Urban Dominating Immortal Doctor

Chapter 18: Could it be that you're from Mars?

Qin Yang's lips slightly parted, murmuring softly as extremely faint Spiritual Energy in the air followed the tail of the Silver Needle into Ruan Zhengtian's body.

Zhou Yizhen and the others weren't sure if it was an illusion, but the sixteen Silver Needles seemed particularly bright, as though there was a glow wandering over them.

The faint Spiritual Energy nourished Ruan Zhengtian's injured heart and lungs. Gradually, Ruan Zhengtian's complexion turned rosy, and his closed eyes slowly opened.

After Ruan Zhengtian awoke, Qin Yang finally withdrew the Silver Needles, marking the end of the treatment.

"Grandpa, how do you feel now?"

Ruan Xinxue's eyes were filled with deep concern.

Ruan Zhengtian sat up, feeling an unprecedented ease throughout his body, and the constant pressure on his chest was gone.

"Haha, Grandpa feels breathing is much smoother, and my whole body feels comfortable."

Ruan Zhengtian took a deep breath and said with satisfaction, smiling broadly. It had been so long since he breathed so freely. He stood up, stretched his muscles, and felt much more energetic.

"Old man, don't celebrate too soon. Your body still needs a few days to recuperate before it's fully healed. I'll write a prescription, and you can get the medicine accordingly."

Qin Yang's face was a bit pale, clearly having expended considerable Heart and Spirit just now.

Seeing Xuan paper and a brush on the table, probably left by the old man to practice with in his spare time, Qin Yang didn't hesitate. He picked up the brush, and characters danced across the paper in a graceful and ethereal style.

"Gulp!"

Ruan Zhengtian's eyes instantly lit up, swallowing hard as if he were a burly man seeing a beautiful, naked woman, full of thirst. Qin Yang found it quite amusing.

The characters on the Xuan paper flowed like clouds and water, graceful and ethereal, carrying a hint of celestial aura with each stroke.

"What excellent characters! I've lived so long, and it's the first time I've seen writing where the meaning is thoroughly infused."

Ruan Zhengtian picked up the Xuan paper and savored it carefully, his old eyes filled with envy. Why can't an old man like me write such meaningful calligraphy?

Not only was the old man staring intently at the characters on the Xuan paper, but Ruan Xinxue was also gazing at them in a daze. Then, her little face blushed slightly as she sneaked a glance at Qin Yang, wondering just how many skills this guy was hiding.

"The little miracle doctor not only has superb medical skills but also astonishing calligraphy accomplishments."

Saying this, Ruan Zhengtian quietly looked at the calligraphy framed in top-quality redwood on the wall.

Jingoistic horses, yes, those four large characters with iron-clad strokes, exuding a vigorous aura of battle.

Back when Ruan Zhengtian finished writing them, under the flattery of a few old war buddies, he felt proud for quite a while.

However, the old man looked down at Qin Yang's writing, then at his own four characters, and felt more and more disheartened with the comparison. Little did he know how vast the gap was until he compared them, and it seemed as though Qin Yang's were scribbled offhandedly.

Fortunately, none of them had seen those four characters or compared them with Qin Yang's, or else he'd have no place to put his old face.

He would have to replace them quickly to save face, Ruan Zhengtian thought silently.

But the ideal is full, and reality is cruel.

"Grandpa, the 'little miracle doctor's' writing is nice, but still falls short compared to grandpa's."

Ruan Liang knew his grandfather favored calligraphy and took pride in his calligraphy skills, so he quickly added a flattering remark, smiling.

Upon hearing this, Ruan Zhengtian's old face immediately flushed.

"Naturally, even if this little Huang—this little miracle doctor practiced for a hundred more years, he couldn't surpass the old man's Jingoistic Horses. Only someone like the old man, who has been through battles, could write that."

The plump woman noticed Ruan Zhengtian's face turn red with excitement, so she backed up the flattery with her husband, both showering praise on the old man.

Qin Yang, Ruan Xinxue, and Zhou Yizhen's gazes followed the couple's and saw the four large characters 'Jingoistic Horses.'

Ruan Xinxue stuck out her pink tongue. Although she didn't know much about calligraphy, she could tell Qin Yang's writing was superior, the ethereal and otherworldly quality incredibly captivating.

Seeing Qin Yang and the others' gazes, Ruan Zhengtian's hand holding the Xuan paper began to tremble, his old face even redder, not from excitement but from embarrassment.

"Hehe, how is it? My grandpa's calligraphy is quite impressive, right..." Ruan Liang's gaze carried a hint of provocation as he glanced at Qin Yang.

However, before Ruan Liang could finish, Ruan Zhengtian, his face flushed, suddenly roared out.

"You two, get out!"

"Huh? Grandpa, you..."

Ruan Liang froze, stupefied. Usually, even when the old man knew it was flattery, he'd laugh heartily. Why was today different...

"Little rascal, get out before I take off my belt and whip you..."

Saying this, Ruan Zhengtian was about to take off his belt to slap Ruan Liang.

Although the old man was up in years, his temper had mellowed compared to when he was younger, but now that fiery temper erupted again uncontrollably.

At that moment, Ruan Liang and the plump woman's faces changed, and they both obediently shut their mouths, not daring to make a sound.

"Grandpa." Ruan Xinxue tugged at the old man, reminding him that Qin Yang and Elder Zhou were still present.

However, the old man's anger was still burning, his face red as he said to Qin Yang, "Little miracle doctor, forgive us. The kid doesn't know any better. As far as calligraphy is concerned, my skill is far beneath yours..."

"Hehe, old man, no need for formalities."

Qin Yang waved his hand, smiling, and took the Xuan paper from the old man's reluctant gaze, handing it to Zhou Yizhen.

"Elder Zhou, follow this prescription to get the medicine. I've written down the cooking time and dosage."

Zhou Yizhen was overjoyed. Compared to the writing, he valued the prescription more, and his old face was serious as he earnestly examined the prescription. After a while, he folded the Xuan paper contentedly and put it in his sleeve.

"The prescription Qin the Divine Doctor wrote is perfect for nourishing the foundation and enhancing vitality, especially the addition of two liang each of carrots and black dates. It not only removes the bitterness from the medicine but also has health benefits. I must admit that I would never have thought of these."

Zhou Yizhen genuinely praised, his gaze toward Qin Yang filled with respect.

Chinese medicine often has different schools of thought, yet Qin Yang shared his prescription without reservation, undoubtedly elevating his status in Zhou Yizhen's eyes. Given Qin Yang's medical skills far exceeded his own, his respect came from the heart.

"By the way, old man, try to drink less alcohol; your high blood pressure is greatly linked to your usual fondness for it."

Qin Yang turned his gaze to Ruan Zhengtian, advising him.

"Ah, back when I was young, it was my only liking, and it's even harder to give up now in my old age. But since you, the little miracle doctor, mentioned it, I'll try to quit."

The old man smacked his lips, speaking with a hint of reluctance.

"Hehe, drinking a glass occasionally is fine, even helps with blood circulation. However, the wine on your Earth truly lacks taste," Qin Yang said with a smile.

"Your Earth?"

Ruan Xinxue raised her eyebrows slightly, catching the error in Qin Yang's words, and joked, "Could it be that you came from Mars?"
