Chapter 519

"I think Sasha felt tremendous pressure and realized there was no hope of victory, so she chose to admit defeat directly."

Bella, the mistress of the Sky family, narrowed her eyes slightly as she spoke, her gaze still lingering on the white figure standing calmly in the arena. Her tone was measured, but there was unmistakable admiration hidden beneath it.

"But Ethan is very particular," she continued, turning her head toward her husband with a faint smile.

"He's an interesting guy. He knows how to give Sasha a way to step down."

Max nodded slowly.

From start to finish, Ethan had never once pressed Sasha into desperation. He had neither humiliated her nor crushed her dignity. Instead, he had forced her to face a cruel truth—absolute disparity—without spilling blood.

Both husband and wife shared the same conclusion.

Ethan's strength was unquestionable.

"And that white fox demon," Bella added softly, "is also someone who understands people. He knows where to stop."

Unfortunately, not everyone in the arena possessed such insight.

"Fake match!"

"Sky family, refund the money!"

"Yes, fake match!"

The shouts erupted suddenly, like sparks thrown into dry grass.

"The fight was so fierce, and she surrendered when only one-third of the incense had burned! If that's not a fake match, what is?"

The accusations spread rapidly, growing louder and more chaotic with each breath.

In the arena, betting was a long-standing tradition. Every battle had gamblers. Every outcome had losers.

And this time, almost everyone had bet on Sasha.

"What the hell! I bet nearly all my spiritual crystals on her!"

"Why did she surrender? Why?!"

"My crystals are gone! All gone!"

Wails echoed one after another, grief-stricken and furious. Some clutched their heads, others beat their chests, as if mourning deceased relatives. All of it fused into a deafening, ugly noise that rolled across the arena like a tide of madness.

They accused Ethan.

They cursed Sasha.

They screamed about conspiracies and collusion.

But none of them understood.

This was the first time Sasha had truly witnessed what real combat power looked like.

Before today, she believed that even if she wasn't among the absolute peak of her realm, she shouldn't be far behind. She had talent, bloodline, and countless battles behind her.

Yet after facing Ethan, she finally realized the truth.

Compared to those standing at the very top… she wasn't close at all.

Not even remotely.

The realization was ruthless.

It shattered her confidence with surgical precision.

Her mood had already sunk to the bottom, and now these ants dared to scream and howl in her ears, venting their greed and incompetence onto her.

Something snapped.

"Shut up!"

Sasha suddenly shouted.

The single word exploded outward like thunder.

A terrifying wave of sound surged from her body, stirring violent air currents that swept across the arena. Dust rose, robes flapped wildly, and many people staggered backward, faces draining of color.

Intermediate Supreme pressure descended like a mountain.

Blood and energy within their bodies surged out of control. Muscles spasmed violently, joints trembling as if about to collapse. Some nearly knelt on the spot, expressions twisted in pain and fear.

No one dared to utter another sound.

The arena fell into dead silence.

After a few breaths, Sasha slowly retracted her aura. Her arms crossed over her chest as she looked down at the crowd with icy contempt.

"What are you screaming for?" she said coldly.

"The dealers have already run away. And you're still here barking?"

Her gaze shifted slightly.

Everyone followed her line of sight.

Not far away, a demon wearing black, round spectacles—his appearance resembling an old Taoist—was sneaking through the crowd. He was clutching his desk, hunched low, clearly preparing to flee while no one was paying attention.

This was the one who had set up the betting stall earlier.

The one who had loudly encouraged everyone to bet on Sasha.

And now… he was running.

"Damn it, catch him!"

"There's something wrong with this guy!"

"So many of us bet on Sasha, but he secretly bet on Ethan—this is a scam!"

"Catch him! Don't let that weasel escape!"

The crowd exploded once more, this time in unified fury.

Swish. Swish. Swish.

Figures shot forward in pursuit. Dust filled the air as dozens of cultivators gave chase, faces twisted with rage and desperation.

Ethan turned his head calmly, watching the fleeing figure grow smaller in the distance.

"Heaven-piercing Mind Eyes."

A faint blue radiance flashed across his pupils.

In that instant, layers of disguise peeled away.

"Fake demon. Human race. Ultimate Supreme."

Ethan's lips curved slightly.

"Interesting."

So this was how it was.

Blue-Wave City truly lived up to its reputation—a place where dragons coiled and tigers crouched. Even a seemingly insignificant betting stall owner turned out to be an Ultimate Supreme in disguise.

No wonder he had dared manipulate the crowd so boldly.

No wonder he had confidently guided everyone to bet on Sasha… while secretly betting on Ethan himself.

An Ultimate Supreme lacked nothing. Spiritual stones meant little to him. This was amusement—pure, malicious leisure.

Strange people existed everywhere.

Ethan didn't judge. He simply found it mildly amusing.

Once the commotion died down, the arena gradually returned to silence.

Tyler, commander of the Heavenly Palace, fixed his gaze on Ethan.

He had seen everything.

As an Ultimate Demon Lord, his vision far surpassed that of ordinary spectators. Even Max and Bella combined were not his equals in perception.

From the very first exchange, he had understood the outcome.

Sasha never truly touched Ethan.

What looked like narrow dodges were, in reality, precise calculations. Every step, every shift, every angle had been carefully controlled.

Using the least effort to evade every strike.

Such a fighting style demanded monstrous mental strength and terrifying bodily control.

It was perverse.

Even Tyler himself could not guarantee maintaining that level of precision for long.

"I cannot see through his depth," Tyler thought calmly, "He must be half-human, half-demon."

"His realm isn't merely Intermediate Demon Lord. At the very least, he has reached the level of an Upper Demon Lord."

"And his combat power… can rival an Ultimate."

A faint smile rose at the corner of his mouth.

Every trial brought surprises.

The Oceanreach Continent was vast beyond imagination. Demon Territory was but a corner of it. Beyond lay countless lands—places where terrifying experts slept in silence.

Emperor Realm cultivators were rare… but they existed.

And ancient monsters with emperor blood still hid in the shadows.

"Master," Bruce said quietly beside him, eyes burning with excitement.

"That white fox demon… he's terrifyingly strong."

Tyler nodded.

"Yes, this fox does possess something, but no matter how powerful it is, it cannot be compared to our Palace of the Four Cycles."
