"Milly!"
Luo De tightly hugged the little girl, reaching out his hand to probe the breath in front of her nose.
Fortunately, her breathing was steady.
She had just fainted.
Luo De only knew that Milly would have nightmares after being lucky; he didn't expect her to faint.
Luo De picked her up by the waist, and the little girl suddenly furrowed her brow, clutching Luo De's clothes tightly.
It seemed like the dream she saw after fainting wasn't a happy place.
"Leia!"
Luo De called out softly, and Leia immediately ran over.
"Master!"
"Prepare the bed well, let her have a good sleep."
"Yes, Master!"
Leia hurriedly ran to Milly's little room and started working busily.
After Luo De settled Milly down, Avril and Vivian came running in one after the other.
"What's wrong with Milly?!"
Avril asked worriedly.
"It might be due to using the Witch's powers."
Luo De explained with a furrowed brow.
Avril still didn't know what Milly's powers were, she just walked over and gently touched Milly's forehead.
"That's okay, she won't die."
Vivian crossed her arms over her chest, leaned against the door frame, and said casually, "She's just exhausted, rest well for a few days, and it'll be fine."
"You understand well?" Luo De turned and asked.
Vivian pouted and pointed at Avril, "Every time after I die, Sister feels very tired."
"My death causes the energy in Sister's body to be completely drained, so she feels very tired."
Vivian added, "Just guessing."
"Hope so."
Luo De sighed slightly.
"I'll stay with Milly tonight, you can go sleep."
"I'll stay too." Avril asked with some concern.
Vivian walked to the chair, her rounded hips sitting right down on it.
"I'm not tired."
"..."
Luo De glanced at Vivian.
If you're worried about Milly, then just say you're worried, instead of pretending you're not tired.
Luo De really didn't understand why the gentle and honest Avril would summon such a sharp-tongued and arrogant clone.
"Then you stay here first, I have some things to finish."
"Hmm, go ahead." Avril nodded.
Luo De got up and returned to the studio, putting away all the inked grass paper.
Stored four tomes of Sea Race books well and locked them in the hidden compartment of the cabinet.
Then Luo De took the Sea Race language journal back to Milly's room, studying their language while guarding Milly.
Learning a foreign language takes a long time, Luo De only hoped to get an impression so he could quickly find information when needed.
It's worth mentioning that, as his spiritual strength increased, Luo De felt his memory was also improving.
Don't rush, looking carefully twice could let you remember a third.
But he still needed to consolidate to avoid new content occupying previous knowledge.
...
...
The night was thick.
Stars and moon were covered by clouds.
The north wind howled, sweeping through the bare treetops, making spooky and eerie wails like wandering spirits.
The cold chill invaded every inch of exposed skin, causing the guards at Winter Manor to shiver involuntarily.
Even flame couldn't dispel the cold outside during the North Wilderness's winter nights.
In the shadows of the snow, a black-red shadow was slowly wriggling forward, like a thick old bloodstain, sneaking through the manor's gate gap and spreading quietly forward.
The Winter Manor guards were very vigilant, occasionally strolling back and forth at the gate.
Whenever a guard passed by, the black-red mass would stop moving, hiding in the darkness as if it really were a disgusting bloodstain.
In fact, in such dark shadow, even if this bloodstain wriggled under the guards' eyes, it was hard to be noticed.
After the guards left, the bloodstain continued moving.
It circled around the manor, seemingly looking for something.
When moving near Frost and Thunder's nest, it suddenly halted.
It wriggled up along the wall, slipping through the vent of the wooden house into Frost and Thunder's nest.
Soon after, it settled in a corner, bubbling and making weak hissing sounds before starting to reach upward.
Within the blood, vague dark patterns surfaced, coagulated clots climbed upward, converging, stretching out into a human silhouette; first in the bone-like framework, then the form of muscle, finally the texture of skin.
Then a trace of bloodstain spread along the skin, layer by layer condensing into a robe covering the skin.
The whole process was incredibly fast, the filthy thick bloodstain turned into a tall burly figure in the blink of an eye.
The figure in the red robe looked at the sleeping Frost and Thunder, smiling sinisterly.
"It's really interesting to see two hatchlings of Two-legged Flying Dragons here..."
The red robe figure mused, curiously wanting to step forward.
As soon as he reached out his pale fingers, Frost and Thunder seemed to sense something, their heads slightly moved.
"The two little guys are quite perceptive."
The red robe chuckled softly and stopped his movements.
"Better take care of business first, I'll play with you two later."
The red robe then started to squirm, quickly turning back into a pad of viscous liquid, swiftly leaving along the wall.
It adjusted its direction, advanced on its way, circled the entire manor, and finally stopped in front of the main house.
Then, it slipped through the door crack into the lobby, silently crossing it and entering the master bedroom to investigate, finding no one there.
The bloodstain lingered in place, seemingly puzzled about why the master bedroom was empty.
But after pausing for a moment, it turned and slid into the adjacent side bedroom.
"So here they are."
The bloodstain discovered three figures on the bed, two large and one small.
"Seems this is Baron Rod."
The dark-red bloodstain twisted and squirmed again, condensing into the figure in the red robe.
