At the same time the child of winter started shaking uncontrollably. His body expanded becoming a fox as large as a house.
" Father please no." He whispered in a childish voice. Naledi stood up, her face was covered with worry.
" What's happening?" She asked panicking. " Whoever created them seems to be finally taking over his tools."
She turned and looked at him. " Them?" She asked. He gave her a side glance while placing most of his attention on the child of winter.
" Yes, there's another, she came before him and my other avatar is dealing with her as we speak."
She nodded. " I see." Then the child of winter grew quiet and stopped shaking. " You've caused me quite a deal of trouble pitiful worms."
A deep terrifying voice that sounded as old as the world itself came out of his mouth. Ved grew tense but Naledi reacted differently.
" Who are you?" She asked in a cold voice. The voice giggled. " You're quite a brave little worm to even dare speak to me."
Her face grew as cold as ice. " Whoever you are, leave this child alone or I swear upon all that's old I will kill you."
Ved took a step forward. " Do not waste your breath, these things have twisted minds, you can not reason nor threaten them."
" Enough talking, surrender yourself to me or suffer." The voice threatened. In response Ved fired a beam of nuclear energy.
A barrier of black ice appeared and blocked his beam. They stood locked for a few seconds but he failed to melt through the entire ice barrier.
The child of winter or rather the herald using his body jumped backwards and created space between them.
" This world will pay for the insolence of the two of you." Neither of them responded. The temperature started dropping even faster.
Within moments the black snow was replaced by white snow. Naledi was pissed and he could feel her anger.
" My love." She whispered in a flat tone. He nodded. " Do not interfere." She told him then attacked.
Her body blurred moving faster than his eyes can follow. Her power seemed to have grown even stronger.
However when she reached the child of winter instead of attacking with her sword she reached out to grab him.
Leeches spawned out of thin air and tried to bite her. They froze into ice statues even before touching her skin.
The herald roared. Spatial gates opened around him then out came floods of undead. Naledi didn't seem to care.
She continued chasing the retreating herald while cutting through the army of undead like they were wheat on a field.
The snowstorm around the herald grew stronger turning tens of kilometres around himself as black as night.
The black ice turned into weapons and living statues. They all lunged at her like they had a mind of their own.
She responded with a single technique. " Dying Snow." A tiny snowflake floated gently towards the approaching rain of attacks.
When they met the world seemed to stand still then every single attack turned into pure white snow that gently fell to the ground.
Even those not touched by the snowflake were effected. " What are you?" The herald asked with a growl.
Naledi did not bother replying and continued attacking him. Ice chains appeared mind air and flew towards the herald like serpents.
He easily dodged them then fired a black beam not at her but at him. He didn't react, she told him not to interfere. She waved her hand forming a massive ice shield Infront of him.
The beam exploded against the ice shield forming massive black ice spikes. She crouched.
The ice cracked below her feet then she disappeared.

Ved was also fighting the herald who had possessed the bringer of doom. The bringer of doom was much stronger now.
So much so that Ved had used his ignition yet he still couldn't defeat her or rather him.
Wings of a mosquito flapped rapidly behind her back increasing her speed to absurd levels.
Everytime he lands a hit, her body scatter into millions of insects. He tried incinerating the insects but she just came back from just one of them.
No matter how hard he tried he couldn't kill every insect in this black dessert. They seemed to spawn endlessly here.
The world shook as an explosion with the power of a thousand nukes exploded around himself.
A mushroom cloud reached the sky, lightning flickered through the cloud and a massive colourful silhouette could be seen clashing with a smaller one.
Each of Ved's punches shook the sky but the herald was now covered in carapace increasing his defence to absurd levels.
Yet Ved could tell this was not even her full power. She was holding back a lot, she kicked him on the chin sending him crashing on the ground.
Before he could get up he heard the buzzing of her wings and found his body stuck further into the ground.
" Surrender your body to me little worm, with a body like this, I could raze this world to the ground and make my master proud."
" Piss off." Ved replied with gritted teeth. His speech was a bit unclear from the blood stuck in his throat.
Lightning exploded around him forcing the herald to dodge. Ved realised during their fight, the herald was more scared of lightning than other attacks.
Nuclear energy was also effective, the one that was not effective at all was poison, he had stopped using it entirely.
Instead of hurting the herald, it helped her grow stronger instead and physical attacks were also useless.
So he relied only on nuclear energy and lightning. However he also didn't want to go all out.
He knew for certain his avatar was not enough to defeat this monster, he just wanted to learn more about the extent of her abilities.
Ved slashed his tail causing a massive black tail to materialize and swung towards the herald.
This was his intent attack, he followed by sending three crescent claw slashes at him. However the herald crushed his intent with barely any effort.
Suddenly she stopped. Before Ved could understand what was happening she disappeared.
----------------------------------------------------------
Naledi disappeared and immediately appeared Infront of the herald. Her hands barely a few centimetres away from his head.
Just as she was about to grab him, he disappeared and in his place stood a massive wiggling worm.
