The magician clearly didn't quite get what Viscount Roster meant, but out of trust in the Viscount, he flew straight up into the sky anyway.
Everything that had happened over the past while had proven countless times that Viscount Roster was truly an excellent person. Every seemingly crazy thing he did definitely had some deeper meaning behind it.
In fact, the moment this magician flew up into the sky, he already understood exactly what Viscount Roster's purpose was!
When he saw dozens of Magic Conductor tractors racing across flat land, turning areas that couldn't be farmed into loose, workable soil—even professional magicians and clerics from the Church of Agriculture probably couldn't match the amazing results these Magic Conductors achieved—he finally understood why Viscount Roster wanted aerial footage!
What you could see from the ground and what you could see from the sky were completely different scenes.
As the magician kept filming, inspiration seemed to strike. He even figured out to include some reference objects in the video—like Viscount Roster and the others—to really highlight just how powerful these Magic Conductors were.
He stayed up in the sky for quite a while before returning and presenting his work to Viscount Roster. Right away, you could visibly see how much happier the Viscount became.
"Just as I thought—you can only see how powerful our agricultural Magic Conductor machinery is from a bird's-eye view."
Viscount Roster finally couldn't help but praise him. "You did great work. You even knew to include some reference objects in the video to create contrast."
"It's mainly because your idea was so good." The magician said with a cheerful grin. "I feel like filming from this angle could make a lot of things look totally different. What do you think..."
"If you want to, film whatever you want, post whatever you want—just don't reveal any secrets from our development company."
Viscount Roster seemed to guess what the magician was thinking. The guy probably just wanted to film some beautiful scenery or castles or something and post them online to build a following.
With the Magic Net becoming so widespread, lots of magicians nowadays compared who had more followers when they met up. This magician probably wanted to film stuff from a unique angle to attract fans so he could compete with other magicians later. Viscount Roster didn't mind at all—in fact, he was happy to see it happen.
If it worked out, they could collaborate in the future. Even if it didn't, they'd still be good buddies, good colleagues. It wouldn't affect anything.
"Really... thank you."
The magician instinctively wanted to ask if he was serious, but the words were on the tip of his tongue when he remembered Viscount Roster's character—the man always meant what he said. So he just smiled and thanked him.
After waving the magician off to do his own thing, Viscount Roster did some simple editing of the ground-level footage he'd shot and the aerial bird's-eye footage the magician had captured, then posted it directly to the internet.
As the God of Technology's biggest believer in the mortal realm, the owner of the birthplace of Magic Conductors, the Finance Minister of the Kingdom of Dawn, and the head of the Dawn Southern Territory Development Company, Viscount Roster had quite a following. The moment he posted, the Magic Net automatically pushed it to all his followers.
"So this is what Magic Conductor agriculture looks like!"
"This is way too impressive!"
"If I'm seeing this right, that black dot in the lower right corner is a person, right? How big of an area is that? They can farm that much land directly!"
"Brothers from the Kingdom of Dawn, you've been hiding this way too well! I knew you guys had agricultural Magic Conductors, knew they were faster than slaves, but I really didn't think they could be this fast."
"This is crazy, right?"
"Anyone know where I can buy these things? I want them!"
"Technology really does change what you think is possible!"
"Am I the only one who thinks the scenery from this angle looks absolutely gorgeous?!"
The moment the video went live, it instantly attracted a huge crowd of attention.
Maybe supernatural beings didn't care about food issues, but nobles sure did—more than anyone.
Because they controlled the most land. After seeing all this, they couldn't help but gasp, their minds racing to calculate—if they used tons of equipment like this, how many serfs could they save, how much food could they cut back on feeding people, how many times more profit could they make...
Pretty soon, plenty of people started privately messaging Viscount Roster, wanting to know the price of this equipment and, like, what channels they could buy through to get home delivery and stuff.
After all, some territories were way too far from Roster territory—might even need to cross several countries. At that distance, even for nobles, the risk was huge.
Tricky Coin Al was still in his manor recording stuff, writing constantly on parchment, when suddenly a little girl's voice rang out. "Daddy, look at this video! Is the aerial view really that pretty? Can you have one of the uncles who can fly take me up to see?"
"Daddy's busy with some stuff. If you want to fly, just go find Uncle Green. But you know, not every place in the imperial capital allows flying. If you want to see..."
Seeing his adorable precious daughter run in from outside, Tricky Coin Al put down his quill pen and smiled as he started telling her some things to watch out for. But before he could finish, he heard Viscount Roster's voice coming from the Magic Net.
That voice was incredibly familiar—he'd just heard it moments ago.
"Is this a video posted by Viscount Roster? Or someone around him?" Tricky Coin Al suddenly changed topics.
"It's Viscount Roster..."
Actually, he didn't need her answer—Tricky Coin Al had already opened the video.
When he saw over a dozen Magic Conductor tractors moving forward side by side, countless acres of land instantly tilled incredibly loose and ready to plant at any moment, Tricky Coin Al felt his whole body jolt with energy.
Earlier, plenty of nobles from the Kingdom of Dawn had shown off the agricultural Magic Conductor machinery they'd bought online. But in most people's eyes, these were just tools to replace labor, to replace magicians.
For a country like the Gray Fort Empire with tons of magicians, they didn't take it very seriously.
After all, many lords and manor owners employed quite a few low-level magicians and mage apprentices. Occasionally, in urgent moments, they'd have these magicians participate in production, and the results were no worse than what had been shown.
But after actually seeing Viscount Roster's video, they realized they'd been completely misled.
"Those damn Dawn people..."
Tricky Coin Al couldn't help but mutter under his breath, then turned to look at his little "princess." "You go find Uncle Green first. I need to go to the palace and see His Majesty the Emperor!"
Seeing her nod obediently, Tricky Coin Al's expression relaxed a bit. But soon, his mind was completely occupied with thoughts of these agricultural Magic Conductors!
