Back at the Green Lake Villa, Zhang Yuxi was in the living room working on documents with her laptop.

As soon as the door opened, the children came swarming in.

Zhang Yuxi hugged them, and seeing the smiles on their faces, she knew they had a wonderful time. Still, she asked, "Did you have fun at your classmate's house today?"

All four of them chimed in unison, "Yes!"

Carrying a bag, Lin Feng went to the kitchen. "It's good to reciprocate, kids. Let's invite your classmate over to play tomorrow."

Zhang Yuxi was both surprised and delighted. "Really? That's great! Our children have made a new friend!"

As a mother, she naturally hoped her kids would be able to make new friends.

Fourth Treasure gestured wildly. "His house has a really big Ultraman!" As he spoke, his expression was full of exaggeration.

She chatted with the children about their first visit to a classmate's house, which had been a surprising and exciting experience for them.

Third Treasure nestled in Zhang Yuxi's arms. "Mommy, their house is so small!"

"That's okay," Zhang Yuxi said with a smile. "As long as his parents love him and the family is happy together, that's all that's important."

"What if Mommy and Daddy bought you... a house that's even bigger and more beautiful than this one?" she continued. "But what if we were so busy with our own things that we never played with you or told you stories?

"And what if Daddy couldn't be home every day to play with you and cook your meals?

"Then living in a big house wouldn't make you happy, would it?"

Second Treasure, ever the sweet-talker, quickly said, "We wouldn't be happy without Mommy and Daddy!"

Third Treasure quickly hugged Zhang Yuxi. "Third Treasure wants Mommy and Daddy! Even if we live in a tiny, super-tiny house, I don't ever want to leave you!"

Zhang Yuxi hugged her tiny body and said with a laugh, "It doesn't matter where we live. As long as everyone is happy, that's all that matters, right?"

The children nodded.

Lin Feng's voice came from the kitchen, "Honey, what did you eat for dinner?"

Zhang Yuxi frowned. "I had a bowl of beef noodles out."

Lin Feng could tell from her tone that something was off. "Wasn't it good?"

He knew all the places to eat near the school and whether they were any good.

"It wasn't very good," Zhang Yuxi said softly. "Nowhere near as good as what you make."

Of the entire bowl, she had only eaten the beef and a few mouthfuls of the noodles. Lin Feng had completely spoiled her palate; in the past, she had been pretty easygoing about food.

"You barely ate, did you? I'll make you some egg noodles. When we visited, Jiang Chenchen's mother gave us some homemade sauce. I just tried it, and it tastes great."

Touched, Zhang Yuxi went pitter-pattering to the kitchen. "I'm sorry to make you work so hard, honey."

Lin Feng glanced at her. "It's no trouble at all." He paused before adding, "I figured you hadn't eaten enough, but you didn't tell me. What, were you going to get hungry later tonight and want me to mix you some of the kids' formula?"

Zhang Yuxi knew he was just teasing her. "You're already so tired from taking care of the kids and me all day. It was just one meal; it's not like I couldn't bear it."

Hearing this, Lin Feng felt both annoyed and heartbroken. He gently poked her forehead. "It's just one meal. It only takes me ten minutes to make it. How is that tiring?"

"Thank you, honey," Zhang Yuxi said, hugging him. He never mentioned being tired. It wasn't that he wasn't exhausted; he just shouldered it all himself.

Third Treasure came over, blinking her eyes curiously. "Mommy, Daddy, what are you doing?"

After the children fell asleep, Zhang Yuxi and Lin Feng discussed having their classmate over the next day. Zhang Yuxi leaned against Lin Feng's chest. "This is the first time our kids have invited a friend over. I'm so relieved and excited."

Lin Feng laid out the plan. "I'll call them tomorrow morning to see when they can come. We can take them to the amusement park for a bit."

The children danced with joy.

Zhang Yuxi got up. "I'll go buy groceries."

Lin Feng was already heading to the entryway. "I'll go. You stay home and watch the kids, honey."
