After the talk with the pretty bartender, I went out and headed to the place where Reddy and I had agreed upon.
Reddy was busy with her work, but she was going to drop by and have some lunch with me before we could go and get the final sum of my first adventure settlement from the [City Bank].
The party had made the deal with the association, but the settlements happened to the bank instead of in person for larger sums, and since I needed to visit the bank one of these days anyway, this was the perfect time.
"Here! Here! Reddy~!"
The place I was in, the outdoor cafe near the city gates, was pretty close to Reddy. The bank was also conveniently close to this place, so the two of us were going to go there once we had a fulfilling lunch.
"Qwy~!"
Once I spotted Reddy in her professional attire of a certified witch with her perfect cone hat, my little baby, who had been awfully close to Vice, jumped and dashed to Reddy.
She seemed extremely happy to see her once again.
And Reddy was also happy to see Qwy as she caught the flying eyeball and hugged her instantly, a scene of a mother reuniting with her dear daughter.

The plaza was full of people at this time of day, and the place was, though not too crowded, filled with people who enjoyed their own lunch.
Sight of a strange eyeball with wings had been an eyesore to some who did not like the creatures and the monsters of the dungeon. There were some who were talking ill behind our backs in a voice loud enough for us to hear, but we avoided them.
'At the end of the day, these were common people who lived a common life under the protection of the adventurers and people like Reddy who kept their limited worlds safe from worldly dangers.'
It has not been that long since I came to this world and to this city, but I know just how peaceful this city's common life is compared to the life inside the dungeon or outside the city, places like that forest not too far from the city.
The common people here are too happy, as if they had not seen much of anything that is happening outside of their small world.
The ones who live by selling things off to the adventurers, those who know nothing more than what they had done their entire lives, those who don't go out of the city much, and those who are limited to the certain sections of the city are so limited in their view of everything around them that it's surprising how they even live to me.
'With the help of Qwey, over the nights, I had been watching over the city.'
I was able to learn a lot of things thanks to Qwy and her sensory sharing. And thanks to her, I have come to understand just how much the common people in the city don't know about the world around them.
"Haha, she seems energetic today." Reddy came and sat down beside me, ignoring all the stares around us as well.
The people here were simply not used to seeing the monsters or abnormal things. This part of the city, around the walls, wasn't frequented by the adventurers much.
The central area of the city was much different from the other parts of the city.
To begin with, the city was a big place. There were just so many things here that if you start from one end of the city at dawn, you'd need more than a few days to reach the other end.
'There was good public transportation that made things easier here.'
There were public carriages run by beasts that were more efficient than normal horses, tracks enchanted with magic that almost made the public carriages cable city buses, and there were also the other modes of transportation– like the sky.
"She's happy since we had a good bath today. I finally caught Vice today as well. Bastard was trying to run away, but after talking with him, he surely seems like a fun one."
Reddy was the first one, someone who could fly, someone who saved me when I was almost dying before starting my dear journey in this world.
But she wasn't the only one. While rare, there were ways to 'fly' within the city and between them.
The most fun part? There were airships and creatures that you can fly on– the so-called flying mounts of the isekai.
"Oho? You finally caught him? And what was that? Vice is pretty fun? Haha, when you get to know him a little more, you'll realise he's just like an old grandpa, Aria." Reddy laughed as if what I had said just now was hilarious.
It seemed like there was quite a bit I still didn't know about this Vice, the pretty elf bartender. Was it just the name that was vice, or were there vices to this Vice that I needed to be aware of?
He is fun, surely. He's also someone pretty experienced with women, unlike Reddy. He is also pretty strong, even though he tries to hide it. He's not like Cass to have the image of an obvious or weak individual.
He is also an Elf, so he should be a born elementalist, and if he has lived in the human world, fought in war, stayed with nobles, and survived against the so-called pinnacle of mortality, an actual witch, he is bound to be pretty strong.
"Hmmm… he's surely Old, but if we count in elven age, he should be the same age as me, right?" Reddy looks mature for her age, but she's younger than me. Cass is also younger, while Vice would be just a little older than me if we compare the age difference in race.
There's so much I can learn from someone like that.
I need the knowledge and experience of someone who has gone around this world anyway, so…
"I think I'll see more of him from now on." I knew it, it wasn't just a feeling, but someone I simply knew.
He was obviously interested in me, and the only reason he was avoiding me all this time was because he didn't want to get in trouble.
'And I don't want to hurt someone that might be strong enough to kill me.'
Not someone like him, at least.
Not someone who was already in pain…
