Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 1367: Sincerely Convinced

Even though Lin Tian had anticipated that zombie blood would cause trouble, he hadn't expected it to be so intense. The medicine that had almost fused was originally mild, but once the zombie blood was added, its properties changed.

The half-fused medicine was like a calm lake, and the zombie blood was like molten lava, rushing into the "lake," making the originally calm "lake" boil.

Lin Tian slightly furrowed his brows, placing both hands on the cauldron. It should be known that the cauldron was now scalding hot; touching it would be like frying salted fish. Rossi and several members of the Blood Clan frowned as they watched.

But Lin Tian not only touched it, he pressed down and didn't let go. At the same time, his palm slightly shook, and the cauldron emitted a buzzing hum. The shockwave rushed towards the fusing medicine, causing it to oscillate rhythmically.

With Lin Tian's intervention, the "offensive" of the zombie blood slowed down. At this moment, Zhang Lingyu's magical formation came into play, with purple energy streams penetrating the cauldron, slowly merging into the medicine.

The "offensive" of the zombie blood paused once more, and the properties of the medicine began to ease, although the process was gradual. Lin Tian controlled the heat, and Zhang Lingyu controlled the magical formation. Under dual influence, the medicinal properties slowly changed.

Charlotte and Rossi, witnessing Lin Tian's complete focus, dared not make a sound to disturb him. Especially Musa, as an alchemist, she knew that at such a crucial moment in potion-making, any mistake could lead to failure.

Time ticked away, and Lin Tian, through clairvoyance, observed the slow changes in the medicine. Initially semi-transparent, as the zombie blood infiltrated and mixed slowly, the medicine gradually tinged red.

From light red to red, then to blood-red. When the medicine turned blood-red, Lin Tian let out a deep breath, his expression relaxing.

He extinguished the flames, removed the fuel, and with a pat on the cauldron, a blob of blood-red potion flew out, fist-sized, glistening eerily under the light. Yet, it did not give off a bloody vibe but rather an aura of richness.

Lin Tian grabbed a specially made glass bottle from the table, swung it horizontally, catching the potion mid-air, and then sealed it.

"Is it finished?" Musa carefully asked.

As an alchemist, she was highly sensitive to potions. The moment the "Blood Angel" potion was ready, she sensed distinctiveness, unlike any "Blood Angel" she had crafted before. She was eager to confirm if it was a success.

Lin Tian raised the glass bottle, inspecting the blood-red potion inside, smiling slightly: "Freshly made Blood Angel, and it's a refined version. It's a success."

Upon hearing Lin Tian's final declaration, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Even Zhang Lingyu, who participated in the crafting, was not entirely confident. Now that it succeeded, she not only felt relieved but also inexplicably happy. Since when had merely completing a task alongside Lin Tian been so fulfilling and joyous for her?

Lin Tian walked up to Charlotte, handing her the refined "Blood Angel," smiling faintly: "Lord, it belongs to you now. Enough for a hundred doses, more than sufficient for your confidants, and it has no side effects."

"Really... for me?" Charlotte asked in disbelief. As Lin Tian's servant, receiving such help from him was unexpected for her.

In the Blood Clan, this was unheard of. High-ranking members always treated servants with enslavement and used them as cannon fodder. When she became Lin Tian's servant, she had envisioned a fate no different from those in the Blood Clan.

But now, she had obtained such precious potions. Didn't she orchestrate such a grand plot in Huaxia just to acquire the Blood Angel? And now, not only did she get it, but it was an improved version. The happiness felt somewhat unreal.

"When I say it's yours, it's yours. When have I, Lin Tian, ever gone back on my word? If you don't want it, I'll throw it into the sea for the fish." Lin Tian said domineeringly.

Musa, being an alchemist, felt a bit tense hearing Lin Tian's words about throwing it into the sea. Such a valuable potion—throwing it away would leave her regretting for life. As a semi-peer to Lin Tian, she understood the difficulty of refining the "Blood Angel."

Charlotte was also startled by Lin Tian's threat, quickly snatching the bottle to her chest. She knew well Lin Tian's straightforward nature; he might just throw the "Blood Angel" into the sea on a whim.

"That's the right thing to do. Don't refuse what your master gives you," Lin Tian joked.

Charlotte, however, did not laugh and kneeled on one knee before Lin Tian, solemnly stating: "Master, I sincerely obey you. I will never disobey your orders again."

"Brother Tian, thank you for helping my sister." Rossi also knelt halfway, expressing gratitude and respect.

"Lord Lin Tian, thank you for helping our lord." Ai Wei also knelt on one knee. With Charlotte leading, the other Blood Clan members knelt as well, leaving Lin Tian feeling speechless.

He waved his hand, saying helplessly: "It's modern society now, this kind of thing isn't done anymore, get up quickly."

Rossi, having known Lin Tian the longest, was most familiar with his personality and preferences. Hence, he was the first to stand, followed by Charlotte, and then the rest.

"Charlotte, gather your subordinates quickly. Have them ingest the Blood Angel while I'm still on the island. If any issues arise, they can be resolved promptly. Although there shouldn't be any issues, just in case." Lin Tian instructed.

Charlotte nodded in agreement, then turned to Ai Wei: "Gather all team members in the training room immediately."

"Yes." Ai Wei acknowledged the command and swiftly turned to leave.

Charlotte then said to Lin Tian: "Master, please proceed to the training room."

Under Charlotte's lead, Lin Tian and his group left the lab and headed to the said training room. The training room wasn't far from the lab, and at their pace, they reached a building in a few minutes.

Although the building was only five stories tall, its area was larger than Charlotte's villa. When Lin Tian's group arrived, Ai Wei was already waiting at the entrance.

Ai Wei stepped forward, bowing to both Charlotte and Lin Tian: "Lord Lin Tian, Lord, the Dark Moon Team is assembled. What are your instructions?"

"Dark Moon Team?" Lin Tian paused.

The name indicated it wasn't an ordinary Blood Clan squad. Ordinary Blood Clan combat teams didn't have titles. For example, the teams led by Luo Lin and Reya didn't have titles, or the core team wasn't deployed in the last battle.

Indeed, only stronger core teams were given titles by leaders. A title was a squad's honor and a form of cohesion. This applies to both human armies and Blood Clan combat squads.
