Chapter 3: Spatial Rift

Dapes.

The earth tremor continues, and the distinguished guests at the ceremony have gathered together.

People are naturally curious, and for a non-natural phenomenon like an earthquake, they certainly want to understand it clearly.

"Your Majesty, has the source of this earthquake been found?"

Archduke Madelena asked with concern.

For some reason, she always had an ominous premonition deep down, as if something big was about to happen.

"It can roughly be judged as coming from the Elf Race. They've already closed the border, prohibiting anyone from entering, so we have no way to investigate deeply."

George the First replied calmly.

He knew that this answer would not satisfy everyone, but he couldn't send the Kingdom's strongmen to a place where even the Earth Bear dared not enter.

Racial disputes are never settled in the short term. Patience is required for a few more years. After the ceasefire treaty expires and the Human Race sweeps across the continent, the reckoning can be done.

Looking back in history, one will find that there were many races stronger than the Human Race on the continent. But now, the continent's overlord is the Human Race.

Those powerful races have all disappeared into the long river of history, highlighting the importance of being adaptable and resilient.

"There's no need to be entangled; if the Elf Race wants to cause trouble, we alone cannot stop it.

King George has already arranged to activate the Communication Magic Array; it's estimated that all major forces have received the message by now.

Once the experts sent by the Alliance arrive, we'll go over together to check it out."

Hudson stepped in to resolve the situation.

The stronghold of the Elf Race is certainly full of dangers, but if there are enough strongmen going, it won't be an issue.

Anyway, with his speed, Hudson was sure he could outrun his companions. Once back on Human Race territory, the elves wouldn't dare to chase.

The reason is simple: over the past thirty years, the strength of the Elf Race hasn't changed much, but the Human Race has undergone earth-shattering transformations.

Take the Alpha Empire as an example: the total population has directly doubled. Compared to before, its comprehensive national strength is like heaven and earth, and even the number of Sanctuary Powerhouses has increased by six.

Other major forces have not expanded their territories as much as the Alpha Empire, nor has their population growth been as dramatic, but the number of strongmen has certainly increased significantly.

The basic strength lost in the last continental war was long compensated for by the Human Race, and even showed growth.

Near the peak strength loss, about forty percent has been compensated; in another three to four decades, it might be fully restored.

This recovery speed is unparalleled among the various races on the continent.

The current assertiveness of the Elf Race, in Hudson's view, is already at its end.

Once the ceasefire treaty expires, it will be the end of the Alien Coalition. As long as the Human Race moves fast enough, the Dragon Race and the Magical Beasts won't be able to mobilize in time to intervene.

"Marshal, in the past days, all countries have completed a round of power integration.

For the Alien Coalition, this is not good news.

If the Elf Race decided it was too dangerous and wanted to leave the Continent of Aslante, it's not impossible!"

After Madelena finished speaking, the distinguished people present all showed expressions of disbelief.

The idea of leaving the Continent of Aslante—it was just a thought. Not everyone was like the Dragon Race, who could simply fly for migration, with luggage and belongings packed into their space.

"Archduke Madelena, if the Elf Race wanted to leave, they'd need a large number of ships, and we haven't seen them take any such actions.

If they want to leave the continent, we wouldn't foolishly stop them. Moving homes would suffice, and there'd be no need to make such a big fuss."

An elder Sanctuary Powerhouse voiced his doubts.

From the Human Race's perspective, if the Elf Race leaves, the biggest stumbling block for unifying the continent is gone.

As long as the Elf Race promises not to return, we could even have the human nations provide ships, food, to help them move away.

"Moving doesn't necessarily require ships; the ancient legend of the Noah's Ark speaks of a floating island that navigated the seas.

Given the Elf Race's prowess in the field of Magic, spending a few thousand years to build a floating island is completely feasible.

The intense seismic activity now might very well be due to their separation from the continent.

They've kept it so secretive, naturally fearing sabotage. We hope the Elf Race would just go far away, but not all forces feel the same.

Other members of the Alien Coalition, the Dragon Race, the Warcraft Clan, do not want the Elf Race to leave. Even within the Human Race, some factions want the Elf Race to stay and create chaos."

Madelena's explanation caused the atmosphere to become awkward. The representatives of the Five Nations Alliance began looking at those from the South Continent with different eyes.

It was as if they were saying: "If the Elf Race wants to leave, let them roll out quickly. If you dare to cause trouble, we won't let it slide."

Clearly, they believed Madelena's explanation. The Noah's Ark tale is widespread across the continent.

The old legend states: a great flood submerged the origin continent. To sustain the legacy of the species, the major Human Race factions united to build the Noah's Ark.

After various trials, the Noah's Ark successfully reached the Continent of Aslante and planted roots there.

If the myth of Noah's Ark was merely a ship, it couldn't possibly support the migration of an entire civilization, no matter how large it was built.

But replace it with a floating island, and everything makes sense.

A large ship would leave remains, but a floating island would not. Once its power system was damaged, it would either strand as an island or sink into the deep sea.
