Damien nodded faintly, reaching out to take it.
He calmly counted it, before slipping it into his inventory without another word.
This little action of his elicited another gasp from Susan, bud she quickly controlled herself and calmed down.
"If you'd like, sir, I can escort you back out to the main hall," she offered, her tone warm but careful.
"There's no need," he replied, shaking his head immediately.
Susan's eyes widened slightly at the firmness in his tone, though she quickly composed herself. Her smile faltered for only a second before returning to her lips, albeit a bit smaller now.
"Of course, sir," she said quietly, bowing her head slightly.
As he stood from his chair and turned toward the door, her gaze lingered on him for a brief moment longer. Her thoughts drifted, curiosity tugging at her once again.
'To have a skill like that,' she thought silently, watching his calm movements. 'He's clearly a noble… or a powerful hunter. Our guild should at least keep a good relationship with him.'
The faint sound of the door opening broke her from her thoughts.
Damien stepped out without a glance back, his footsteps fading gradually into the soft noise of the hallway beyond.
The room fell quiet once more, leaving Susan staring at the empty space where he'd been sitting just moments ago.
*
Damien sighed softly as he left the room, the sound nearly drowned out by the sudden change in atmosphere as he stepped back into the bustling guild hall.
He paused for a brief moment near the doorway, letting the noise wash over him, then continued walking, weaving his way through the crowd.
His expression remained calm and composed, but his mind was already elsewhere.
Now, when he checked the amount of money in his hands now, the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.
Seventy-seven coppers from Susan, and seventy more from Sophie earlier—that made a total of a hundred and forty-seven coppers.
His current wealth amounted to one silver coin and forty-seven copper coins!
That might not have sounded like much, but in a small village like this, it was more money than the majority of people would ever see in their lives.
Most commoners barely made more than a few coppers a day, and even skilled laborers rarely saw more than a dozen coins in a week.
One silver was enough to live comfortably for quite some time—to eat well, rent a decent place, and still have spare change left.
But then, it was only just a start for him, so he wasn't too excited by the money.
Nonetheless, he had already gathered more than enough money to participate in the class awakening ceremony coming up in a few days.
He slipped his hands casually into his pockets as he moved through the hall, his eyes flicking briefly over the groups of hunters lounging at tables or resting near the quest board.
'If I sold the boar's corpse too,' he thought quietly to himself, 'I could have easily made more than that.'
He knew the boar's body alone could fetch a far better price.
Between its size, tusks, and the quality of its meat, the corpse could easily sell for several silver coins, especially if sold to the guild.
Together with the furs and fangs, that would have easily doubled or even tripled his current wealth.
But he didn't do that. He had deliberately held back.
It wasn't because he didn't want the money—no, he definitely did. But selling everything now would ruin his plan.
It would draw too much attention too quickly, and not in the way he wanted.
'Showing my Inventory skill should be more than enough… to get their attention.' he thought.
That was the goal—to get the attention of the higher-ups in the guild.
They were the ones that actually mattered, especially since they could assign far better quests than the ones on the board.
Joining the adventurer's guild had been one of his plans from the very beginning.
It was a key step toward building influence and accessing the world's systems from within, just like in the game.
But doing so rashly, like the common hunters here, would get him nowhere.
If he joined now without making an impression, he'd only be assigned the most basic starting rank—an F-rank adventurer.
That was the lowest level, receiving quests like hunting weak beasts, gathering herbs and other menial tasks.
He needed to stand out from the start.
The ranking system itself was straightforward—or at least, it seemed so to the people of this world.
Adventurers were classified from F-rank at the bottom to S-rank at the top. The ranks went upward step by step: F, E, D, C, B, A, and then finally S.
But that last one—S-rank—was a mystery to almost everyone in this world.
The people believed the highest was A-rank.
Even guild records and public knowledge stopped there, with A-rank adventurers being regarded as the strongest, the pinnacle of human power.
Guild masters, and other powerful warriors known in the kingdom, were almost always B-rank or in rare cases, A-rank.
The idea of an S-rank didn't even exist in their collective understanding.
Only he knew otherwise, and that was because he had completed the eroge back on earth.
'If I play my cards right,' he thought, 'I can rise through the ranks faster than anyone.'
But for now, patience was key.
What was most important was proving his strength to the guild even if not directly.
This way, they might even overestimate his true strength and try their hardest to recruit him, offering him many benefits.
By the time he would eventually join as an adventurer, he surely wouldn't be given an ordinary F-rank or E-rank, but at least a D-rank!
With this thought in mind, he made his home.
After a few more minutes he arrived home, making his way through the sitting room and towards the room.
However, the moment he opened the door of the room, what he saw left him shocked.
There was Nora lying on her matress with her breasts spilling out of her dress.
She was gently squeezing it, moaning softly as she pointed her nipples towards a small bowl in front of her.
Spurt!
Suddenly, a small stream of milk sprayed out from her nipples, splashing into the bowl!
