My Sexy Female CEO

Chapter 273 Canceling the Engagement

After calming his emotions, he walked toward An Qi, who was sitting at the office desk, with a smile all over his face. To secure these two sexy beauties, he first had to carry out his plan properly.

"What are you here for?" An Qi asked impatiently as she flipped through a file.

To be honest, if it weren't for the Zhao Family lending her family those five billion, she wouldn't want to give Zhao Ritian a single glance.

"I have some good news for you," Zhao Ritian answered mysteriously.

"What good news could you possibly bring me? It'd be great if you don't bring me bad luck," An Qi said with a cold smirk, full of sarcasm.

"What are you talking about, am I that bad?" Zhao Ritian said, at a loss for words.

"If you're not bad, then there are no bad people in this world. Just tell me, what's the good news?" An Qi didn't want to waste her breath and asked directly.

"I want to annul our engagement," Zhao Ritian announced, clearly enunciating each word.

Those words shocked even Zhou Jiajia, who sat working at the side of the room. She hadn't expected the ever-indulgent Zhao Ritian to willingly let go of the beautiful and seductive An Qi, which she found quite incomprehensible.

As the person involved, An Qi was even more surprised and confused. She thought she had misheard, so she leaned closer and asked, "What? Say that again?"

"I said! I want to cancel our engagement!" Zhao Ritian reiterated earnestly.

He wore a broad smile, showing no sign of regret or sorrow.

This time, An Qi heard him loud and clear. Though a part of her felt a pinch to her pride at being abandoned by such a scumbag, deep down, she was overjoyed; she was finally free from this annoying pest.

However, without seeing solid proof, she remained skeptical and asked, "Are you joking, or are you serious?"

"I'm serious, and I brought the agreement," he said. Then Zhao Ritian took out a handwritten agreement from a briefcase and handed it over to An Qi for inspection.

An Qi quickly took the agreement and scrutinized it word by word; to her delight, she found that Zhao Ritian truly intended to cancel their engagement.

"I can't believe it! Really, I can't! Ha ha!"

Amidst her happiness, she noticed a minor issue: the agreement didn't just involve the two of them, but also implicated their two companies; however, this did not affect the authenticity of the content of the agreement.

"Well? I didn't lie to you, did I?" Zhao Ritian asked with a smile; he appeared very happy throughout, with no trace of sadness.

"Did you draft this agreement yourself, or did your father agree to it?" An Qi was still a bit uneasy and needed to be sure.

The happiness had come so suddenly, it felt almost dreamlike, unreal.

"Of course, my father agreed to it. Haven't you seen my family company's seal on it?" answered Zhao Ritian.

An Qi took a look and indeed noticed a seal on the bottom left corner of the agreement; however, the seal was black, not red. But judging by its font, shape, angle, and position, it was indeed genuine and not a forgery; truly the Zhao corporation's seal.

Reassured by this, she said, "Alright! I'll grant your wish!"

She immediately picked up a pen and signed her name.

After signing, when she tried to hand over a copy of the agreement to Zhao Ritian, he refused, "You haven't stamped your seal yet."

"Why would I need to stamp the company seal when I'm annuling an engagement with you?" An Qi asked, puzzled.

"This engagement isn't just between the two of us, but also involves both our companies. Didn't you see that my father stamped it? So, you better stamp it as well. Otherwise, it will be difficult for me to explain when I go back," Zhao Ritian explained.

After thinking it over, An Qi felt Zhao Ritian made sense, so she picked up the nearby seal and stamped it down.

Watching the seal firmly stamped onto the document, Zhao Ritian's worried heart finally opened up with joy; now he had lured the fish onto the hook.

With two copies of the agreement stamped, An Qi handed one to Zhao Ritian and said, "Now it's OK, right?"

"It's okay!" Zhao Ritian responded readily.

"Then hurry back and report it. Don't get in the way of my work!" An Qi urged him away with annoyance.

"Of course! Of course!" Zhao Ritian left, excited.

Watching Zhao Ritian leave with high spirits, Zhou Jiajia left her seat, walked over to An Qi, and asked curiously, "An Qi, is Zhao Ritian really going to annul your engagement? Could there be some kind of trick?"

"It shouldn't be, the writing is on the paper, and there are signatures and the seal, it should be genuine," An Qi handed over the engagement cancellation agreement for Zhou Jiajia to examine.

Zhou Jiajia inspected it carefully and saw no issues. However, staring at the strange agreement of engagement annulment, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off; with technology so advanced now, why not just print it out? And there was something peculiar about the black seal.

With doubts in her heart, she returned the agreement to An Qi and quietly returned to her seat to work.

An Qi also filed away the agreement and worked in peace.

Outside the office, seeing Zhao Ritian's smile as he walked out, Lin Yifan was extremely puzzled. He had no idea what had just happened inside the office.

So, he picked up his phone and sent a message to An Qi to inquire.

Upon seeing An Qi's reply that Zhao Ritian was just discussing the annulment of their engagement, he was shocked. The always lecherous Zhao Ritian, how could he easily let go of the stunning An Qi? It was impossible.

Thus, he asked An Qi again, filled with concern, if there was any catch. The reply he received was that there was absolutely no problem, which baffled him even more.

"Could it really be true?"

Lin Yifan was puzzled, but at this point, he had no choice but to believe it. After all, no one wanted the engagement annulled more than An Qi; she would most certainly double-check and review carefully. Now that An Qi said there was no problem, there likely wasn't any.

Not long after, the company closed for the day.

At that time, An Qi bounded out of the office, bursting with joy, even happier than if she had won the jackpot in the lottery.

"Big pervert, Jiajia, let's go! Tonight I'll treat you two to a big meal, we won't go home until we are drunk!"

"Sure! Time for a feast!" Lin Yifan responded readily.

An Qi escaping from her engagement with Zhao Ritian was indeed a good reason to celebrate.

Zhou Jiajia had no objections, but every time she thought about the black writing and the black seal, she couldn't help but feel anxious.

"Hope it's real!" she sighed, then followed closely behind.
