blue and white, blending with the sky and sea.

To Lin Tian's surprise, this plane was larger than the Xiao Family's. But on second thought, it made sense. Charlotte might be the secret owner of Bale Bank. Owning a private island, a plane was nothing.

According to previous news reports, the purchase price of an island wasn't really high — not for the wealthy, at least. However, the cost of designing and building on the island was exorbitant, transporting materials from the mainland alone was a hassle.

Seemingly guessing Lin Tian's thoughts, Charlotte introduced, "I bought this island, including the surrounding sea. This is a private territory. Even the authorities in England can't trespass without my permission; otherwise, it would be considered an invasion. I'm entitled to shoot any intruders and sink any invading ships."

"What wicked capitalism!" Lin Tian exclaimed. In Huaxia, such things were impossible. But in the West, not only private islands but even a small house is considered private territory and cannot be invaded.

"When I built this island, I mostly utilized the island's materials. The resources here are richer than you think: valuable timber and hard rocks, all excellent building materials." Charlotte, as the island's lord, diligently introduced the private island.

Soon, the helicopter landed on an empty space beside the airfield. A car was already waiting with a young woman standing in front of it. She had long chestnut hair and was quite beautiful, with an impressive figure; her blouse and skirt perfectly showcased her curves.

When Lin Tian and the others got off the helicopter, the pilot also stepped down and removed her helmet, revealing another long-haired beauty. Lin Tian looked at the two women, then at Charlotte, wondering if the island was entirely populated by women.

Charlotte laughed at Lin Tian's surprised expression. "I told you, you'd like it here. My island is full of beauties. If you become my guardian knight, they all could become your women, even if you change one every day, you wouldn't repeat for a year."

Damn it, it really is an island of women, a beauty island. Lin Tian marveled, thinking few men could resist Charlotte's temptation.

"Lord, don't tempt me. My willpower is weak and I'm prone to fall," Lin Tian joked.

"This isn't about falling. Sitting in that position, these things should be yours to have," Charlotte replied matter-of-factly, not taking it as a joke.

"Lord, I want to ask you a question. Sitting in the lord's position, if you wanted a handsome guy, it'd only take a word. How many men do you keep?" Lin Tian suddenly asked.

Women with power, just like men, are entitled to their desires. Historically, Wu Zetian kept many young and strong concubines in her harem for pleasure. Even when aging, her concubines were never in short supply.

Even earlier, Mi Yue, after her son became emperor, became Empress Dowager and had many concubines. It was said that her favorite, Wei Choufu, was so handsome that when Mi Yue was terminally ill, she decreed that Wei Choufu must be buried with her. It seemed Mi Yue was a predecessor to Wu Zetian in keeping male pets.

Although Charlotte wasn't a queen of a country, her wealth and power were extraordinary, so Lin Tian suspected she had more than a few male pets.
