God of Technology: Creating the Internet in Another World

Chapter 119: Painting It Red

Viscount Roster seemed to have learned well from Ren. After reaching the deal, he moved fast, quickly mobilizing all kinds of resources to spread the news that Grano was also starting to use Magic Conductors. In no time, the entire capital plains—a fifth of the Kingdom of Dawn's territory—already knew about it.

Even the "Grano family" was using Magic Conductors for farming. So using Magic Conductors for farming must be the way of the new era—that was the first thought of every noble who heard the news. In their understanding, the "Grano family" was the best at agriculture among them and had the most serfs. If they chose to embrace it, what reason was there not to embrace Magic Conductors?

Besides that, on the Magic Power Network, Viscount Roster had no intention of relaxing either. In Roster territory, the recently formed "Magic Net Public Opinion Squad" quickly sprang into action. They'd communicate with every magician and magic apprentice in the territory during free time, hoping they'd use their Magic Net to reply to related topics in Magic Space and browse articles on related topics in Magic Encyclopedia, Magic Know, and other features.

As Magic Conductor industry kept expanding, Roster territory had tons of Magic Net users. They could usually build momentum really fast, getting more people to discuss and pay attention to certain events.

This matter was naturally no exception.

Almost half the Magic Net started discussing the Magic Conductor tractor.

"This guy really is talented!"

In the divine realm, Betty watched Roster's moves and couldn't help sighing. "Really don't know where you got such good luck to find such a capable believer!"

If only the Goddess of Magic had a believer like this, she probably wouldn't even need to worry about that previous lack of faith issue. Forget everything else—just having his Magic Net users post comments online or boost certain posts' positions totally blew Betty's mind.

This move was just too slick!

Not to mention he'd even invented equipment like the Magic Conductor tractor himself, which seemed to have huge applications in mining, agriculture, and even Magic Conductor industry.

"Haha, Roster came to me on his own." Ren laughed, sounding a bit like he was humble-bragging, then said mysteriously, "But I don't think his performance is that outstanding. Remember that Wolf General fighting on the beastmen's side?"

Honestly, these believers were really delivering. He barely did anything, even forgot tractors existed himself, and it still developed to this point! Seriously impressive!

"The one who led armies and directly faced the God of War's miracle? She founded the Church of Technology, of course I remember." Betty was slightly stunned. "What did she do?"

"She's already digested all the territories from Red Leaf Forest to Eagle's Nest Mountain, converted them into faith areas for the Church of Technology. Now over there, everyone deeply believes in the God of Technology, thinks the God of Technology can lead them toward a bright future with no war, no suffering, only endless food, medicine, easier work, and warm comfortable houses."

Ren waved his hand, instantly displaying a virtual map in front of them. It was clearly a knockoff "IP" map, but unlike the "IP" map, this one showed everyone who was a believer of the God of Technology, everyone who provided faith power to Ren.

As Ren became more skilled with using the Data Craftsman authority, he'd developed quite a few clever applications.

Betty understood at a glance—dark red for fanatics, red for believers, light red for casual believers.

In the Kingdom of Dawn, almost every territory had at least one, sometimes dozens of fanatics. Believers numbered about ten times that. Casual believers were pretty common in the capital plains area, everywhere, but in other regions they were rarer.

The Magic Conductor trend hadn't swept through yet.

But in the Teylir Emirates, east of Red Leaf Forest, it was all red. Almost every area had turned red, all believers, and the number of fanatics was several times more than the Kingdom of Dawn.

"This... how did she do it?"

Comparing like this, Betty couldn't help exclaiming, her voice full of disbelief.

"Maybe because in that war, they were abandoned by the God of War, and instead got attacked by the God of War believers they'd always loved, then finally got rescued by my Church of Technology. In despair, people are often most easily changed, and most easily develop faith."

Ren thought about it. "But even so, it's that Wolf General's achievement. Shame she's a general of the kingdom, a noble, and the only heir. Most likely she can't fully enter the Church of Technology. Otherwise, making her the leader of the church's army would definitely be a good choice."

Betty made no comment.

Indeed.

In the former Teylir Emirates, now the new territory of the Kingdom of Dawn, this Wolf General's performance was just too outstanding, outrageously so. If she became the church army's leader, even launching a holy war would be a good option.

Especially after noticing that this Wolf General was now using religious power to infiltrate the Teylir Emirates, she felt this way even more strongly.

Not satisfied with just converting the controlled areas, she was actually penetrating deep into the God of War's heartland, and causing quite an impact. That wasn't something just anyone could do.

"Magic Conductors haven't entered the Teylir Emirates yet. Wonder what kind of changes there'll be after Magic Conductors enter the Teylir Emirates." Betty couldn't help imagining. "In areas that've become controlled by the Kingdom of Dawn, the number of believers and fanatics will definitely skyrocket. And those beastmen still in areas controlled by the Teylir Emirates, even though their brains don't work that well, they got really scared this time, so some should change their minds too."

"Yeah!" Ren looked at the map. "Just don't know how much longer it'll take before Magic Conductors can be transported there."

"But what's going on with the Gray Fort Empire? Hasn't that side always desperately wanted Magic Conductors? Why are there only a handful now? The gap from what I imagined is just too big." Betty looked at the map somewhat confused. "Even the City-State Alliance has more casual believers than them."

"Don't know." Ren shook his head slightly. "Maybe they have the strongest magical power in this world, so it's hard to transform?"

Ren thought of countries from his past life. The peak agricultural nations only entered industrialization after getting smashed. The peak industrial nations also only chose to enter a whole new era after getting crushed.

Any nation that reached the peak of an era was often the hardest to transform.

That Grand Magician responsible for Goddess of Magic sacrifices who got the god-gifted Magic Net Ring, wasn't he a typical example? Gray Fort Empire's youngest legendary magician, so young, yet unwilling to accept Magic Conductors, focused on studying traditional magic.

Compared to the Gray Fort Empire's situation, what actually surprised Ren most was the Elf Kingdom. Don't know why, but this area that was originally the God of Nature's base, an area with almost no other faiths, now actually had thousands of believers and hundreds of thousands of casual believers. Even though there were no fanatics, it was already pretty terrifying.
