Superpower Small Farmer

Chapter 202: Opening Turbulence

Now, Wang Xiaoqiang had added a breeding factory and a food processing factory to his enterprises, appointing Zheng Shuang as the deputy factory manager, fully in charge. Zheng Shuang did not refuse because both factories were located nearby Bluestone Town and were built next to each other, closely adjoining like neighboring houses, which made management very convenient.

Zheng Shuang felt she was up to the task of deputy manager. Except for a dozen former employees from the Zheng Group who had underperformed and were not hired, the rest were the same team as before. They were all familiar with Zheng Shuang, which made work communication and coordination easy. They were also willing to submit to her management.

On the day the factory commenced operations, Wang Xiaoqiang did not celebrate pompously, for after all, these were industries taken over from the Zheng Group. The collapse of the Zheng Enterprises had already made some people scoff. If Wang Xiaoqiang were to handle things ostentatiously here, it would only add to the disgrace of the Zheng Family.

Wang Xiaoqiang's actions deeply moved Zheng Shuang. She invited several of her close friends from Shunfeng Driving School to support the event, and they brought a plaque to the factory. Feng Xiaoyu, seeing Wang Xiaoqiang opening two factories, became increasingly impatient, and subtly approached Wang Xiaoqiang, indicating her desire to work at his factory, but Wang Xiaoqiang did not agree.

Though the event was modestly organized, the necessary formalities were still observed. On the opening day, all the workers gathered at the main gate and set off two strings of 30,000 firecrackers each, attracting many spectators.

Unexpectedly, Mayor Lou Kunshan of Bluestone Town showed up, bringing a plaque that read "Prosperous Business" and a flower basket, which surprised Wang Xiaoqiang. However, since the mayor had come with sincere intentions, Wang Xiaoqiang did not treat him coldly like the last time, but welcomed him personally.

Mayor Lou first congratulated Wang Xiaoqiang and then quietly apologized for the incidents during the previous celebration, indicating that the town government would provide strong support for Wang Xiaoqiang's enterprises.

Right after the firecrackers were done, and Wang Xiaoqiang was about to speak, a group of about ten disreputable-looking guys, all holding beer bottles, led by Tan Rong, started cursing at the factory gate.

Though they did not name anyone specifically, they clearly targeted Wang Xiaoqiang with extremely vulgar words—it was evident they were just hooligans, roughly saying things like who the f*** was polluting the air with firecrackers…and finally, they smashed their beer bottles on the ground.

It was clear they were making trouble without reason.

The workers felt outraged but dared not express it, for they knew these men, notorious ruffians and hooligans from Bluestone Town, led by their former deputy manager, Tan Rong.

Everyone knew of Tan Rong's deceitfulness. As the saying goes, better to offend a gentleman than a villain. Nobody dared to easily anger someone like Tan Rong.

Zheng Shuang, who had gone to reason with them, ended up humiliated; Mayor Lou, in his capacity as town leader, tried to instruct them but ended up being threatened. Immediately, Mayor Lou pulled out his cellphone and dialed the police.

Tan Rong sneered cunningly, "Go ahead and call, we haven't broken the law..."

"Exactly, ask the head of the local police station if he dares to arrest me…" said a bald guy with a smug smile.

Seeing this, Wang Xiaoqiang could no longer bear it, even though he was a factory manager of high status. At that moment, he would not let his status restrain him and simply allow this group to run wild and insult freely.

He was determined to teach these disrespectful ruffians a harsh lesson.

Wang Xiaoqiang strode alone toward Tan Rong.

Even though Tan Rong had been wary of Wang Xiaoqiang's fighting skills since their last encounter at the café, he had come with ten other people this time, totaling eleven, including three who had served in the military and others who were fit and experienced fighters.

Thus, he did not take Wang Xiaoqiang seriously now, taunting, "Yo, big factory manager, you're quite something. Zheng Dana handed over the factory to you, even married his daughter off to you, what's so great about you f***er…"

"Tan Rong, right? I spared you last time at the café, but I didn't expect you to be so blind as to cause trouble again. Well, I won't be so polite this time..."

"What are you going to do about it, huh? If you don't like it, hit me…" Tan Rong pointed at his own face.

Wang Xiaoqiang, however, did not strike but coldly laughed, "I would dirty my hands hitting trash like you. Now I'm a business owner, do you think I'd stoop to your level..."

With that, Wang Xiaoqiang turned and walked back.

"You motherf***er…" Tan Rong clenched his teeth, raised his beer bottle, and tried to smash it on the back of Wang Xiaoqiang's head, but recalling the bizarre incident at the café, he stopped the rash act, fearing the beer bottle might shatter in his hand like last time.

Wang Xiaoqiang returned to his workers, then continued speaking without paying any further attention to Tan Rong and his gang… "I hope everyone works well in the factory. Don't worry about anything. This is a lawful society, and I believe that evil cannot suppress the righteous. As for the villains, let's ignore them; they will receive their just desserts..."

As Wang Xiaoqiang spoke, he stood with his back to Tan Rong and his group, his hands behind him, fingers spread wide, subtly gesturing towards them.

Tan Rong was not the type to give up, inciting his gang to start insulting more blatantly.

The workers glanced at Tan Rong and his group, frowning deeply, outraged yet unable to speak out.

Suddenly, something eerie happened. Tan Rong, as if he had been shot, jerked and a splash of blood blossomed on his white shirt. Then, a cry of agony followed and, in a panic, he lifted his shirt, revealing a bullet-sized hole in his chest, from which blood was actively streaming.

"Damn it, what bit me, ah..."

"Ouch, that hurts... What the hell..."

Almost simultaneously, two other thugs, as if stung by hornets, one clutching his abdomen and the other his arm, began to shriek in shock...

The situation was too eerie.

The other thugs genuinely thought something had bitten them and, like they were electrocuted, immediately sprang away, careful not to get too close to Tan Rong or the other two injured men. Fortunately for them, they leaped away; otherwise, they might have also been injured by Wang Xiaoqiang's Aura of Geng Metal.

Indeed, the bunch, startled and jumping around, looked like a group of monkeys street dancing, which was incredibly hilarious. The angered workers, watching this spectacle, couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Seeing the blood hole on Tan Rong, their faces invariably showed a look of shock; under such bizarre circumstances, they too thought the thugs had been bitten by some insect and didn't pay much attention.

"Damn it, how could this happen?" Tan Rong tried to stop the bleeding with his hands but to no avail; the blood just wouldn't stop flowing.

"Brother Rong, should we go to the hospital!? My blood won't stop either..." a young thug said in panic.

"Wang, you really got lucky today, but remember, this isn't over between you and me," Tan Rong yelled angrily and embarrassedly, then they all got into two vans parked by the roadside.

Since Mayor Lou had made the call to the police, the town police station did respond and arrived faster than usual, but still, they missed the action. Because Mayor Lou was present, the chief of the police station, Ren Chuncheng, naturally tried to soothe the harassed party and conducted a thorough inquiry.

When he learned it had been Tan Rong and his group, he discreetly warned Wang Xiaoqiang, "Boss Wang, that Tan Rong is a sinister and cunning person, well-acquainted with underworld bosses. It's best to stay cautious..."

Seeing his well-intentioned advice, Wang Xiaoqiang nodded, indicating he would be careful.

To save face in front of Wang Xiaoqiang, Mayor Lou gave the chief of the police station, Ren Chuncheng, a set of instructions about enhancing security patrols and suggested stationing a police officer permanently at the factory.

Chief Ren Chuncheng agreed without hesitation.

Wang Xiaoqiang understood the inefficacy of the town police station, which only performed superficially well, so, of course, he didn't rely on their promises. After Kunshan and Ren Chuncheng had left, Wang Xiaoqiang returned to the Old Village Committee Courtyard.

By this time, the four puppies of the courtyard had grown to juvenile size, and Wang Xiaoqiang had named them—two yellow ones called Big Yellow and Little Huang, and two spotted ones called Big Spotted Dog and Little Spotted Dog.

And their mother, Big Spotted Dog, probably due to Old Yellow Dog's meddling, was pregnant again, looking set to deliver a second litter by year's end.

After conceiving, Big Spotted Dog stopped "working," and her duties were now handled by Big Yellow, Little Huang, Big Spotted Dog, and Little Spotted Dog.

The four dogs were in charge of the fish pond and the Old Village Committee Courtyard, which seemed a bit of a waste of resources. Wang Xiaoqiang had come to pull Big Yellow and Little Huang for more essential duties. Leaving Big Spotted Dog and Little Spotted Dog to watch over the fish pond and the Old Village Committee Courtyard.

The breeding farm and the food processing factory required safeguarding, needed close guarding, and Wang Xiaoqiang decided to station Big Yellow and Little Huang in these two factories to prevent Tan Rong and his gang from causing trouble covertly.

Wang Xiaoqiang, along with Big Yellow and Little Huang, took a tour of the breeding farm and the food processing factory, gave them some instructions which the two dogs seemed to intuitively understand. Considering the responsibility they were undertaking, he then infused them with some Spiritual Energy.

After the two factories commenced operations, everything went smoothly.

The only concern was security.

One evening, around nine o'clock, a group of sunglass-wearing individuals on motorcycles passed by the factory on the main road outside, hurling empty beer bottles towards the front of the office building, throwing dozens in quick succession before speeding away. At the time, Big Yellow and Little Huang, patrolling inside the factory, gave chase but couldn't catch up.

Fortunately, the workers had finished their shift, so no casualties occurred, but unfortunately, Zheng Shuang got injured.

Just after Wang Xiaoqiang and Zheng Shuang had finished discussing a product project and were leaving the office, they were showered with beer bottles. From the location where the bottles were thrown, it was evident that the assailants were very familiar with the factory layout; they specifically aimed to throw bottles in front of the office building to intimidate the factory's leadership.

Although the bottles hit Wang Xiaoqiang, they ricocheted off harmlessly. Zheng Shuang wasn't so lucky—she was hit multiple times on her head and body, with one wound on her head bleeding profusely.
