Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 325: Master Forgot To Come Back

The moment they stepped out of the Demon Gate, the world broke apart.

Dahlia felt her body pulled sideways.

"Again?!" she shouted.

Then she hit the ground and rolled, stopping herself with a burst of wind.

She jumped back up instantly, wings flaring as she scanned her surroundings.

"…Great," Dahlia muttered. "We got scattered."

They had been thrown to different parts of Demon Gate Island.

Arden landed near a dense patch of forest.

He stumbled forward, caught himself on a tree, then let out a breath and laughed weakly.

Green light spread from his feet as his body recovered.

"Finally back," he said softly. "Home field advantage."

He placed a hand on the ground, and the soreness in his body faded almost instantly, his breathing steadying as vines and grass around him reacted gently.

Dion appeared near a rocky slope, sitting down hard and groaning.

"Yeah. I officially hate unstable gates."

Eliza emerged deeper in the forest, silent as always.

She checked her surroundings, then moved immediately, heading toward the Demon Gate.

One by one, they regrouped.

Arden arrived with a bright smile, looking far better than he had moments ago.

"Everyone okay?"

Dion stretched his back. "Alive. Slightly annoyed."

Eliza nodded once.

Only then did they step into the clearing.

Rynar, Rynor, and Clara were already there, guarding the Demon Gate along with the Legendary Beasts.

The moment Dahlia landed, all heads snapped toward her.

"The hell?!" Rynor shouted. "You guys just popped back in!"

Rynar crossed his arms, eyes sharp. "You disappeared. Then the gate shook. What happened?"

Clara leaned forward, hands behind her back, eyes sparkling.

"Oho? That look on your face says chaos."

The Legendary Beasts were silent, but their attention was fully focused now.

Dahlia smirked and dropped her wings.

"Relax. We're fine."

Rynor blinked. "That's it? You vanish into a demon world, and that's all you say?"

Dahlia laughed. "Alright, alright."

She waved a hand. "So. The other side?"

She glanced at the Demon Gate, then back at them.

"It's bad."

That got everyone's attention.

Clara straightened. "Bad how?"

Dahlia shrugged. "Demon city. High nobles. Greedy merchants. Slave dealers. A general who really wanted to punch things."

Rynor whistled. "Sounds fun."

"It wasn't," Dahlia replied. "They tried to capture us for information."

Rynar's expression darkened. "Figures."

Arden stepped forward, calmer than usual, his voice steady.

"The Demon Gate isn't just an ordinary spatial gate. It connects directly to a functioning demon society."

The Legendary Beasts reacted immediately.

Eldrin's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the gate.

"…That explains why it was so strange," he said quietly. "Fortunately, we sealed it long ago."

His gaze then sharpened.

"But still... what happened on the other side?"

Dahlia opened her mouth to answer.

Before she could say a single word, the Demon Gate trembled.

Everyone froze.

The black surface of the gate rippled violently.

Cracks spread across it like broken glass.

A deep pulling force appeared at its center, twisting space inward.

"What the hell?" Rynor shouted, stepping back.

Clara's grin vanished. "Uh. That's not normal."

The gate shook harder.

Then, without warning, it began to shrink.

The entire structure folded inward, swallowed by an invisible force.

In just a few breaths, the massive black portal was gone, leaving behind nothing but empty air.

Silence fell over the clearing.

"…What just happened?" Rynar asked slowly.

Dahlia blinked a few times, staring at the empty space.

"I… don't know," she admitted. "But at least the Demon Gate is gone."

A long, heavy tension drained from the air.

One by one, the Legendary Beasts lowered their posture.

Bastor's massive body settled onto the ground.

Varyn coiled beside him, unmoving.

Cindor folded his wings.

Even Silvar's rigid stance eased slightly.

Eldrin closed his eyes.

"…It is finished," he said softly.

For the first time in decades, his voice carried relief.

"We have sealed it for so long," Eldrin continued. "Day after day. Year after year."

He opened his eyes and looked at the place where the gate had been.

"And now… it is truly gone."

A deep breath escaped him.

"Our duty is complete."

Silvar spoke next, his voice low and firm.

"The demon tide that destroyed our sects… it ends here."

Cindor nodded once.

"This is our revenge," he said simply. "Long overdue."

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then Clara suddenly laughed.

"Hahaha. Finally," she said, throwing her hands up. "You ancient beasts can stop stressing now."

Dahlia laughed with her, wings folding back as she stretched her arms.

"Yeah. Decades of guarding duty are finally over. You guys earned a break."

Eldrin smiled. It was small, but real.

"Yes," he said gently. "At last, we may rest."

Then his expression shifted slightly.

"By the way," Eldrin added, looking around, "where is your master?"

The laughter faded.

Dahlia blinked. "Huh?"

She turned her head, scanning the clearing. Rynar, Rynor, Clara, Arden, Dion, and Eliza. Everyone was there.

Except one person.

"…Wait," Dahlia muttered. "He should be here already."

Clara frowned. "Yeah. He always shows up last, but not this late."

Eliza had already returned from the God Gym by then.

She stood quietly at the edge of the clearing and shook her head once.

"He's not here," Dion said slowly. "I checked."

The mood shifted.

Arden's eyes widened as a thought hit him. "D-Don't tell me…"

Everyone looked at him.

Arden swallowed.

"Did Master destroy the Demon Gate… from the other side?"

The clearing went silent.

Eldrin's calm expression cracked for the first time.

His eyes widened slightly as he turned back toward the empty space where the gate had been.

"…That is impossible," Eldrin said quietly.

The tension spread fast.

Rynar clenched his fists. "Don't tell me he got trapped."

Rynor cursed under his breath. "That idiot better not have..."

Arden felt his chest tighten. "M-Master wouldn't just..."

Dion's jaw tightened, and even Clara stopped joking, her smile fading as she looked around.

Only Dahlia didn't panic.

She threw her head back and laughed loudly.

"Hahaha. Relax," she said, waving a hand. "You're all worrying for nothing."

Everyone stared at her.

Dahlia wiped a tear from the corner of her eye.

"That's our master we're talking about. He's not a normal cultivator. He doesn't follow rules, remember?"

She crossed her arms confidently.

"If anyone can destroy a Demon Gate from the other side and walk away, it's him."

The tension slowly eased.

Eldrin exhaled, his shoulders lowering. "…I see."

Dahlia turned toward the path back to the God Gym.

"For now, let's go home. With the Demon Gate gone, this island is finally safe."

Her grin widened.

"And that means we can train properly. Build the God Gym even stronger."

She looked back once.

"When Master comes back, I want him to see how far we've grown."

With that, the group began to move.
