Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 211: Sabrina's POV

Sabrina's POV

Sabrina watched the dragon fly through the air after being attacked by one of her magic wolves.

Her face was pale, the circlet on her head was an artefacts that boosted the strength of her will in exchange for mental energy.

Creating projection realm wolves took too much will, her mental strength was really low right now.

She touched the circlet and felt sadness rise up inside her, this was the last remnant of her entire family.

It was still pouring will into her, with it she can do one last magic trick she normally wouldn't be able to.

With a mental command, all three wolves disappeared and appeared next to the dragon.

They swiped their claws at him but he again moved in a manner that should've been impossible for something his size.

She drew a heavy breath trying to regenerate as much mental energy as she possibly can.

Nic also lunged at the dragon, his Windslasher stabbed towards it massive eye but it moved at if it can see his moves before hand.

She had to admit, this dragon was one of the toughest beings they've ever fought. The only person more troublesome than it is that man.

Her body shivered just thinking about the youngest prince of the Dawn Empire. She continued chanting, her wolves continued assaulting the dragon.

It swung it tail and weapons bisecting them in half but before it could celebrate they merged back together like mist.

When she imagined the wolves she imagined creatures immune to physical damage.

Can teleport and have the ability to ignore physical durability. The dragon's hard body made it troublesome to kill.

She gave them the power to directly damage his insides. Unfortunately she couldn't make them immune to energy or will.

However so far she had yet to see the dragon use any essence infused attacks, infact she couldn't sense any essence inside him at all, he was a curiousity.

However she believed he had an ability to hide his essence energy signature. It made no sense for something to be this powerful without essence or any other form of heavenly energy.

Her mental energy regenated a little, enough for her to safely carry out what she intended without risking her mind shattering out of lack of mental strength.

Just as she was about to activate her technique, energy exploded out of the dragon.

She thought he was finally showing his energy and it a sense she wasn't wrong but it wasn't any of the heavenly energies as she had expected.

Instead it was vital and soul essence. Her eyes opened wide, even with her magic she would never dare use either of those.

Regenerating vital essence was hard and even harder for soul essence. " Is he crazy?" She whispered under breath.

But what surprised her the most was somebody from this backwards place had a technique to utilise those two energies.

She knew better than anybody how rare those were. " NIC BE CAREFUL."She shouted to her companion.

However it wasn't necessary, he had already retreated. The dragon raised his head and roared.

His roar shook the sky and the earth. " Now then, where did he left off?" His voice boomed through the sky.

She had to use essence to prevent her eardrums from shattering. Then the dragon moved.

His massive body surrounded by colourful light flew at Nicholas faster than Sabrina can follow.

Her friend was no weakling either, he swung his sword sending a massive wind slash at the dragon.

The dragon swiped his massive claws and shattered the wind slash but Nicholas wasn't done.

He raised his sword to the sky, thousand upon thousands of wind blades appeared in the sky.

The dragon as if refusing to be outdone created thousands of swords. The swords and wind blades clashed in the sky creating thousands of explosions.

The world shook as the shockwaves ravaged the ground. The two of them ran across the ground and flew through the air.

Sonic booms and heavy winds shook the world wherever they went. Sabrina could see Nicholas was struggling a bit.

He jumped back to dodge the dragons claws which crushed the ground sending stone and dust flying everywhere.

He turned to look at her, she understood his look immediately and shook her head. She couldn't allow him to use that form, she couldn't risk them finding out.

Nicholas was not aware but she was, she could sense a person watching them thousands of kilometres in the sky.

She knew it was one of Volstone's assassins, their stealth was impressive but they couldn't hide from her.

Not with the circlet of will on her head. However she also needed a bit more time to regenated more mental energy.

She thought her previous mental energy would be enough before the dragon used this technique but now she was not so sure.

To be certain she would need a few more minutes to regenerate and that meant Nic would have to keep the dragon busy without using his strongest ability.

Fortunately her earrings were sky grade rank 5 artefacts whose only ability was mental strengthening and mental energy regeneration.

It wouldn't take as much time as others to regenate. The battle continued, craters and ridges filled the ground turning tens of thousands of kilometres into a wasteland.

Wind and blue flames covered the sky, tornadoes met and sucked up clouds of poison.

Lightning shot through the air like spears. Their battles would be nothing but a world ending disaster to mortals.

Just being here would kill them, the heat from the blue flames of the dragon and the sharp winds would reduce them to dust.

Her wolves were not to outdone however the dragon kept dodging all of their attacks as if he can see them before hand.

Even with their ability to teleport they still couldn't land a single attack on him, his strange movements made him as slippery as a fish.

She had never once seen a dragon that knew martial arts, dragons were too prideful to learn the art of lower lifeforms.

This creature was a very strange one. However it didn't matter, her technique was complete.

She closed her eyes and imagined a dark void without sound or light. Where none of the senses worked and ones sense of direction was messed up.

Then using every ounce of will she had, she placed that ailment on the dragon. " Let see how you deal with that." She whispered.

----------------------------------------------------------

Ved was fighting the wolves and the Nicholas guy. Dealing with them by himself would've been hard but with Manas, things were easier.

It was as if she can see things before they happen. While dodging the wolves swipes everything suddenly disappeared.

' The hell.'
