As Archer and Alexa traveled through the first chamber, she turned to him, a curious glint in her green eyes as she questioned. ''What is this company you keep mentioning?''
''Oh, the Wyldheart Company, I started it six years ago, and Ella runs it for me,'' he replied, dodging a group of miners who had just finished work. ''All I have to do is build a few things and collect the profits.''
''How much do you keep?''
''Twenty-five percent of anything El gives me,'' Archer revealed, chuckling. ''The rest goes to the Company or empire. Lately, the realm has been getting more funding for the numerous construction projects going on across three continents.''
''Interesting,'' she said, beaming. ''At least you're not greedy, and the people seem to know it with the way they look at you.''
Just then, a horrible groaning sound echoed out through the tunnel as a fissure opened up and creepy humanoids rushed out, screaming. An alarm blared while a commander shouted. ''The Deep Ones have come!''
Archer's attention was caught before he summoned fifty Oathkeepers who formed a shieldwall while letting the miners pass by. Just then, the humanoid fish-looking things charged at them. The knight's spears thrust forward, impaling the creatures, killing them instantly.
Blood painted the walls, splattered across the stone as the soldiers pressed forward. Their boots echoed in the mining tunnel. Alexa stood frozen, her breath catching in her throat, stunned by the sheer carnage unfolding before her. The air was thick with the metallic tang of blood and roars of dying monsters collapsing under the onslaught.
Archer watched as the Oathkeepers' spears carved through the creatures with ease, rending limbs and piercing organs in a display of skill and ferocity. Each thrust was a symphony of destruction, tearing through sinew and bone, leaving a trail of grotesque, writhing bodies in their wake.
Alexa's wide eyes darted from one fallen beast to another, her mind struggling to process the overwhelming tide of violence and the giant knight's determination as they forged ahead, undeterred by the horrors surrounding them. After some time, the Deep Ones were all killed, and he sealed the breach using his mana.
''What the hell were those things, Arch?!'' the navy-haired woman questioned, shocked at the whole situation.
''The race that lives in the deep sea,'' he revealed. ''They become annoying after a while, but the Imperial Guards are getting better at fighting the things.''
Following that, the two continued with the tour of the mining tunnel as everything returned to normal. Workers returned, and the guards took their positions as they reached the second chamber, where many other tunnels branched off. Alexa was impressed. ''This would do wonders back on Earth, the amount of stuff lost to the sea is astounding, billions lost to the waves.''
''Maybe one day,'' Archer answered. ''But at this point, that world has pissed me off.''
''Are you going back to see Micha and Isabella? What about the twins and their friend?''
''Belle? I'm going back to see them soon,'' he revealed. ''The harem says I should take a break from constant fighting or do something else.''
''You should, Arch,'' Alexa said, tightening her grip on his arm. ''No one can fight this much, it will break them down.''
He glanced at her, violet eyes full of determination and resolve. ''I'll never stop fighting until this world is safe for my family, I won't stop until the Terravians are gone, the Alliance is wiped out.''
When the young woman felt the aura coming from him, she gulped. 'It's true what the others said, he'll never give up.'
Archer teleported them to the undersea base's bedroom, reserved for him by Mary and Aurelia. Upon materializing, Alexa dashed to the window, her eyes widening at the breathtaking view. Beyond the glass, the ocean floor unfurled endlessly, fields of flowers swaying gently as sea creatures glided through the depths.
''Are you not worried about the gods punishing you for what you've done here on Thrylos?'' she suddenly asked, a concerned expression crossing her face.
This caught Archer off guard but he shook his head. ''No. No one can punish me. I'm near enough a Dragon God, they'd either die trying. Lexi. So stop worrying because Tia wouldn't allow any deity to attack me thanks to her becoming even more powerful than she ever has.''
''Is Tia the Tiamat the other women mention?'' she asked. ''The one woman you can't get even though you want her?''
Archer bristled at this, he nodded though. ''I know but it won't be long until she's beside me, maybe when the war finally ends?''
Alexa beamed at this before the two sat down and relaxed. While doing this, the young woman glanced out of the window as a swarm of massive whales swam past the base, amazing her even more. He was loving her expressions whenever seeing the monsters passing by.
He got up and started making some tea for them while scanning the entire empire to see if there was any more trouble. After five minutes, the hot drinks were done and his mana didn't find anything. The Alliance had retreated past the no man's land that had been unofficially started months ago.
Archer stirred the tea, and handed the tea to Alexa who turned to him with a big smile. ''Thank you, Arch.''
''Your welcome,'' he replied, sitting down in a comfortable chair.
While sitting there, Mary's voice echoed in his mind. 'My love, me and Nala are going into labour, do you want to be there for the birth?''
Archer's ears twitched causing Alexa to question. ''What's wrong, babe?''
''Mary and Nala are giving birth,'' he revealed, a guilty expression crossing his face. ''To be honest, I forgot they were pregnant thanks to everything that has happened.''
When the navy-haired woman heard this, her eyes lit up as she asked. ''Can I come with you please?!''
''Alright,'' he replied, smiling.
They finished the tea and teleported back to the palace where they were greeted by the same old woman who'd been there during every birth. When she spotted him, she bowed while greeting. ''My lord. I'm glad you're here again, you haven't missed one yet.''
''Of course I wouldn't when I can use magic to be anywhere,'' he responded. ''Are they already in the room?''
The woman nodded, causing him to turn to Alexa. ''Do you mind waiting here until I ask them if you can join?''
She gave him a smile, pushing him toward the door, speaking. ''Just give me a shout when you've asked.''
Following that, Archer stepped into the room only to see the mature Mary, covered in sweat as the pain increased. Next to her on another bed was Nala, she was growling thanks to the hard birth. When the two women spotted him, their faces lit up with smiles as the older woman spoke first. ''Hello, husband. I'm happy you could be here for this.''
''I know you forgot about us being pregnant,'' the lioness chirped a teasing glint in her blue eyes.
Archer chuckled at this but kissed both, he stepped back, explaining. ''Sorry, I've been busy lately between the trouble on Earth and the Alliance's attacks it's beena nightmare, I haven't intentionly forgot, it just got buried deep in my mind.''
Nala giggled at this before dragging him into a hug as she nibbled his ear, sending a shiver down his spine. ''Thank you for giving me a cub, since meeting Freya I've wanted your baby, and now I've got what I wanted.''
A cheeky smie streteched across her face, making him chuckle as he gave her a passionate kiss, while stroking her fluffy lions ear, making the young woman shiver in delight when the pleasure shot through her body. After he greeted Nala, he turned to the beaming Mary who pulled him into a tight hug.
''It's good to see you Arch, I've missed you greatly,'' she whispered.
''I've missed you as well, Mary,'' he replied, making the older woman happy.
Following that, Archer asked the question he nearly forgot about. ''Girls, can Alexa come in to support? She wanted to see you both.''
They instantly agreed thanks to meeting her before and when the navy-haired woman appeared in the room, Nala was the first to greet her. ''Lexi! It's good to see you, it's been too long since we've seen each other.''
Alexa went to support the women while the nurses ushered him to a nearby chair, nervous expressions crossing their faces but when he listened, they sighed in relief thanks to bossing around the ruler of Draconia. He didn't care about that as these women were always there to help his harem.
Afterward, Archer watched the births as the nurses helped the women begin and hours passed until the first wail echoed throughout the room, Mary let out one last scream, pushing their daughter out, covered in blood but she was quickly cleaned up by the older woman who gently bathed the little girl.
