'He was able to tell that I can see the future?!'
Prisoner's eyes widened in surprise.
He realized that he had fallen into Kiernan's trap that he had very carefully created just to counter his future sight.
When Kiernan realized that he had future sight, he kept fighting normally and just waited for a good moment.
He knew that Prisoner wouldn't keep fighting him forever and would eventually try to finish him off.
And after hearing Death's shout, he knew that the time for that had come.
Kiernan left himself open and vulnerable for Prisoner to have an easy one-shot kill on his opponent and allowed him to stab his arm through his torso.
He did that so that he had his arm stuck in his own torso so he couldn't pull it out to avoid his next move.
Kiernan then waited five seconds before making a move.
Exactly five seconds so that his future sight wouldn't detect his real intention before Prisoner stabbed his arm through his body.
And then, when his arm was already stuck in his body, even if he could see with future sight what was about to happen, there was nothing he could do.
"Huff… Huff…"
Kiernan pulled Prisoner's arm out of his body and looked at the gaping hole in his stomach, and he coughed blood.
"Tight Binding!"
Gritting his teeth, the massive wound on his stomach slowly closed, and his stomach muscles tightened as he tried to hold his insides in place.
'A momentary fix. I'll have this wound properly healed back in the Martial Arts World once I return over there… This should do for now.'
Kiernan thought with cold sweat running down his forehead.
"Argh!"
Prisoner tried ripping through the Black Qi but was unable to do so, as if he was being hugged by a steel cage.
'My Black Qi ability has evolved greatly, and nothing can destroy it anymore. I am sure it can even trap gods.'
Kiernan thought to himself.
'This feels like I am back to wearing the straitjacket!'
Prisoner thought.
However, with the straitjacket, he at least knew that he could shred it apart whenever he wanted to.
This time around.
He knew that he couldn't rip this Black Qi jacket apart, no matter how hard he would try.
And at that moment, he saw exactly five seconds into the future and had a dark look in his eyes.
"We can… talk about this, right?"
Prisoner said with a wry smile.
"Nope!"
Kiernan lunged forward and punched straight into his face, pushing his nose deep into his skull.
BANG!
Prisoner's head snapped back with blood gushing out of his nose, and he gritted his bloodied teeth.
The Black Qi outfit was also binding his feet, so he couldn't move out of the way and dodge the attacks with the help of the future sight.
"Reigning Fallow!"
Kiernan didn't stop attacking, and kept pummeling Prisoner's face as the rest of his body was covered with the Black Qi.
If he punched at the Black Qi, he wouldn't hurt Prisoner and instead would only hurt his own hands.
Thus, the only place he could attack was his face.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
There was nothing Prisoner could do except endure the blows, which he did stoically.
"Go! Go! Go!"
The Fair One cheered with a smile on her face while the other gods and goddesses watched silently.
They didn't think it was possible for Kiernan to turn around the tables, but somehow, he did.
And a few nervously looked into Death's direction and saw him just sit still with a cold expression on his face.
He always had this cold expression.
However.
Now there was something different about the expression, and while it was masked well, few gods were able to notice it.
A look of fear…
'Why is Death looking fearful?'
'I must be imagining it… There is no way that Death would fear anyone. Especially not a mortal, haha…'
'Everyone fears Death. Death fears no one. That is almost like a rule of the universe. I must be out of my mind to think that Death fears someone.'
"Iron Smash… Iron Palm… Iron Smash Storm… Straight Impact…"
Kiernan used Prisoner like he was a training dummy.
In that moment, his right hand started spinning like that of a tornado, and he touched Prisoner's head with the spinning hand.
"Rock n' Roll!"
Crack!
Prisoner's head twisted to the side, almost breaking his neck, but he was able to stop his head from breaking altogether.
"Cough!"
Prisoner coughed blood with his eyes turning bloodshot because of the immense pain that almost knocked him unconscious.
'I need to do something!'
He thought to himself in panic.
In that moment, he crouched, and even stuffed his head inside the trap of the Black Qi so it would be hidden from Kiernan's attacks.
He covered his entire body with the Black Qi, looking like a black ball that was very bumpy and deformed.
'That won't work.'
Kiernan kept punching down at the Prisoner from the top, where there was a head-sized hole, and from that, he could easily just punch at him.
Prisoner kept groaning in pain.
"AAAAAARGH!"
In that moment, he screamed and pushed his hands against the Black Qi, as if he was trying to push it away.
He wasn't trying to break it apart.
He was just trying to make it looser to give enough room for him to escape.
"Tighter!"
Kiernan immediately ordered, and the Black Qi pushed back against Prisoner, but he was still holding on.
Prisoner's arms bulged drastically, and with strength that was even superior to Kiernan's, he pushed back the Black Qi.
In that moment, he saw something in the future and grinned.
One second… two seconds… three seconds… four seconds… five seconds.
He had pushed the Black Qi enough, and he suddenly jumped out of the trap that was the Black Qi and landed safely on solid ground.
"Huff… Huff… Huff…"
He was breathing heavily with sweat trickling down his body, but there was a smile on his face.
"Gasp~"
The gods and goddesses gasped.
They thought that the fight was over, as it looked like Prisoner wouldn't be able to escape the trap, but against all odds, he escaped!
'Damn…'
Kiernan thought with a dark look on his face.
In that moment, Prisoner turned around, looked straight at him, and wiped the blood off his face with a smile.
He was bruised and battered—his face was quite swollen—and he definitely looked like someone who was punched in the face repeatedly.
"This… fight… is… over…"
Prisoner said.
He believed that there was no way for Kiernan to defeat his future sight, as he could see everything that he would do before he did it.
Kiernan could, of course, try other traps, but he was going to be more careful now, so there was a very slim chance that anything would work.
'Time for the Plan B.'
Kiernan thought.
Of course he knew that there was a possibility that his trap wouldn't defeat Prisoner, so he also had a secondary plan in case that happened.
While Prisoner was able to see five seconds in the future, Kiernan was actually thinking much further than that.
He was thinking a few minutes into the future.
If one attack failed, he always had a secondary option, and even a third and fourth, just in case.
"Whoo… Huff…"
In that moment, Kiernan started smoking as he used "Flow State," and all of his senses became heightened.
He was now only thinking about the Prisoner.
He stopped thinking about the gods and goddesses… stopped thinking about Death… stopped thinking about Aoi and Ellie…
Those were all things that had slowed him down during the fight, and now, he was completely detached emotionally from such things.
"High Human!"
At that moment, Kiernan's body bulged drastically, and he turned taller, bigger, and more muscular.
Black Qi outfit wrapped around his growing body, squeezing against his muscles, and he was soon as big as the Big God himself.
"…Whoah… What the hell?"
"…Is that really Kiernan Hunter anymore…?"
"…He looks scary… Just like I thought the Great Robber would actually look like…"
In that moment, smoke kept shooting out of his body, and there was so much smoke that the surroundings turned very hazy and difficult to see through.
"…Ah?"
Prisoner frowned.
He saw something happening in the future, but what he saw froze him entirely, as he didn't know how to dodge that attack!
The next attack was pretty much going to be an invisible one because this smoke hid Kiernan, so he couldn't see where the attack came from even with the future sight.
'This is his next plan? So amazing… I didn't think such a thing was possible…'
Prisoner thought with amazement.
In that moment, a punch speared through the thick smoke, landed squarely on him in the face, and sent him flying.
Prisoner smashed into the barrier.
Without the barrier, he would've definitely flown straight through the wall, and who knows how much further he would've gone.
'With the future sight, I know when I will be hit, but I won't know where the hit will come from…'
Prisoner gritted his teeth.
