Chapter 548

Ethan chuckled and stretched out his palm.

In an instant, terrifying golden energy exploded outward.

Golden lightning swept across the air like a raging tide, roaring as it surged in all directions. Before the surrounding Supreme experts could even react, the lightning slammed into them head-on.

Boom!

Figures flew backward like broken kites.

The carefully condensed attacks in their hands collapsed one after another, spiritual energy scattering chaotically. Several Supreme experts slammed into trees and rocks, coughing blood as they struggled to stabilize their breathing.

"Cough cough what terrifying power!"

"My spiritual energy circulation is completely disrupted!"

"What kind of monster is this?!"

Shock spread across the faces of the Palace of the Four Cycles' experts. Even though they were Supremes, they had been blown back by a single casual palm strike.

At that moment, Max's pupils contracted sharply.

"It's Ethan!"

"That golden lightning—there's no mistake!"

"This guy… he actually disguised himself so thoroughly!"

Bella's heart skipped a beat. She had already known Ethan was strong, but she had not expected him to be able to casually scatter multiple Supreme experts with a single move.

"The Chief Palace Master, the four branch palace masters—" Ethan smiled faintly, his voice calm and unhurried, "these little fish really can't stop me."

As he spoke, a Sage Token appeared in his hand, its surface emitting a faint black glow.

"So strong…" The Palace Master of the Wind Sable Clan said solemnly.

"This level of combat power… I'm afraid it can already rival an Ultimate Supreme."

Valerius' expression darkened completely.

"Boy," he said coldly, killing intent overflowing from his eyes, "it's easy to go in, but hard to come out."

"Even if you manage to survive inside, I and the four palace masters will be waiting here."

"When you come out, there will be no escape."

"I advise you to leave now. I can pretend this never happened."

"Otherwise, once you step out, I will personally cut you into pieces."

The atmosphere instantly turned suffocating.

Ethan merely laughed.

"Kill me?"

"I'm afraid the Chief Palace Master doesn't have that ability yet."

As he spoke, his breathing technique shifted subtly. The power of the Onyx Orchid circulated silently, perfectly concealing the divine power within his body. On the surface, his aura dropped sharply, stabilizing at the peak of the Ninth Turn of Nirvana.

The Sage Token pulsed.

A black light enveloped Ethan's body as the token completed its recognition.

The next instant, Ethan stepped forward.

His figure was swallowed by the blood-red vortex.

Valerius' face turned livid.

"All trial participants of the Palace of the Four Cycles," he roared, his voice echoing across the mountains, "if you encounter this person inside the secret realm—kill him on sight!"

"Bring me his head, and I will reward you with a treasure or an inheritance technique!"

The moment those words were spoken, the eyes of countless geniuses lit up.

A reward personally promised by the Chief Palace Master—a Perfect Supreme.

That was an opportunity no one could ignore.

"So arrogant!"

"Kill him and claim the reward!"

Lunara, standing among the crowd, quietly exhaled.

She alone knew the truth.

Before entering, Ethan had already contacted her. The person who just forced his way in—was undoubtedly him.

"Everyone, let's go," Lunara said calmly.

Ember and the others nodded. One by one, they revealed their Sage Tokens and entered the Training Trial Secret Realm.

.....

When Ethan's vision stabilized again, the dizzy sensation faded like a receding tide.

His surroundings came into focus.

Endless mountain ranges stretched out before him, layered upon layered like waves of the deep sea. Mist drifted between the peaks, and ancient trees towered into the sky, their trunks several times thicker than those outside.

The spiritual energy of heaven and earth here was astonishingly dense.

With every breath, it poured into his body like a tide.

"So rich…" Ethan muttered softly.

"This really is a space created by Emperor Sage."

The concentration of spiritual energy far surpassed even Blue-Wave City.

Even without seeking any treasures, cultivating here alone would yield incredible progress.

Ethan's mind moved.

Through the jade slips, he sensed the approximate positions of Kara, Elara, and Lunara.

Lunara could wait.

Right now, he wanted to go to Kara first.

He turned his gaze southward.

Kara was just over two hills away.

"The hunt begins now."

Ethan leapt forward, an evil smile curling at the corners of his lips.

.....

Kara stood atop a blue-gray boulder.

Ahead lay a vast valley of exposed red rock. The terrain resembled the surface of the moon, dotted with craters of varying depths. Some were shallow enough to reveal cracked soil at the bottom, while others plunged into darkness like bottomless abysses.

Sparse shrubs with astonishing vitality clung stubbornly to the barren ground.

"Master," Morwen said softly as she surveyed the surroundings, "is this really the Training Trial Secret Realm? It doesn't seem that special. It looks similar to the outside."

Kara's gaze was sharp and vigilant.

"The Training Trial Secret Realm is a world of its own," she replied calmly.

"With Emperor Sage's power, he could shape any environment he wished."

"What you see… may not be the truth."

"Stay alert. Never stray far from the group."

She herself felt an unease she couldn't explain.

The environment was too quiet.

In such a vast forest, there wasn't a single birdcall, not even the faint chirp of insects.

Only the sound of wind brushing through leaves.

Too quiet.

"Your master is right," Luca said with a gentle smile, his tone warm and amiable.

"In this place, the eyes are often the easiest to deceive."

"In such a huge forest, not a single bird—does that really make sense?"

Morwen's brows knitted slightly when she heard his voice.

A strong sense of disgust welled up inside her.

But she had no choice.

She was not strong enough.

All she could do was suppress the nausea and nod silently.

"For now," Luca continued, turning his gaze to the group, "we'll set up camp nearby."

"We'll move again after tonight."

The members of the demon sects nodded in unison.

Led by Luca, they arrived at the foot of a nearby mountain.

Here, there was no longer any need to conceal their identities.

One by one, they removed their disguises, demonic auras surging freely.

With casual blows, they carved caves into the mountain wall.

In just a few minutes, six caves stood completed.

Luca's gaze swept across the group, his voice turning cold.

"No one is allowed to act without my permission."

"You may explore, but only within a two-mile radius."

"If anyone encounters danger, the others must be able to respond immediately."

He paused, a chilling smile appearing on his face.

"If you are not afraid of death."
