Encouraged by her dad and older siblings, Sanbao finally took a crucial step.
"H-hello, everyone."
"I'm Sanbao, and I'm one year old."
"I… I have toys in my backpack…"
As she spoke, Sanbao looked toward Lin Feng.
Lin Feng continued to encourage her. "What else?"
Sanbao thought for a moment. "I love Daddy!"
Then, clasping her little hands together, she revealed an angelic smile and made a finger heart.
"Heart!"
Lin Feng smiled and made a heart gesture back to his daughter.
The teacher smiled and said, "Who else in our class is new?"
A mother came up, holding a little boy.
"Hello, everyone, I'm Chen Wenlong's mom."
"Come on, son, introduce yourself."
The little boy was a bit shy. "Hello, everyone, my name is Chen Wenlong… I'm two years old!"
His mother asked, "Anything else?"
Chen Wenlong shook his head.
His mother was a bit disappointed but still encouraged her son. "Great job!"
"If there are no other new students, then let's begin our lesson."
"Today's activity is Pictionary. One person will draw, and the rest of us will guess."
"Every child will have a chance."
With the five new children, the class now had twenty students in total.
Teacher An called out, "First child, please come up."
The first child was a baby about one year old, who came up with his parent.
Teacher An said, "I'll secretly tell you what to draw, and then you can draw it for everyone to guess!"
The little baby looked bewildered, so it was the parent beside him who responded.
"Teacher, we're ready."
The topic was a ball.
The parent and child completed the drawing together. With the parent's help, the audience easily guessed it was a ball.
Teacher An rewarded the baby with a small Superman sticker.
Seeing the sticker on his chest, the baby was absolutely delighted.
Soon it was Dabao and his siblings' turn.
Lin Feng encouraged Dabao to go up and try by himself.
As the eldest of the siblings, Dabao understood his role. He was the big brother! Combined with his naturally composed and quiet personality, he had become even more serious.
Dabao went up.
Teacher An whispered into his ear, "Grapes."
Dabao instinctively glanced in Lin Feng's direction.
Lin Feng called to the other children, "Come on, let's cheer for big brother!"
With a clamor, the babies all started shouting at once.
"Go, big brother!"
Erbao's loud voice was especially energetic.
"Go, big brother!!!"
Seemingly encouraged, Dabao turned back to the board and began to draw vigorously, filling it with many circles of various sizes.
The parents and children all started making wild guesses. One particularly imaginative child even guessed they were pimples!
What???
Seeing that no one could figure it out after a while, Dabao grew anxious. He turned to look at the drawing board, confident there was nothing wrong with his work, which only made him more flustered.
Teacher An whispered, "Dabao, you can give everyone a hint."
Dabao puffed out his cheeks and announced, "It's grapes!"
Everyone paused for a second, then couldn't help but laugh.
As a father, he had to back his son up.
Lin Feng quickly jumped in to praise him. "Oh, they're *washed* grapes! No wonder Daddy couldn't tell!"
Sibao looked perplexed. Washed grapes? Why are they shaped so strangely?
Lin Feng praised his son, "You did a fantastic job drawing!" He then turned to his other little ones for confirmation, so Dabao also received a round of praise from his younger brother and sisters.
He was happy now, coming down from the stage with a big smile.
Teacher An called out, "Erbao."
Neither Erbao nor Sibao was shy; they were both bold and outgoing children.
The teacher gave her the topic: an apple.
This topic had come up before, so Erbao immediately applied what she'd learned, adding her own twist.
And then…
Dabao immediately guessed, "Is it poop?"
What?
At first glance, it did bear a passing resemblance. The children's minds had no limits, so they naturally made all sorts of wild guesses.
It's unknown whether it was influenced by Dabao's comment, but even though the parents knew it was an apple, they still found it a bit difficult to look directly at the drawing.
They all burst out laughing. This was the charm of children; they can always give you the most unexpected surprises.
Erbao wasn't upset either, laughing along with everyone else.
"That's not it."
"Is it a balloon?"
Erbao shook her head.
Finally, Sibao asked, "An apple?"
Erbao jumped up excitedly. "That's right, it's an apple!"
Sibao pursed his lips and smiled. Now it was his turn.
The teacher asked him to draw a watermelon.
Sibao thought for a moment and drew a strangely shaped… circle? He then scribbled something indecipherable inside it.
Next came the guessing session. Not just the children, but even the adults couldn't figure it out.
"Watermelon?" Dabao answered tentatively, and Sibao immediately grew excited.
Teacher An asked with a smile, "How did you guess it, Dabao? Great job, it is a watermelon!"
Dabao and Sibao were practically inseparable, so Lin Feng wasn't surprised that Dabao could guess it.
Next up was Sanbao.
Lin Feng encouraged Sanbao to go on stage.
Eager to try, Sanbao kept looking back at Lin Feng every few steps. Lin Feng's gaze never left her.
Teacher An whispered in Sanbao's ear, "Banana."
Banana?
Sanbao thought about it and began to draw slowly.
It looked less like a banana and more like a row of different-sized sausages. No one guessed correctly.
Sanbao looked somewhat despondent, pouting her little lips.
Seeing the little fairy look so crestfallen, everyone's heart melted.
Teacher An gave a hint to the parents and children.
"It's a type of fruit!"
Fruit?
Sibao immediately shouted, "Banana!"
Sanbao was delighted, clapping her hands with a smile.
"That's right, you guessed it! It's a banana!"
All the students in the class had taken a turn drawing, but there were still a few minutes left.
"Now let's have some parents join in!"
Teacher An's eyes swept the room. "Let's have Lin Feng come up."
Lin Feng sketched rapidly, drawing an adorable Ultraman.
The little ones who liked Ultraman were incredibly excited.
"Ultraman, it's Ultraman!"
"PEW PEW PEW… Watch my light beam…"
"Transform!"
"You monster!"
Teacher An praised him.
"Since Lin Feng is such a great artist, should we have him draw another one for us?"
"Yes!!!" everyone shouted in unison.
Lin Feng drew a Transformer.
"Wow, a robot! It's so cool."
"It's not just a robot, it's a Transformer."
"They… they change from cars… into robots…"
Teacher An let the children discuss while she spoke to the parents.
"Tonight, you can play this drawing and guessing game with your children."
"Let them draw anything they want and let their imaginations run wild."
"As parents, we need to give them enough space."
"Even if their drawings are a little messy, we mustn't criticize or discourage them!"
"When we parents were their age, we might not have been nearly as good as they are!"
The bell signaling the end of class rang, and Teacher An clapped her hands.
"Alright, little ones, that's all the time we have for today."
"When you get home, how about you play this game with your mom and dad, and your grandpa and grandma, okay?"
"Okay!!"
The children all shouted in unison.
