'So it's time for a test, huh? Okay then, I'm up for it; let's see what they've got.' Akirion thought, his eyes at the guards.

"Hey 01, the magic pyropuppets are ready?" one of the female guards said. They called each other with numbers; 01 was the fat guard.

'Pyropuppets? Are you kidding me? I hate those silly simple things; they got my identity out of the dish the last time at school.' Akirion looked annoyed as he heard about the pyropuppets.

"Hey, Akirion, are you ready to finish all of them in a single shot?" Elina asked, her face blooming with a smile.

Akirion scratched his head and replied, "Ahh, I can't really do that!"

"Ohh, come on, stop being shy and secretive too. I already know, so there's no chance for you to lie to me."

"Ahh, it's not like I'm lying; I'd love to keep my energy for the dungeon time since we are going to have to fight those pesky monsters." His face increased to look even more angry.

"Ohh, you are right, but these things need a lot of energy for you to destroy, so don't worry about the dungeon; focus here!" Elina said as she looked up at Akirion.

"Yep, she's right!" The slim guy interfered.

"What?!" "Akirion and Elina," they said as they panicked.

Akirion asked, "So you've been listening all along?"

Elina added, "How long have you been listening to us?"

"I'm sorry for that, and I couldn't close my ears ever since you started chatting!"

"Really, are you for real, dude? Akirion questioned.

"Yes, sorry, it was my mistake even though I couldn't help it!"

Elina added, "It's okay, but listening to other people's private talk is not allowed because you'll be considered a stalker. Do you want that?"

"Sorry, young miss." The slim guy was called 06, his guard name.

They went straight to the big room that had pyropuppets in different spaces since they were for different types of magic.

All four exclaimed as they saw the big room that was like 50 m on the inside with pyropuppets at the end.

"Hey kids, this is your space. We will start with fire, since it is the number one, well-known magic type!

So it will be followed by water, then wind, earth, and more." 01 said.

"So who's using fire here?" 06 asked.

Akirion replied, "It's me."

06 continued, "Okay, that is your side. I'd love to see you burn that thing into ashes."

01 added, "Warning, it can't be burnt easily, so if you are a weak magic user, then you can turn around."

No word escaped Akirion's mouth, yet there was a scary grin, but there were words that were making noise in his mind too.

'Are they for real? They are saying I'm weak, aren't they? That pyropuppet thing reacts if there is big magic; that's why I hate it. Why is it supposed to explode when I put a lot of power into it? Grrrr, cheaters, to see whether I'm strong or not.'

Akirion thought on his way to the pyropuppet of fire. On his sides, there were glasses, strong glasses that won't melt easily once dry.

'Glass, huh? Okay, so I won't burn all of these pyropuppets.' Akirion silently said, knocking the glass.

"Okay, adventurer, you are all set; that space is for you. Now you can start your exam. Tell us if you are ready." one of the female guards said.

Akirion took that time to check out the pyropuppet. He looked at every side of the pyropuppet and realized that it was just a doll.

"What is he doing?" Emma asked, her eyes filled with confusion.

"I'm sure he's examining the doll." Elina replied.

Emma nodded as she said, "That makes sense; why would he be looking at every side of that doll!"

Akirion took a step back to the examination line and showed them that he was ready by showing a thumbs up.

Everyone was ready to see what he was going to do.

The rules

He was only supposed to shoot 5 times; if he failed, he failed the test.

He only had ten minutes to finish it.

He shouldn't step in front of the line.

They also had a way of helping the adventurers who were taking a test by making them picture a monster. That helped them to gain more power as they got angry to see it, so they had to destroy it out of anger of not wanting to see the monster.

So many of them won because of that; now it was time for Akirion.

"Hey kid, I have a word of advice. Picture that thing as…" 01 screamed, since he was far away from Akirion.

"No thanks, I'm good." he replied faster than expected.

"Ohh, okay, but it is helpful." 01 added with a lower voice and Akirion heard him, and he said:

"No, thank you."

"Okay then, your time starts now!"

Akirion raised his thumb up, and then he glared at the pyropuppet.

He then shot a low-level spell that got extinguished by the pyropuppet as if it was wet.

"Wait, what is he doing?" Elina asked as she asked the others after seeing him releasing a low level fire.

"Maybe he's testing it." Emily replied.

"What is there to test?"

"Nothing really."

Elina ended up agreeing, "But Akirion can be testing it; he is what he is. After he got in, he started looking around it, and now he can be testing it."

"Ohh, that's right." Emma added.

Back at Akirion.

He thought with a weird look on his face, 'So it's just a doll; let me get this over with.

Akirion prepared his stance and got ready to shoot.

He shot a high-level spell this time that got the place lit up with fire.

Everyone gasped as they saw a lot of fire that covered him and maybe another 20 meters. As for them, they thought that maybe his blast would remain behind the line, but it got through.

Akirion came out of the blaze with a sneer on his face.

The guards exclaimed they were impressed yet scared of him.

They started whispering about the test results of the other adventurers.

The female guard carrying a book said, "No one has ever destroyed the pyropuppet ever since I started working here."

"Don't you mean ever since this place was built?" 01 asked.

"Ahh yes, you saw through my mind; that's what I meant."

"Yes, you are right; no one has ever destroyed this thing, and now, where are we going to get the money to buy another one?" 06 added.
