Chapter 536(Magic Castle Extra Chapter)

"You are the first guest to come here," Max said slowly.

As his voice fell, he took half a step to the side and waved his sleeve. The layer of pale mist clinging to the mountain wall dispersed like smoke swept away by a strong wind.

"Mr. Ethan, this is the sincerity of our Sky family."

His tone was solemn, carrying no trace of pretense.

Ethan stepped onto the white jade altar and lifted his gaze.

The mountain wall before him was vast and steep, its surface carved with an enormous relief. The images were ancient and desolate, carrying the weight of countless years. At a glance, Ethan's pupils contracted slightly.

The scenes were familiar.

They were identical to what he had seen within the Sage Token... the Ten Emperors surrounding a single figure, heaven and earth collapsing, divine power tearing the void apart.

"That scene…" Ethan said calmly.

"You claimed that no one in the Sky family could see the memory fragments within the Sage Token. Then what exactly is carved on this wall?"

Bella stepped forward, her expression steady.

"What is carved here is the scene before Emperor Sage's fall."

She raised her hand and pointed toward the relief.

"Ten emperors besieged Emperor Sage. Seven died, three were heavily injured. Emperor Sage himself suffered fatal wounds. After escaping, he arrived in the northwest of the Demon Territory and forcibly opened a space here."

Her voice slowed.

"Knowing his foundation was shattered and his life nearing its end, Emperor Sage left his inheritance within the space he created."

Ethan's eyes moved across the relief. The final carving indeed stopped at the moment space was torn open.

"The space he opened… is the Sage Trial Secret Realm?" Ethan asked.

"That's right," Bella nodded.

"But the carving ends here. We do not know where Emperor Sage placed his true inheritance within the Training Trial Secret Realm."

She sighed softly.

"If Mr. Ethan had remained in the memory scene a little longer, perhaps you could have seen where the inheritance was truly buried."

"It is a pity."

"It is indeed a pity," Ethan replied lightly.

Then his gaze sharpened.

"However, Madam Bella still hasn't answered my question. If your ancestors couldn't see those scenes, where did these carvings come from?"

Elara stepped forward before Bella could speak.

"This begins with the origin of our Sky family."

Her voice was clear, yet carried the weight of history.

"The world believes the Sky family is an ancient hidden clan of the human race, inheriting some mysterious bloodline."

"But in truth, our founding ancestor was an ordinary human cultivator—so ordinary that no one would remember his name."

"He was born in the Skyreach Territory, near the boundary between the Skyreach Territory and the Demon Territory. By chance, he stepped onto the path of cultivation and later ventured alone into the Demon Territory to seek opportunities."

Ethan listened silently.

"By another chance, our ancestor obtained a Sage Token. Guided by it, he arrived in the northwest of the Demon Territory."

"At that time, the Palace of the Four Cycles did not yet exist. The quotas for Sage Tokens were not tightly controlled."

"With only the cultivation of the Tribulation Transcendence realm, our ancestor sneaked into the Training Trial Secret Realm."

Elara paused, her eyes slightly distant.

"Fate favored him. Within the secret realm, he discovered a peculiar treasure land, narrowly escaped death multiple times, and finally obtained part of Emperor Sage's inheritance."

"The formations of our Sky family, our weapon-refining techniques, and many of our foundations all originate from that inheritance."

"When our ancestor returned, he secluded himself to cultivate, refined weapons, married, had descendants, and established the Sky family."

"All the scenes he witnessed and all the knowledge he obtained were engraved upon this ancestral altar."

"And that secret… has been preserved to this day."

Bella continued calmly, as if recounting a distant legend.

"It is only memory and knowledge, not tangible treasures."

"Then your ancestor left no method to locate Emperor Sage's true inheritance?" Ethan asked.

"Of course he did," Bella replied.

"Mr. Ethan, please step down from the altar."

Ethan leapt down effortlessly.

Elara, Max, Uncle Ghost, and the others followed.

Bella stood alone at the center of the altar. She raised her hands, forming a series of ancient seals. A low incantation escaped her lips, ancient and obscure.

A drop of blood seeped from her fingertip.

It fell onto the altar.

Instantly, crimson light bloomed. The altar trembled, and a thin beam of light rose slowly from its center, filled with a faint aura of antiquity.

Bella waved her hand.

A blank scroll appeared before her.

The beam of light poured into the scroll like flowing water.

When the light vanished, Bella's breathing became slightly heavier. She took the scroll and handed it to Ethan.

"Mr. Ethan, this is the secret our Sky family has guarded for countless years."

"It is a map—one that leads to a treasure place within the Training Trial Secret Realm."

"This was left behind by our founding ancestor. It was there that he obtained the inheritance of formations, weapons, and refining techniques."

Ethan unfolded the scroll.

The markings were complex and obscure, carrying a faint bloodline aura that resonated subtly with the altar behind him.

"It was drawn using our Sky family's bloodline secret method," Bella added.

"It will exist for half a year at most before dissipating."

"Now, we are holding nothing back."

She met Ethan's gaze directly.

"We hope Mr. Ethan can lead the younger generation of our Sky family into that treasure land and obtain the Emperor Sage's inheritance."

"Emperor Sage's inheritance?" Ethan said calmly.

Then he shook his head slightly.

"Even if that place contains inheritance, it may not be Emperor Sage's true burial ground."

Bella nodded without hesitation.

"Mr. Ethan is correct. But even if it is not the final resting place, it is undeniably connected to Emperor Sage."

"As long as one enters that land, clues related to the true inheritance will certainly emerge."

Ethan considered this silently.

The Sage Token itself was already comparable to a holy-grade spiritual weapon. From that alone, it was clear Emperor Sage was not only peerless in cultivation, but also terrifying in weapon refinement.

The Sky family's inheritance… might truly be a fragment of something far greater.

After a moment, Ethan lifted his head and asked calmly:

"The Training Trial Secret Realm has been opened so many times."
