His body blurred and his speed increased by multiple times but he was not done. Purple and blue lightning ran across his entire body.
Especially concentrated on his wings. This was the first he used both lightning at the same time, he had no idea what the results would be but he didn't feel any danger from it.
So it wasn't a threat, atleast not to him. He flapped his wings, bolts of lightning shot out, sinking into the dark abyss, his body shot forward like a streak of light.
He was moving so fast his mind found it hard to keep up, the bridge turned into a blur below him and before he knew it he had completed the trial.
( Congratulations to challenger for completing the first trial. Prepare for the second trial.) Before he could even ask what his grade was he disappeared.
The world shifted and he found himself standing on a huge floating platform. ( Welcome challenger to the second trial of Dragul, the trial of strength.)
' Trial of strength?' before he could prepare himself he felt a mountainous pressure bearing down on him.
He immediately used herculean strength, the pressure lessened significantly. However it continued to rise and he responded by using more of his herculean strength.
Infront of him stood a huge stone stele, the voice instructed him to punch the stone stele without using any essence related abilities.
It was testing his attack power using solely his body. Ved grinned, none of his abilities or traits used essence, he could cheat as much as he want on these trials.
Ved pulled back his arm and made a fist, just before he punched he stopped. ' Excuse me Voice, is using vital essence allowed?' ( ....)
The voice seemed to be thinking then it gave him the answer he wanted, (vital essence is allowed as it count as part of the bodies pure strength.)
It wasn't considered some enhancement at all. He almost laughed out loud. ' ignition' he whispered in his head.
Red energy busted out of his body and danced around him like ribbons, At first he only used it on a single heart in case he would need it again.
Then he thought about it, maybe vital essence will be regenerated on each trial like stamina, if this tower could do that, then it owner must've been insanely powerful.
Ved decided to ask and as he had expected, the voice answered, (All of forms of energy will be regenerated for each trial, the same goes for any wounds sustained during a trial.)
Ved was so happy he wanted to dance, his abnormal body was finally paying off. He used Ignition on all four hearts, his strength increased by 16 times.
However the rate at which he was burning vital essence was insane, in a real fight he wouldn't even be able to last 2 minutes in this form.
Dense red energy danced around him like ribbons. He punched, the world bent around his fist, the air ignited, even the platform below his feet shook.
When his fist touched the stele, the world seemed to stand still for a moment then a world ending shockwave blasted out, his body was pushed back for dozens of metres.
The stele and the platform shook like there's an earthquake but surprisingly they did not break, there was not even a crack on them.
Ved marveled at their durability. ( Congratulations to challenger for passing the second trial, prepare for your next trial. The trial of endurance.)
' Oh that does not sound good.'

Tower of Babel.
Almost 3 years ago, Vermillion had called a world summit. Unfortunately modern communication died with the old world so it took some time for the world leaders to receive the message, even with the void pigeons.
And it took even more time for them to travel across the world and come to the Tower of Babel which was currently stationed in what was known as the table mountain in the old world.
Naledi stood with Aira infront of the tower, they were amongst the first to arrive. A woman who looked too much like Aira walked out of the tower.
This was the one they call The librarian, the ruler of the Tower of Babel. Her real name was Aurora and she was Aira's older sister. She was also one of the only 5 known rank 4 humans.
The librarian looked at Naledi and bowed slightly. " Greetings Mourning Snow " Naledi frowned, she didn't like that ominous moniker but it was her moniker so she bowed in return.
Then aurora started chatting with her sister who didn't look happy to be around her. They waited for other's to arrive and before long they did.
A huge winged scorpion landed infront of them. On it back were two people. A woman dressed like an ancient Egyptian princess and another woman behind her, also dressed in ancient Egyptian attire.
This was Ahmanet, the sand whisper and her attendant. She was one of the two rulers of Egypt alongside Pharoah Set, Naledi thought it was presumptuous of him to name himself after a God.
But she had to admit, the man was very strong, very few rank 3 people could challenge him and speaking of him, a cyclone of sand and glass crashed infront of them and out came Set with a smile.
He looked at Ahmanet with lovingly teasing eyes but she just snorted and turned around, ignoring him, there were rumours of these two being lovers, maybe they weren't unfounded.
Soon after, a group of people walked up the mountain. Leading them was a man in silver armour with a knight's sword on his back.
"Welcome, Knights of the round table." The librarian welcomed them with a smile as she did everybody else, her every move exuding a professional charm, Aira snorted at this. " Greetings to you lady Librarian."
The leading knight responded in a booming voice and bowed to her. Then another group arrived. The librarian inquired about the absence of their lord.
The leading woman apologized and informed them that their leader couldn't come, he had to keep the queen of spiders in check.
If he leaves, it was certain to use that opportunity to attack. Their leader was the most recent rank 4 human who ranked up about a year ago.
Then groups from other continents arrived one after another. Of all of them Naledi paid more attention to the group from China.
Not because of their strength but because they arrived in a flying ship. Not a vessel but something that was a combination of rune crafting and modern science.
She was glad to see humans progress scientifically again. Then a powerful aura descended from the sky and dressed down on everybody.
High in the sky, a giant leaf covered in a golden light descended gently, on the leaf was a monk, he came alone but his was aura was even more imposing than entire groups.
This was the golden arhat, though he hated being called that so everybody called him the golden monk, he was the second human to ever reach rank 4. It was rumoured his vessel was merely sky grade but his belief was so strong the purity of his will could even rival that of Vermillion who had a mythical grade vessel.
Ofcourse these were only rumours but one thing for certain, the monk was very strong. After everybody arrived, they entered the tower.
Inside they found Vermillion waiting for them. Naledi furrowed her brows the moment she saw him, she didn't know why but for some reason she hated this man.
Like he had stolen something from her. Vermillion spoke with a smile. " Welcome everyone. You probably all wondering why I summoned you here.
Well, it is to discuss the greatest threat facing humanity." Vermillion smiled but Naledi had a bad feeling about this.
