The Sevec lineage gave Mart the strength and endurance to withstand the bodily reconstruction process caused by the drop of blood from the Demon God.
...
Two months and a few weeks later, a beautiful white hand picked up "the mask of the impostor" that had fallen to the ground.
Mart brought the mask to his face covered in dried blood, then used a purifying spell that cleansed his entire body. As the mask activated, Mart regained the average appearance of Rens with a few variations.
His brown hair was now darker, his eyes were almost black, and the horns on either side of his head were black as obsidian, his skin was tanned white as before.
He put on a brown and black wizard's robe.
He sat down on the rock again.

"I'm close to the ninth rank, which means I'm close to reaching the king rank. But my health is not stable, nor is my endurance. Apparently, there is still chaos in the energy that my body manages to contain. If I had absorbed the demonic heart to rise in rank, my own demonic core would not have been able to withstand it. Integration was the right choice," Rens looked at his demonic ring and took out the staff of demonic origin.
Both the orange gem and the black bar had cracks in them.
With the staff in his hands, Rens directed his demonic perception toward the residual consciousness lodged in the staff.
"I have found a way to restore you. If I restore you, you will become a staff as powerful as a 'named staff.' But when I die, you will disappear with me. However, even if you are destroyed, I will continue to live. Most importantly, your power will be so great that it will allow us to destroy those who hurt you. Is it your decision?
The remnant of the female voice replied:
"I will call you, master."
Without hearing any more words, Rens made the staff float in front of him, and in the surrounding area, hundreds and hundreds of demonic diagrams appeared, glowing with different colors, but all the diagrams belonged to the element of fire.
Rens spread his hands and then directed them toward the staff, and all the demonic diagrams were compressed and adhered to the staff. The diagrams deformed, taking on the shape of dark, demonic symbols. The same dark, demonic symbols appeared on Rens' body.
The symbols became incandescent, burning Rens' skin and the surface of the staff.
The symbols turned into several demonic diagrams with ancient symbols that made them feel as if they were beyond life and death.
The diagrams spun as if they were gears. The process took weeks, and when it was at its most important point, the demonic staff began to absorb the demonic energy that remained in the Cursed Canyon.
The restoration process that Rens had used was called "Existential Union."
With the ability to manipulate demonic energy, the restoration process was much faster.
After the demonic staff finished absorbing the demonic energy, the elongated part of the staff turned black with ancient symbols engraved on its surface, and the gem that had previously been orange turned dark red and was surrounded by a black and gray flame; the red gem was surrounded by three black points with an irregular surface.
On the other hand, the ancient symbols were not visible on Rens' body because they had been engraved on his demonic cores.
The Existential Staff was taken by Rens' left hand, at which point a reddish spectral image appeared in the form of a beautiful demon who bowed before Rens and said:
"Master, my loyalty and existence belong to you."
Rens nodded, standing up almost at the same time as the spectral image became invisible. He then stored the Existential Staff in his demonic ring and began to walk out of the Cursed Canyon, which now looked like an almost desert-like brown landscape with an uninhabited canyon.
...
A week later, at night, in a restaurant in a simple inn, Rens was sitting in front of a somewhat old but clean wooden square table, near a window, carefully reading the names of the demons he had written down in one of his notebooks.
The names of the demons belonged to those who were part of the Republican Council. To be more specific, the names belonged to the councilors who had once pressured the Danteriar Academy to send students to Marrac Mountain, an action that endangered Isirid Merliano.
There were also the names of the demons who sponsored those councilors financially or with military force.
These were names he had written down after reading the constant reports produced by demonic information guilds that Selenia had given him over the last few years. He had sought not only to learn about the demons who could be his enemies, but also about the powerful ones who could become his allies.
"Before I return, I will go on a hunt. I want to see if the remnants of the Cudernic dare to show themselves," Rens concluded in his mind. Then he put away his notebook and took out a new one and a pen. Before the waitress brought him the dinner he had ordered, he wrote down:
-Investigate how Acad I disappeared.
