Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 130: Exiled To Space

Twenty minutes later, after Victoria had left, Godfrey sat on his bed, facing the floor-to-ceiling glass wall and staring at the beautiful, peaceful street below.

It was a good time to go down and buy some snacks or check his platform for green gate dungeons, but none of these thoughts crossed his mind.

He tried reaching out to Percival, but it turned out Percival had left earlier tonight with his mother for his sister's concert. Isolde's phone was switched off.

Godfrey shut his eyes. He was given a ticket too. What did it matter now?

Suddenly, a gray ring appeared at the wall directly opposite the glass wall, and two individuals stepped out. Both were clad in dark blue coats with double rows of silver buttons, bearing the insignias of the authorities.

The coats had stiff, upright collars.

One of them had a low cut and a stern face. When he noticed Godfrey had seen them, he began to speak.

"You were not supposed to hear this. Soiling my hands with a kid's blood is something I would personally want to avoid."

Godfrey shot to his feet, but a gray foggy ring swallowed him from behind.

In the next moment, he was in the clouds, being launched at breakneck speed through several rings.

Each ring took him thousands of feet into the sky, crossing into the stratosphere.

"Go ahead," Randy, the lieutenant, said as he walked to the glass wall, looking at the clouds while the other agent morphed into Godfrey.

"Where did you send him?"

Randy tilted his head so his second could see part of his face.

"Space."

Indeed, as he said, Godfrey was already outside the planet.

As the deathly vacuum crept into his body, Earth in all its splendor reflected in his irises as life threatened to fade away.

He floated weightlessly away from the planet, his mind already telling him he was dead as the seconds ticked by.

The moment the eleventh second came, Godfrey's eyes gleamed, and for the first time, he activated Fusion.

Tempest appeared, and he fused, finding his consciousness inside Tempest's body. Golden tendrils moved ever so slowly in the dark space, giving light to the surroundings as Godfrey examined his powerful knightly form.

There was something about Tempest's physique he sorely lacked.

It felt unreal, his nerves crackling every now and then with dormant lightning.

And above all that, Tempest could survive in space.

It was probably an ability gained from the chimeric lightning-tendril Phoenix.

Even in Black-Out State, Tempest's strength capped out at 9.0.

Apparently, they couldn't surpass 0.5 after reaching the peak of their potential, even in Black-Out.

But now that his strength was 9.0, his armour and greatsword allowed him to combat 9.5 foes.

My Prince, show no mercy.

Tempest's voice rang in his head.

The tendril wings spread wide and flapped, launching Godfrey back toward the Earth.

Soon, something burst into the Earth's atmosphere, burning with flames like a meteor.

Thousands in Manhattan could see the lone meteor, larger than normal, streaking downward. Some pointed at it casually, but those with sharp-sighted summons could make out the traces of a heavily armoured being within that ball of flames.

Randy squinted as he saw what looked like a meteor descending from the clouds toward the same location.

When he realized it was Godfrey, his eyes widened.

"He didn't die in space?!"

Godfrey, now in Tempest's body, hurled the Double-Bladed Greatsword. It spun like a beyblade, generating a fierce gale that shattered the glasses of skyscrapers as it shot straight toward Skyline 88.

Godfrey wasn't holding back.

This wasn't the academy anymore, this was a fight for his life and his mother's.

Randy summoned another ring, and the greatsword vanished into it just as it almost kissed the glass wall.

Randy barely caught his breath when a golden light flared behind him and a huge gauntleted hand clamped on his head.

Through the reflection on the glass, Randy saw a massive knight with spikes protruding from his armour.

It was Mountain.

In the next moment, Mountain crushed the lieutenant's head, then turned and raised his Bastion at the other agent, who pulled out a pistol and shot.

To his shock, the bullets ricocheted back, tearing through his own body.

He staggered back, but Mountain, a hulking tank, charged and unleashed his trademark spartan kick, sending the man tearing through the concrete wall into the next room.

Just then, the glass wall burst into countless shards.

Mountain turned to Godfrey, who floated at the edge, wings spread wide as they crackled with intensity, reflecting his current mood.

"My Prince."

Mountain dropped to one knee, head bowed. He could feel it was Godfrey controlling Tempest's body.

Valentina rushed into the room with Victoria, her eyes wide with shock at the corpse of an agent and the destruction around the room.

"We're leaving," Godfrey said.

Valentina paled.

"The entire world will be after us. Where are we going to run to?"

Godfrey didn't bother replying. Who cared where they ran to?

It was better than whatever their current position offered.

He grabbed them both and soared into the sky.

His goal was to fly far from Manhattan, but he didn't get far before the headlight of a helicopter locked on him.

Godfrey's eyes gleamed as he activated Lightning Descent.

Thick bolts of lightning fell from above, consuming the helicopter and forcing it to explode, lighting up the night sky.

"It's a Fanatic!" people on the streets shouted, running for shelter as dozens of black-armoured vehicles zoomed by, heading toward Godfrey.

"He's too fast," one policeman said from the front seat of the first vehicle. "Slow him down!"

"He won't go far," came a reply.

A summoner astride a huge griffin soared down, its magnificent wings spread wide as it followed Godfrey.

Godfrey's Lightning Descent struck it, but the griffin evaded at the perfect moment. The little that touched it didn't even cause the slightest damage.

Tilting sideways, it opened its beak and launched an energy beam.

Godfrey brought his wings together and spun, narrowly evading the beam before spreading them out again to gain distance from the griffin summoner, a powerful lord-tier summoner.

To Godfrey's shock, a giant eagle burst from the clouds, crimson lightning coming with it.

The crimson lightning formed a cage, each rod twice as thick as normal, surrounding Godfrey.
